Gorgeous gorgeous bag Marsha just beautiful.
Blingy LOL at size 6 - I remember last year well. If it makes you feel any better everything from my DM was a size 14!
We’ve arrived in Norfolk. Foul weather and no fashion news to report other than I wore my Rockins scarf Smile

Oh and M. I’d politely negotiate the bigger face x

Wow, such gorgeous presents all round.

Perfect, perfect bag for you Marsha. Do try to exchange the watch.

Topaz it's lovely to have you back. Have you been to Dublin recently?

libertyonhertravels · 27/12/2017 18:03

blingy Grin at your MIL!! She's just jealous babe and can't get her head around the unfairness of you being both boobalicious and a size 6. Use the oversized cashmere as lounge wear???

AmberNectarine · 27/12/2017 19:20

In fairness to your MIL Blingy I usually buy my cashmere in a 10 or 12 because I like it roomy and snugly. However, if you've expressed your preference that's a different matter altogether!

I was very lucky - Anine Bing boots, Jimmy Choo heels, Tiffany, Alex Monroe and Monica Vinader jewellery, plenty of cashmere, YSL perfume, Jo Malone bath oil and Diptytue candles. And all this after my birthday haul last week! Spoilt brat!

DPs got DS an Xbox so haven't seen much of him or DH! DS's birthday on Saturday too - plenty of Christmas babies in our house!

Might brave the sales tomorrow if I can be bothered - have already ordered a cashmere hoody and cashmere Burberry scarf in the sales, plus a Rixo blouse (which I paid £12 Premier delivery for and still hasn't materialised NAP!) so don't need much in all honesty!

Hope you've all been having a lovely festive break x

Longislandicetee · 27/12/2017 20:58

Great idea to use the sweater for loungewear Lib! This is the cashmere sweater. I really like it and looked st getting either this one or something exactly like it a few weeks ago.

Sounds like a great set of presents Amber.

This is the blingy bracelet that dpils also got me with the matching earrings. I really like them.

Everyonelovessparkles · 27/12/2017 21:19

Great presents everyone. I got 3 bottles of gin from DH GrinGin

Have ordered the cashmere joggers from the white company as linked by blingy and recommend by mara. Also ordered this star jumper. Ordered a large as didn’t want it too fitted and given your comments on cashmere, it’s probably just as well!

DryWhiteagainW · 28/12/2017 10:44

Oh Everyone I got gin too....Monkey 47 and Ophir.
I will link a book for any gin lovers, a light read full of geeky gin stuff, I'm enjoying it a lot

DryWhiteagainW · 28/12/2017 10:46

book

Longislandicetee · 28/12/2017 15:30

Hello Voguettes! I am having such a wonderful lazy day, have only just showered and now doing hair mask. Will slip into my snuggly cashmere hoodie and joggers after this. My neighbours are all getting together but I sooooo don't feel like it.

Everyone and Dry I just don't know enough about gin so dh would get this face Xmas Hmm if I got gin for Christmas.Xmas Blush

Has anyone bought anything in the sales? After my mammoth Christmas shop I just don't feel like it. Dh's year end bonus has just arrived and I can't even be bothered to help him spend it - that's how much Christmas has taken out of me Xmas Shock

Hope you're all having relaxing days too!

Longislandicetee · 28/12/2017 15:46

Ooh I just thought of a question though to show my gin ignorance cos I actually want to be cool like you two. Why the cucumbers? please don't laugh

shopafrolic · 28/12/2017 16:17

I only put cucumber in Hendricks gin Blingy - it brings out the flavour but other gins taste better with lemon, lime, orange or even rosemary.
We went into Norwich today for a look around but there was not much I needed. It made me smile. In the old days I would have bought stuff because it was on sale. Now I’m thinking “do I love it? Do I need it? Is it MMF?” Etc etc.
I did pick up a beautiful charcoal sweater in Jigsaw which I love and will wear loads. And a coat for miniShop
Heading back home tomorrow.

Topaz I meant to tell you I had bookmarked those Teym sweaters after seeing them on the Parisienne thread - great minds

Ha ha shop. Lovely sweater.

That book looks interesting dry. Could be a useful present idea for one or two people I know.

