Motoko, I had that problem to start with. You need to register with them first and then pick your samples.

SOTD is 4160’s Paris 1948. It has a peach vintage smell and is very distinctive. Beautiful. I don’t reach for it that often but enjoy it when I do.

Motoko · 17/01/2018 15:33

Yeah, I did that because it wouldn't let me pick any until I'd either logged in as a returning customer, or registered.
Oh well, I'll keep trying.

Motoko · 17/01/2018 15:45

Aah, sorted it! Logged out, then logged in again, and it worked! I only ordered a couple of perfume samples, as I wanted to try some of the skin care samples too.

The perfume samples I ordered were Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal, as I've never tried any of his, and Gucci Bloom, mainly because it's a 5ml sample!

Calmwhoknows · 17/01/2018 16:23

Yes, the Gucci Bloom is great value! I avoided the 1ml samples - just too small to get to know the perfume. I ended up with ELDO Archive 69 and Remarkable People. Also MM Replica Beach and Annick Goutal Tenue de Soirée.

Motoko · 17/01/2018 16:41

It's a shame we can only order the samples once a month!

PerfumeIsAMessage · 17/01/2018 18:36

Feel Unique ship to Italy, I often use them for stuff. Samples did you say?

Sotd PP Infusions d'Iris Cedre thingy. Lovely lovely lovely. Will be, along with Iris on its own, my go to comfort not-think-too-hard scent.

Blue week indeedy, as I discovered yesterday that it's the school Open Day on Sunday. I thought it was next Sunday but it's not, it's this. So by next weekend, I will have done 13 days of school in a row, including 9 (unpaid) hours of practicing for the night thing, 8 (unpaid) hours on Sunday, and next week we also have the joy of 5 (unpaid) hours of meetings to sort out end of term marks.

CheapTarnishedGlitter · 17/01/2018 19:26

Hoping all went well this morning for Mr Judy.

PIAM ouch... I have a 13 day run every August and I feel as useful as a plate of jelly by the end of it.

SotD was fakey Addict. Got comments on it - hope they were genuine but have horrible suspicion that as I succumb to a cough/cold I may have too too heavy handed and it was just a polite way to let me know that it was strong. Oops...

Right, off to fill a completely theoretical Feel Unique basket

CountFosco · 17/01/2018 19:31

SotD Mistral Patchouli by AC. One of my favourite ACs. The Patchouli is very much in the background, there's the usual AC freshness (probably the Pomelo and vetiver) and some floral (geranium and iris) but there's a slight dirtiness to it as well from the spices. Of course it doesn't last very long but some got on my scarf in the morning and so I enjoyed it again on the way home.

MrsMacNally · 17/01/2018 19:45

Hope all went well for Mr DoH Judy?

Exactly Blue!

Calm we can compare notes on the ELd'O, I haven't worn Paris 1948 for a while - you've spurred me on.

PiaM - ooh, that's a bit much!

Floof - just unwanted clothes, kid's stuff, perfume blunders and household bricabrac. I try and keep a small credit balance to plunder for eBay perfume purchases. As you say it's dead. But, that does also mean their are some outrageous bargains to be had too -if we could afford them-.

MrsMacNally · 17/01/2018 19:51

*there even. Blush I can't find my glasses...

mrsreynolds · 17/01/2018 20:15

Hi all
Hope mrjudys interview went well?
Yesterday was PP cinnabar
Today was 4610 sexiest scent
Got a sample of eau my soul...hmmm. not too keen. Also happy to send shazam! (Lovely but I know I won't wear it)
Anyone fancy it?
Happy to post next week after pay day 😁

Calmwhoknows · 17/01/2018 21:50

MrsMac, yes, looking forward to comparing notes on the ELDOs!

mrsreynolds, you’re the first person I’ve known not to rave about Eau My Soul. I was beginning to feel I was the only one! I found it very pleasant, but nothing special, and very short-lived. I still have half the sample left and have put it away to try again another time. It possibly needs different weather, or a different mood, who knows?

Judydreamsofhorses · 17/01/2018 22:21

SOTD is Heeley Cardinal for a properly freezing day.

Thank you for all the interview good wishes. His gut feeling is no, but we should hear at the end of this week/beginning of next.

mrsreynolds · 17/01/2018 22:35

As you say, eau my soul is ok. It's not unpleasant, but nothing to write home about - Which is a bit disappointing as the notes are right up my street!

Maybe i just had such a positive reaction to sexiest scent that I'm currently nose blind 😁

Shazam! Is lovely and a true oriental but - for me - it doesn't compare to my beloved cinnabar/opium/obsession

mrsreynolds · 17/01/2018 22:36

Calm...im finding sexiest scent rather fleeting too tbh...

Judy 🤞

MrsMacNally · 17/01/2018 23:39

SotD is Coromandel, again. Perfect and still going after 14 hours...

mrsreynolds · 18/01/2018 09:08

Coromandel sounds lovely

BluebellGal · 18/01/2018 09:32

Fingers crossed Judy

SOTD is 4160 Sexiest Scent on the Planet- what a name! This isn’t what I thought the sexiest scent would smell like but I like it!

mrsreynolds · 18/01/2018 10:26

Sotd sexiest scent
My sample is gone so got to crack open the 9ml 😁

mrsreynolds · 18/01/2018 13:49

I agree that the name isn't great bluebell 😁
4610 do love their quirky names though 🤔
I like the way the goods are packaged and the hand written notes

CheapTarnishedGlitter · 18/01/2018 19:31

It was when a 4160s note said "thanks for your latest order" that I worried about my habit!! Agree on EMS - nice but I thought it would be amazing and eat up all of my money. Relieved to be wrong.

SotD was Guerlain AA Bergamote Calabria. Lovely and fresh.

Bloom Violet pack came today (or, at least, was collected from delivery office today!). Very excited to get stuck in so Fridays may have to be Violetdays for a while so I can combined sampling with a nod to the much missed Advent Calendar.

Speaking of which... I've been thinking that 5 months of the Feel Unique pick and mix at 3.95 a pop would result in a lovely Advent Calendar for 2018 for less than £20. Feeling very tempted...

MrsMacNally · 18/01/2018 20:34

Cheap...impressed by your strategic thinking/forward planning. Smile

I really like EMS (had to think for a bit about that acronym) and also Parallel - an unusual medicinal frankincense oriental.

Big day today at work so more Coromandel (not sure this is entirely office appropriate but it is rapidly becoming my scent of choice when I need to try and summon up 'grown-up me at height of my powers'). All went swimmingly; could easily convince myself this stuff has magical properties.

Judydreamsofhorses · 18/01/2018 20:37

SOTD is MMM Fireplace. I have £30 of Boots vouchers and fancy something new (I can add cash to make up the balance) but not sure what. I hate this time of year and want zingy and springy, but really I need cosy. January truly is a rubbish month.

MrsMacNally · 18/01/2018 23:12

Have been fantasy shopping with your Boots vouchers Judy Blush. There's a half price SJP set: 4 x 10mls including Stash? Or a couple of the Mugler gift sets look good - at least a third off Aura and Angel Muse. Or, instore only, The Library of Fragrance are all down to a fiver. Would be fun choosing six to layer Smile. Think I'd go for sunshine, rain, amber, bonfire, grass, orange blossom...

mrsreynolds · 19/01/2018 08:00

Boots have lots of half price fragrance sets today judy 😁

Sotd....hmm. something warm. Prob knowing
