Thanks so much everyone, I’m really enjoying having a newborn baby to cuddle

Blingy looking forward to the whole style thing!

Lovely to read your lovely words Flowers

shopafrolic · 02/01/2018 18:40

God that's hideous Blingy
I need help Voguettes. I think I have found my dress here. The large is too big but I think I have found it in a medium. It is black with silver. I need help to find clutch and shoes..... I'm thinking a silver clutch and black shoe boots maybe? Any ideas? DH isn't giving me a budget. Hmm But I reckon £200 max per item? Not sure what he'll go for.......

So far I'm loving Jimmy Choo Milla
Michael Kors Barbara
Another MK one which I don't want to link as it's on sale - is it too much to have MK dress and bag?

MarshaBradyo · 02/01/2018 19:04

Oh fabulous. The Milla just edges it for me

shopafrolic · 02/01/2018 19:14

Not sure if DH will be persuaded. Will have to see.... what shoes then? I’ll have to wear tights - we’re on a boat.

MarshaBradyo · 02/01/2018 19:18

Remind me do you have any black heels?

shopafrolic · 02/01/2018 19:21

My shoe board Heels are nearer the bottom. I have The Pour la Victoire plain black courts - they’re a little wide but ok.....

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 02/01/2018 19:24

They also stand me very tall over DH..... Grin

MarshaBradyo · 02/01/2018 19:24

Oh you have quite a lot of shoes Grin

The trick is making a new pair worthwhile but I agree black is the way to go

MarshaBradyo · 02/01/2018 19:24

Would the Karen be bad?

MarshaBradyo · 02/01/2018 19:27

Perhaps a lower ankle would be better. Shame the heel is gold Valentino

But how about the shape?

kittyhello · 02/01/2018 19:30

Marsha what fantastic news and such a wonderful way to start the new year. Many congratulations to you and your family.

Will do a round up later, have made some purchases Shock

shopafrolic · 02/01/2018 19:30

If they were the same height inside and out and a silver heel yes. I had thought a shoe boot. The dress is quite a thick fabric. Maybe I can go high street shoe and get the clutch. Do you think suede or leather?

MarshaBradyo · 02/01/2018 19:33

Thanks Kitty! Looking forward to links

I would be tempted to get one perfect thing you love and go high st in shoes. Especially if black and lots of people, they won’t be noticed as much. Also somewhere like Kurt Geiger should have a big sale

That’s a hard question, I’m leaning towards suede

shopafrolic · 02/01/2018 20:00

Am wondering about LKB Florets in black suede...... would definitely wear again.

shopafrolic · 02/01/2018 20:53

They’re nice Marsha I’m looking at some of their shoe boots too

Shop, looking at your Pinterest board, i actually think that there are a few possibilities. If i was going with black, I would either look at the Karen shoe boots (actually quite sexy with a mini dress) or with the Cristina lace up shoes. Those shoes are fantastic party shoes and good whatever the season.

The other option actually would be to add a splash of colour on the feet, something i learned from Sleep. So i would look at red shoes. Here I would either look at the Milla suede or i would look at the LKB red ones, also labelled Cristina.

I think you have great choices, so would maybe look those first, and maybe spend the extra on the bag. E.g. if you went with the black shoe boots, then i would get the Jimmy Choo clutch which is so awesome, I feel like buying it even though i have no where to go.Grin

shopafrolic · 02/01/2018 22:15

Thanks Blingy - will definitely revisit what I own but my black suede shoes and boots are looking tatty now.
TBF I could get away with trainers if I had the clutch Grin

Bit late, but thinking about the few things I bought last year.....heroes are this bag has added new colour options, have used it all autumn with my berry coloured coat and my navy too. Great CPW

Longislandicetee · 02/01/2018 22:30

Totally true, it's a gorgeous clutch. Best not tell MrShop that though!!

As I was at home today, the one click finger got some shopping action...!

Chubbettes - bought for dsil and really fancied it for myself.

Thinking ahead to summer holidays with this Ted Baker cotton dress

And thinking of SS18 with another Ted Baker dress. Hopefully it's not too short!

And finally, another pre-loved bag. This time Gucci Jackie in the beige. Which I already own in 2 other versions.BlushGrin

DryWhiteagainW · 02/01/2018 22:32

And my multi coloured Floral Whistles fitted shift dress from Spring/summer....wore it loads with many different accessories (and to MU).

Can someone tell me whupy I’m unable to link past season clothes from my pin boards?

Everyonelovessparkles · 03/01/2018 10:37

You do have some nice shoes shop. As blingy mentioned the Christina dune ones look nice. If you wanted a colour what about hot pink? The jimmy choo clutch is lovely, would you use it on other nights out as well (if you need to convince your DH that you need it Grin).

My cashmere joggers have arrived. They are the softest most comfortable thing I have ever worn! It’s like being enveloped in the cosiest blanket. Would definitely recommend them as Cosy lounge wear if any one else is considering them.

Nice TB dresses blingy. Always nice to plan for sunnier times when the weather is miserable. It’s not too grey here today, just very windy.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 03/01/2018 12:21

well, i have trawlled the online sales and the only thing i have bought is some perfume and a Too Faced matte eyeshadow pallete. haven't seen any clothes i like the look of and truth told, i'm a bit wary of buying anything as i already have a lot of dresses that need taking in at the waist so i don't want to keep adding to the pile! plus i have my big holiday to pay for, we fly at the end of May and i want to have plenty of spending money to enjoy myself properly with!
