Wee update!
My very ddh arrived home with my beautiful new coat from massimo dutti and hidden inside the bag was a Gucci bag.... with the black and gold double g belt in it for a surprise 💗
Now I feel I've got a boost and great incentive to crack on and get this half stone I've been loosing/gaining since the summer off so I can wear tucked in jeans!!
I was very surprised, he's a wee dote (and he had to go to two stores to get it)

I am feeling sorry for myself and very sore as i had dental work done yesterday under sedation. I dont remember a thing about it but i am sore now. As part of the pre treatment, they weighed me and it turns out i've lost 16lbs since the last time i was weighed which was a surprise. we've been making an effort to eat well but since we've no scales here, i didn't realise i'd lost any proper weight. I did wonder but now i know! Id put all the weight id lost back on and more because ive had so many doses of steroids so hopefully that tide is turning now

The show last night was brilliant. It was Vincent and Flavia from strictly. But unfortunately Vincent was injured so not there. Brilliant show, amazing dancers, singers and musicians. For Strictly fans I sat two seats away from Robin W.
I wore Joseph leather skinnies with Acne Jensen’s, a red Iris & Ink Breton and black silk skinny scarf. I feel lousy again this morning but it was so good to leave the house!

I am just off to order the Barry m thing! In case anyone is interested I've been using the niod copper amino isolate serum along with the ha mmc which are both raved about. Initially I thought they weren't doing much as you don't get any visible immediate results, but now about 5 weeks in my skin is much clearer , no spots and looks more even toned. Just better in general. I've been combining it with some of the ordinary products too. Hope they have it in a black Friday deal as it's pricier than the ordinary.

Re reading my text last night, I'm a bit 🙄🤔🙄 think it came off as smug but I was excited in the moment. I'm wearing the belt with a 25 year old cord midi skirt and a 4 quid top from Matalan, I'm not all about the designer stuff at all but thanks for the nice comments.
One congratulations on that weight loss, it's always equally about health as well as looking good. Hope you are over the trauma of the dentist.

Justa I've used niod too and always loved the results. I'm going to pick up the Barry m corrector, anything that might help disguise under eyes I can't resist. I think I got a great value bundle from niod last Black Friday so it's worth being signed up for their newsletter.

thanks for the sympathies, I am sore but since i literally remember nothing of the procedure, i feel okay. Fear of the dentist is really no fun

Today I'm wearing my belt, with grey wool J crew cropped trousers, red boots, navy Gap merino crew neck and pearl studs (and navy J crew pea coat and red pashmina).

One well done, you always seem to lose weight without noticing (the best way imo, so you aren't stressing about it).

I am so pleased with my Jensens - and they also mean I am wearing my Joseph leather skinnies more than last year which feels good. I’ve just ordered a wool check oversized scarf from Massimo dutti to replace the blanket scarf that Dry and I bought a few years back.

Landscaping work continues here, the outbuilding has gone and new patio and lawn areas are being laid. Really exciting how much more space it gives us. —shame about the builders constant swearing when miniShop is off though—

Hello! Just seen this thread as am wondering what on earth I wore last winter . Everything I own seems to be a shade of dark blue. I do however live near a dog walk route that goes past a lovely cashmere shop here and am tempted by a sequinned beanie hat but the scarves are gorgeous and good mens ones too for xmas.

Those uniqlo leggings/trousers on Mumsnet swears by, do they come up true to size? The reviews also say they are long. How long are they as I am 23in inside leg so a decent length would be awesome.

Violet hello and welcome, loved the grey scarf in your link. Can't really comment on Uniqlo trousers/leggings. Had a pair of trousers which were not a great fit on me, too baggy, and I wear a pair of joggers around the house but wouldn't wear them outside the house.

blair i haven't noticed the weight loss because we have no scales! I'd definitely gained again, everything id lost plus more as ive had a lot of treatment with steroids in the past couple of years but as i'm now coming off certain medicines, it seems to be following that my weight is coming down as well. I'm pretty sure i'll never be as slim as i used to be but just losing some of it and keeping it off will be a good thing!!!

Welcome Violet. Missed your post. Sorry. I have no experience of trousers from Uniqlo I'm afraid. Do they not have measurements on the page. I normally compare those to a pair that fit me well.

On this rainy day, this is the Céline that I saw and loved. So pretty and looks great with navy, red, camel. Really pretty and delicate. Am dropping hints

The Massimo scarf arrived so quickly. When I first opened the box I thought it was too lightweight but actually it sits beautifully and is nice and warm. Really pleased.
