Does anyone fancy a thread to discuss the products as we open the drawers? Quite a few people seem to have it this year from what I've seen on here.

^ tiny not Tony!

UpEarly · 02/12/2017 10:05

I love both days! But I have questions:

Should I blow dry after using the volumisimg tonic, or leave to dry naturally? And should my face be wet before applying the superfoliant paste? I used it in the shower this morning so everything was wet. My skin’s now lovely and smooth so something’s definitely worked!

LavenderHills · 02/12/2017 11:53

@UpEarly I don't think it matters if your face is wet, as long as your hands have enough water on them to activate the product.

combatbarbie · 02/12/2017 12:25

Ordered mine on 11 Nov and still not arrived, it has been lost between despatch and Royal Mail..... instead of just saying no problem, we'll send a replacement I had to ask them too... now got tracking for 4 Dec

ABuckToothedGirlinLuxembourg · 02/12/2017 12:55

I use the microfoliant, so I’m pleased to try out the superfoliant. Although I tipped loads out onto my hand this morning. Won’t be doing that again. That stuff spreads!

Stitchosaurus · 02/12/2017 13:00

Just used the volumising tonic - I did blow dry. Used it on the front of my hair to lift it off my face, impressed so far, will see how it looks after a full day.

Ah so the dermalogica thingy is slightly different to last year's then...I used last year's this morning, going to use that up first before moving onto the new one. Already impatient to find out what we've got tomorrow!

onemouseplace · 02/12/2017 13:59

BuckTooth - I did exactly the same thing just now with the superfoliant - it comes out quickly folks!

chloechloe · 02/12/2017 14:09

It's been years since I used Microfoliant so I will be interested to see what this does.

It seems like a fair few bloggers have the calendar. I wonder who got them for free....

Pippin8 · 02/12/2017 15:12

Just to say in my sleepy haze I opened the wrong box yesterday! So I should’ve got the hair stuff. I have opened the correct box today & am happy, I love the microfoliant.
Although I did get it in last years look fantastic calendar too.

cedoren · 02/12/2017 16:16

I don't think the hair product is that great to be honest. I wouldn't buy it in its own right

UpEarly · 02/12/2017 17:58

My hair is definitely bigger than normal!! But I’ve got v thick hair so it doesn’t need much encouragement Grin

GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 02/12/2017 18:45

I opened 1&2 today! Bored by the aveda product but I loved the dermalogica. I used to be a Microfoliant addict.

Dozyoldtwonk · 02/12/2017 20:49

I really liked today’s offering. I was in the market for a new exfoliant so rather pleased. I usually use Clinique 7-day scrub so will give this little pot a whirl and repurchase if I see strong results. So far, so good - nice soft face Smile

chloechloe · 03/12/2017 06:57

Oohhhh day 3 is the best so far. I do love Hourglass but have only used their face powders and blushers. I have a different shade though - Peacemaker - a browny nude. Am tempted to try it straight away but I have a couple of Clinique chubby sticks I should use first.

caggie09 · 03/12/2017 07:10

Very happy with day three! I will wearing this today. Its a shade id normal go for too. Grin

Stitchosaurus · 03/12/2017 08:44

I have peacemaker too. I've never had a brownish lippie before and wasn't sure when I first saw it but I actually quite like it on. And I love these 'crayon' type ones, so easy to just whack on!

chloechloe · 03/12/2017 08:56

What colour is the one advertised?

I like the crayons too - I tend to keep them in my coat pocket as you can slap them on whilst on the run without a mirror!

HLBug · 03/12/2017 08:59

Yup, also happy with today Smile Really good to keep in handbag for touching up.

I really like the little accompanying cards in the boxes this year - I’ve been reading them first then trying to guess what the product might look like.

BluebellGal · 03/12/2017 09:25

I like the hourglass lip stylo too - my shade is ‘girl’. It’s very moisturising.

Would never buy this shade (quite a brown nude) but I like it on.

How the do apply ? Using the tip? It’s very fine at the tip

BluebellGal · 03/12/2017 09:55

Doh girl is the name of the product, my lip shade is also peacemaker. I’m glad I didn’t get influencer as the shade looks too brown for me

onemouseplace · 03/12/2017 09:56

I've got peacemaker as well - does it come out more brown than nude when on? My instinct is that it will be a bit too dark for me.

BluebellGal · 03/12/2017 10:01

So far the value of the products is
1 £8 travel size Aveda volumising tonic
2 £17 travel size superfoliant
3 £15 (1.5g Sample hourglass lip stylo- full size is 2.5g)

= £40

Pomegranatepompom · 03/12/2017 10:11

Not sure this shade will work for me, I'll probably pass on.
I used last years dermalogica product and it's really good, face definitely felt smoother !

LavenderHills · 03/12/2017 10:32

I got the Influencer shade and like it. It'll be a nice, subtle lipstick option for work.

LavenderHills · 03/12/2017 10:36

Thanks for the running tally, @BluebellGal! I'm interested in figuring out the final value of the calendar and you're making it easy Smile
