The Gap black sequinned pencil skirt has arrived. It's fab but HUGE! I've had to take it in 4" and I ordered a size S . Now it's a great fit. Very "pencilly", about 2" below the knee and looks foxy with my Whistles stiletto pointy courts and a fitted top. Love it!

And Serenite you didn't sound smug at all....your DH is lovely and we all love stuff like that..

Dry please relink the skirt. I was thinking about ordering it before, but now can't find it. what length is it on you please? & what size did you order.

went to westfield with the dc. It was hell. Won't be doing that again in a hurry! bought these huge queues so bought them and tried on in uniqlo they were ridiculously small even in size 40. Had to take them back. I would really like some stretchy cord or velvet jeans or thick leggings

this top but not tried it on yet. its mmf but for the price I don't mind.

Dream it has disappeared! I ordered the small.....I'm 5.3" and it's about 2" below my knee. Hope you find one, size down though its BIG

Fairly quiet day here today just doing boring stuff. Have watched Strictly and thought I'd have a quick catch up whilst I polish off the last of the wine.

The best eye cream I've used this year is this Skyn from M&S. Currently using Clarins which is ok too but not as nice.

Love your scarf Shop; I also bought the large checked scarf but just felt swamped in it so gave to my niece who loves it.

Justa I hope the striped top is a keeper. I can picture it suiting yu vey well & it's a bargain price. Also love the burgundy coat. I agree Westfield is hell especially with dc. When I go I try to get there at opening time befor the crowds build up.

I'm going to town to watch DIL perform this afternoon but have no idea what to wear. Possible outfit is the sparkly trousers with a black cashmere jumper and my John Lewis black brogue boots. Boring but comfortable for the long tube journey.

Marsha I don't do this often but totally pmsl at your question you know what happens when my DH goes off piste for presents VW bag disaster I give him a list or go on about my dream watch for years , or tell DD and she organises him.

Just having my favourite weekend lunch:
Toasted seeded brown bread with mashed avocado, sliced tomato, smoked salmon, poached eggs.....lots of black pepper, earl grey tea. HEaven. After a decent cheese board with oat cakes this must be my fav dish ever.

DH isn’t good at going off piste. I usually put loads on there so he can choose a few bits to surprise me. One year I got lucky and he bought me the whole lot.

Marsha I always give DH a list - top tip, send a list by email with links with as many links as possible from the same website (Selfridges/JL etc). Makes buying more off the list much easier if they only have to get the credit card out once
