Botox for '11' lines

DavetheCat2001 · 16/01/2018 09:33

Has anyone had this done?

Were you happy with the results, and did you have any problems with it?

How long does it last approx?

Apologies if this has been discussed many times before, but I am in a bit of a rush today. My frown lines are really getting me down (pardon the pun!), and making me look loads older than I am.

Just thinking about it at the moment, so would really appreciate any stories/thoughts good and bad!

Yeah I definitely saw a difference within a couple of days, I reckon a week for full effect

DavetheCat2001 · 26/01/2018 14:19

I don't recall a crunch!

She did ask if I was ok, and I said after giving birth to 2 kids and 3 tattoo's, my pain threshold is pretty stellar! Grin

£700 is expensive,they usually charge aroung £250=£300.
Glad you are pleased though, what was the charge for your 11s?
Could depend where in the country you are though,
I expect London prices might be more, although the cost price will be approx the same i guess

DavetheCat2001 · 26/01/2018 19:13

I am in London so expect thats why its so pricey.

The 11's cost me £195 which includes the consultation and follow up appointment and possible top up in 2 weeks.

Not something I could afford on a regular basis!

Yeah that's the same as the Harley st place I went. I'm thinking 2-3x per year if I can

Aridane · 26/01/2018 19:34

salad - I only had a ‘crunch’ for fillers - maybe that’s what you’ Thinking of?

ilovesaladcreamandbeards · 26/01/2018 20:08

No I've never had a filler in my life, only Botox. The skin in the forehead makes a little crunch sound as the needle goes in, have heard a few people mention it in other threads. It's a weird little noise 😳 but not unpleasant x

Fosterdog123 · 26/01/2018 20:16

Yeah, I've occasionally heard/felt that crunchy noise when the needle breaks the skin. It's a tiny bit uncomfortable but I would never really describe it as painful.

DianaT1969 · 26/01/2018 21:01

Dave - I wonder why she thought your brows might droop if you had your forehead done? Does she prefer not to do both 11s and forehead at the same time?

DavetheCat2001 · 26/01/2018 21:44

I think because one side of my forehead is more lined than the other, and I was asking if I could just have the bad side done.

I also think she probably wants to see how I get on with this first lot too. I actually appreciated her not pushing me into having more straight away.

DianaT1969 · 27/01/2018 07:21

Dave - that makes sense. I hope the results are good for you.

DavetheCat2001 · 27/01/2018 07:34

Thanks Smile

Actually this morning I think the line may have softened a bit. I can still move the muscles though.

Dave take a few pics with different face movements on a daily basis, it's amazing day to day even the difference. Are you going to tell people you have had it? X

DavetheCat2001 · 27/01/2018 08:57

I already have told a few people and my mum!

I was a bit over excited. Will probably not mention it to anyone else now though!

I love Botox, it makes me feel so much fresher. I have it about 3 times a year. The more you have it the longer the results last.

ddrmum · 27/01/2018 17:21

I am becoming ever more convinced that I need to take the plunge!!

ilovesaladcreamandbeards · 27/01/2018 17:40

You should just go for it Ddrmum! Twice a year, couple of hundred pounds a time, saves a fortune in creams to try make you more youthful but just don't work! It's totally worth it :-)

DavetheCat2001 · 27/01/2018 18:03

I still don't believe it's going to work as I can still frown as much as before!

OP posts:
TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/01/2018 18:25

Just wait! It will kick in v soon

FacelikeaBagofHammers · 27/01/2018 22:17

I'm really really tempted. The only thing I'm worried about is that my face will look un-natural - so it'll look like I'm frowning but then there is something weird going on with my forehead. I'm all on for getting it myself, I just don't want people to know! Does that sounds bad!! :O

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/01/2018 23:17

Honestly unless you immobilise your whole forehead and the rest of your face is wrinkly, no one will notice. A good clinic won't let you do that

lovemylover · 28/01/2018 07:27

Well hard my. Top up.Now one eye all most closed

DavetheCat2001 · 28/01/2018 08:01

Oh no.. how come???

Day 2 post botox and I can still frown!

OP posts:
userxx · 28/01/2018 08:36

It's only day 2 and it was your first time - give it till day 5 👍.

Love - why is your eye closed?
