Does anyone fancy a thread to discuss the products as we open the drawers? Quite a few people seem to have it this year from what I've seen on here.

Very pleased with today’s. I love aromatherapy associates. First full-size, I believe.

caggie09 · 08/12/2017 07:07

Going to take it to work and stick it on my wrists in the afternoon to give me that boost of energy🏃🏼‍♀️ Happy with this.

Pomegranatepompom · 08/12/2017 07:32

I'm also happy to try this and like the fragrance.

Alwayslasttoarrive · 08/12/2017 07:37

Definitely a step in the right direction today. More like what I was expecting from this calendar- something different that I wouldn’t have actively sought out myself. A treat. Anyone got any idea where we are up to value wise now?

cedoren · 08/12/2017 08:11

Sorry to be the negative one, but today's is even worse in my opinion!! What's the point of it?!

chloechloe · 08/12/2017 09:45

I would be pleased with this had I not already got one that I only opened this week! Time to start slapping it on daily so they both get used!

terriers you should definitely complain about the leaky hair mask. Just say that you obviously haven't opened the later drawers yet and that you'll let them know in due course if there is an issue with anything else.

MathsFiend · 08/12/2017 09:51

Hmmm, think today’s is a bit rubbish. What is the point of it? Does it replace your perfume?

BluebellGal · 08/12/2017 11:17

Can’t see the point of today’s offering - I can’t smell it unless I sniff deeply

I am an avid perfumista so I would rather wake up with some Tuberose or a nice Chypre

Will give to MIL for Xmas as she is an aromatherapist

UpEarly · 08/12/2017 12:21

Today’s made me laugh. It’s pretty and it does smell nice, but doesn’t last when it’s on the skin and no one else can smell it! But at least now I know that things like this exist. I think DSD will like it, so she can have it!

bellabelly · 08/12/2017 13:35

First time I've treated myself so didn't know what to expect. Best one so far is definitely the weird grey cleansing powder - it's amazing! Shame I tipped half of it down sink as it comes out with such a rush. Not dead keen on the lipstick, it's a nude colour and doesn't show up on me at all. Surprised by the plain-ness of yesterday's offering but telling myself it's probably an insider beauty secret and all the top models swear by it. I NEED a moisturiser one soon - I've run out and am buggered if I'm going to go out and buy one cos there's probably one in the calendar somewhere!

Love reading all your comments by the way!

Stitchosaurus · 08/12/2017 14:09

Today's was decidedly meh. It's ok but I really had to rub it all over myself to be able to smell it! Like the idea of taking it to work for a boost tho, will do that.

Anyone else who got the calendar last year remember we got sodding toothpaste one day?! Now that was proper shit! Nothing as bad as that this year...so far!

Buxbaum · 08/12/2017 14:51

Caroline Hirons was using the Omorovicza cleanser as a mask on her insta stories earlier. Might try that tonight.

Piccolino2 · 08/12/2017 15:40

I actually really liked yesterday’s but today I’m totally meh. I couldn’t get much to come out and it does seem a bit pointless. Probably something that will linger in a drawer until it gets old and I throw it out although will try to make a point of using it - maybe if I keep it in the car....

Pippin8 · 08/12/2017 20:39

I’m not impressed today either, just chucked it in the bathroom cabinet. Hope this calendar starts to redeem itself soon.

BluebellGal · 08/12/2017 20:55

Hmmm not overly impressed so far. The M&S calendar sounds better than ours so far. The lipstick could have been good, but the shade just isn’t very flattering.

I agree, the superfoliant is the best thing so far. The Omorovicza cleanser is pretty good. I just can’t get excited about anything other than these two products and it’s day 9 tomorrow Hmm My nails are looking a bit better after religiously applying the Margaret Dabbs stuff twice daily (but could a normal hand moisturiser do the same job?).

BluebellGal · 08/12/2017 20:59

Oh I forgot the hair mask- that did make a positive difference to my hair and scalp. Can see myself using it on a regular basis even though it is a bit faffy

caggie09 · 08/12/2017 21:01

Used that oil stuff twice today, once before work and tonight after a shower. Its shit. Cant smell it and no benefit to me. If i can take that little ball thing out ill use in the bath. Otherwise ill hoard it for a year then bin it! I was happy when i first seem it, but after using it, its pointless!!

friendlyflicka · 08/12/2017 21:03

I love this calendar. My sister bought it for me. She bought it for my last year as well. I am having an absolutely awful time at the moment for various serious reasons, and it is just lovely opening the drawer and feeling so ab-fab for 5 minutes. Don't love all the individual products. Only one I dislike is the nail cream one. But I love the overall effect of pampering in my very shit life...

It would need more than M&S to do that for me at the moment.

LavenderHills · 08/12/2017 21:04

I have a smug tale to tell Wink

I'm on a Christmas Market road trip through Bavaria with DP at the moment, and we spent the morning at some beautiful thermal baths. I decided to make the most out of all the shower faffing that German baths entail, so I showered and wet my hair, massaged the hair mud mask into my scalp, and scraped it all into a topknot so as not to contaminate the lovely hot spring water. I then spent a BLISSFUL 90 mins soaking in a variety of hot pools with massage jets etc, got out and washed my hair and dried it with a masterpiece of German hairdryer engineering. My hair feels supernaturally silky I'd look like a freaking supermodel if it weren't for the wind rash on my cheeks. I guess a girl can't have everything. Grin

BluebellGal · 08/12/2017 21:11

Oh my gosh I’m so jealous Lavendar hot springs and Christmas markets?! You lucky thing! Yes the hair mud is fab and sounds like you made the most of the spa experience Smile

friendly flicka can totally understand that- fingers crossed that the next year is better and sounds like you have a lovely thoughtful sister

friendlyflicka · 08/12/2017 21:31

BluebellGal Thanks so much. And I do have a complete wonder of a sister

Dozyoldtwonk · 08/12/2017 21:36

The wee card was missing from my drawer today! Not great of Liberty to be honest. I can put two and two together about what the product is but could someone post an image of the card text? Smile

peanutbutter310 · 08/12/2017 22:02

I'm not so impressed with today's offering. The others so far at least fit into my existing routines, but can see this languishing at the back of the drawer.

@cedoren I thought that my card was missing on day 6, but DH managed to extract it from the roof of the cube. No idea how it managed to get stuck up there but worth double checking.

peanutbutter310 · 08/12/2017 22:03

Sorry, @Dozyoldtwonk on that last post!

chloechloe · 08/12/2017 22:13

Which baths were you at lavender? I live in Bavaria so am curious! Make sure you eat your weight in delicious Lebkuchen gingerbread whilst here!

I've already thrown my card away peanut so can't help I'm
afraid.
