Today's AC SotD Rose Anonyme. Turkish rose, bergamot, and oud. Quite like it but preferred yesterday's Ambre Nue. Good to get a break from the all the citrus though. Cheap yours sounds good, I hope I get some.

PIAM the Carolina Herrera in the black and white polka dot box? Scent of my second year at uni. I loved it so much, and had matching shower gel and body lotion. I even bought my boyfriend the men’s version (brown and yellow polka dot box).

Grin Pest at the ridiculousness of that Pom Pom. I find Tenue Soirée so overwhelming that it gives me a headache. It’s completely at odds with the rest of the AG house. I think this is a marketing driven creation aimed at the younger market.

I remember that one Judy I think it must have been discontinued?

countfosco that sounds wonderful- what’s the longevity like on that one?

I’m going to be offline for a few days - business trip where I suspect I will be working 247. Going to console myself with duty free perfume browsing on the way there.

Taking a loud oud (Maison Francis Kurkdjian Satin Mood) for evenings, hope it doesn’t offend my colleagues - I’m a big oud fan but can’t get away with it in the daytime

I might have missed you now but just in case you've not left Bluebell PM me if you'd like my Roae Anonyme sample - I'm not so keen on rose and I suspect this one's destined for a life buried away in the sample box!

I still reek of BVC this morning! That is strong stuff. Working from home today (yay!) so just going to jump in shower and then choose. Might go for something grand and classic, one of the Guerlains maybe...will fit perfectly with my fleecy pjs, dressing gown and fluffy socks Grin

cardoon, PM me re the Lutens.

Ooh me too! I hadn't opened mine yet, so I've just opened it and had a spray. I like the orange, it's a bit pithy, but can't work out what the other note I can smell is. I know I've smelt it in other perfumes, and I'm not keen on it, but I'll see how it dries down.
My cleaner likes it! She walked in the room just after I'd sprayed it on, and said it smelt nice, so I said she could try it on herself. We're both wafting orange about now!

MrsPest, Shay & Blue Blood Oranges is in my top ten perfumes! I just love it and it lasts all day on me. It’s the only one in that line where I have a full bottle, although I have tested some of the others and love them too. Motoko, that note you can smell is probably leather, but it’s a very classy one.

The BVC was still on my arms this morning, together with the sweetness of the Shazam!, but as a skin scent only. I think I prefer each of them as separate perfumes, but I might experiment with layering other sweet perfumes with BVC, perhaps something more linear than Shazam.

Fragrantica says Top note is blood orange; middle note is leather; base notes are musk, woody notes and amber. I'm suspecting a dash of rhubarb as that would make ordinary orange head towards blood orange and describe the note that is a bit funny on me.

BVC is quite pungent. Grin

Kittens Scent makes DD small of incontinent old man (reminded her of her gap year job as a carer) Shock I however love it.

I've tried it
It smells of mouthwash to me 🤢
I'm not a gourmand/mugler fan

I thought it was Aura that smelt of mouth wash.
Alien is a Jasmine big hitter. Some people get obsessed by Alien and over spray it, which is dangerous with such a strong scent.
Personally I prefer Jamsin Noir.

I had a sniff of Alien at the airport along with Aura, Aura because the scary lady sprayed me and Alien because it's often talked about. Aura was toothpaste, but Alien was nice, and I keep saying to myself I need a proper go of it as I think it might be my kind of thing.

I am gutted to report that Lonesome Rider is Not That Nice. Sad I had read somewhere it was the last of the trilogy of LADDM and LM and so was expecting really ramped up spice and medicinal masculinity. I was expecting to recoil in horror at the first spray and then settle down into spicy if skanky beauty afterwards. Instead on first spray I thought "oh, it's sweet" then it changes to "oh it's aftershave" and then to "it's another bloody oud"

It's a Tauer miss from me I'm afraid. Not a minger, not a scrubber, but not one I'll be reaching for that often.