Lib I was in Dublin a couple of weeks ago. It was lovely to see everyone, but bitter-sweet seeing DF. He is in a residential unit of the local hospital (you’ll know) where he is being cared for very well. He is content, which is the most important thing and my DM is so much less stressed. There is a lot to be thankful for.

I wore my new boots around the house today, although they don’t seem to need breaking in. The only struggle is getting them on and off, but that should ease in time. Was it marsha who had a struggle with a pair of riding boots?

Has anyone else found a source of belts with nickel-free buckles? I get an allergic reaction if belt buckles touch my skin, but I like to wear belts with jeans (as I think it helps protect the fabric of my tops interacting with jeans buttons - which may or may not cause those tiny holes - a whole other story, I know!) I don’t always want to tuck tops in. I have ordered a belt from amazon, which works, but there was not much choice in design etc. Since so many people can’t wear jewellery containing nickel, I am surprised it is not more of an issue with belt buckles.

shopafrolic · 28/12/2017 17:42

Topaz I have the same issue with belts. I now have two Isabel Marant ones from The Outnet and NaP which I have no problems with. More ££ but good CPW.
Elliot Rhodes have also helped me in store in the past.

I don't drink gin - was the first drink I ever got properly drunk on when I was a teenager and still can't face it!

Went to the sales today. Bought only this coat in Selfridges. Already have the red which I have worn loads this season, so this was a no brainer. Absolutely adore it! Nothing else tickled my fancy, though I didn't dare venture onto the shoe floor, having acquired Choos, rockstuds, Louboutins and Anine Bing boots in the last month!

shopafrolic · 28/12/2017 20:26

That is a fab coat Amber was it a good discount?

libertyonhertravels · 28/12/2017 20:47

topaz my family have had only excellent experience with that hospital and with the residential/nursing part. Very caring culture in the organisation IMO. Very glad to hear things are easier for your mum.

libertyonhertravels · 28/12/2017 20:49

And thanks for linking the 'to universe' blog. I hadn't come across it before and I am really enjoying it.

Everyonelovessparkles · 29/12/2017 09:09

Lovely coat amber, you will look great in that colour.

Glad your DM and DF are settled topaz, being away from elderly relatives can be difficult.

Any success with the new dress for the party shop? That was great news about the scarf and glad you are wearing it already - always a good sign about a new purchase!

I’m not a gin connoisseur either, I just like it Grin. i find that I don’t feel as bloated when I drink g&t compared to wine / prosecco and (at home) I’m content with one g&t whereas if I open a bottle of wine I’m always topping myself up!

Got friends coming over for drinks and nibbles tomorrow afternoon, might wear my rainbow dress as it’s pretty casual. Then got 20 coming over on NYE Shock. Think I’ll wear this black and gold drrss

Longislandicetee · 29/12/2017 09:38

Morning Voguettes! What a miserable day outside! Everyone I absolutely love that dress, really gorgeous!

Surprisingly, the hardest working item in my wardrobe this week has been my leather leggings. I wore them on Christmas Day with a Ted Baker asymmetric sparkly fine knit top, then wore them again on Boxing Day with a J crew star burst top then the following day with a Michael Kors embellished cashmere sweater then finally last night i went to a party in my neighbours home and wore them with this Saint Laurent cashmere breton. I haven't worn them that much since I got them so i feel that i have massively decreased the cost per wear - I am going to retire them for a couple of days and then wear them again on New Year's Eve.Grin

Another restful day at home today. Yesterday i did "exciting" things like sort out my email inbox, today it will be finances and the last of next year's holidays....I will probably be on mumsnet a lot.Grin

Oh and i need to get my Christmas carb laden arse to the gym...wish me luck.Xmas Hmm Have a lovely day.

AmberNectarine · 29/12/2017 09:56

Half price shop, so a pretty good bargain! This scarf just arrived, so soft and lovely.

Longislandicetee · 29/12/2017 10:18

Oh lovely Amber! I have the claret one (and the ubiquitous camel check one), I agree with you, so gorgeous. I can really see you in that lovely pink coat that you got too.

justasecond · 29/12/2017 14:13
