Everyone go for it, they sound so warm and comfy. I don’t have any yet

Lib gorgeous beach. NZ looks like it does them very well

shopafrolic · 16/12/2017 12:12

Morning party people!

How is everyone doing? Thanks for the dress links. I need to pull my finger out and sort something but drama with DPs and general Christmas stuff has got in the way somewhat.

I went to see Pete Tong at the O2 last night with the lovely Sleep and our hubbies. Amazing seats and such an awesome event. I have sore feet today from dancing like a loon. I wore the Equipment snake print silk fronted sweater which I definitely prefer to the check one I already owned. Today I am sporting the &OS glittery top whilst miniShop is in his Christmas jumper. He has two birthday parties this weekend so not much time to sort Christmas stuff. I'll be the one having a last minute panic on Monday before he finishes school.

Lib I am so pleased you are chilled and happy - I love hearing all about NZ.

Have a lovely weekend Voguettes. :)

Popping in quickly to say loving all the Christmas outfit planning. Dreading returning to the cold.
Have a great weekend MNV.

MarshaBradyo · 16/12/2017 14:23

Sounds ace Shop and Dream, you must be somewhere beautiful and warm

Question:
What is everyone’s favourite champagne?

Planning ahead and doing an ocado

FedupNagging · 16/12/2017 17:24

Oh Lib, I love your pic, looks heavenly

Cashmere lounge wear sounds (& looks) so cosy. Not for me though as my old yoga pants & hoodies lounge wear needs to be hard wearing - think food/wine spillages etc etc!

Marsha fave champers - depends who is buying Grin Moet so obvious is rather drinkable. More cost effective is Waitrose - had a crate in the summer and was pleasantly surprised. Have more for xmas & NYE.

Viva am assuming your red dress is the one with the knot - it's very nice; what footwear did you go with in the end?

I've struggled through the week with a cold and throat infection so really pleased to be in tonight for a change. Have a bottle of Chablis in the fridge and dh is cooking & SCD final. Whoop, whoop

what is everyone else up to?

FedupNagging · 16/12/2017 17:26

How did I miss this Glitterball ' I so would have added it to my post easily pleased

shopafrolic · 16/12/2017 19:28

Marsha I did my Ocado shop today. I went for Bollinger as I love it and it’s Christmas so we splashed our. Verve c was next on the list but Ocado also had a decent one reduced to around £25. Can’t remember the name now.....

We had Taittinger last year which was good and is on offer.....

I honestly don't know anything about champagne so couldn't pick a favourite really.

feeling quite blue and i don't really know why, just feel overwhelmed and stressed but can't pinpoint a reason. never mind, im sure it will pass soon enough Smile

shopafrolic · 16/12/2017 20:23

One you’ve broken your wrist. Be kind to yourself. All the fashion frivolity here to get you through.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 16/12/2017 20:34

thanks Shop i appreciate that, i appreciate you all here. I know i can be a bit absent sometimes but i'm always lurking somewhere even if i don't have much fashion to splash at the moment!!

libertyonhertravels · 16/12/2017 21:54

I don't have much fashion chat ATM one but always drop in. Christmas can be a tough time I think. Hope you feel better soon.

Marsha I don't know anything about champagne. I tend to stick to prosecco! T

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 16/12/2017 22:49

thanks Lib Smile

I'm almost off the medicine that's being stopped now, just a month ish to go and ill have completely stopped it and im already seeing my body shape changing just dropping the dose so hopefully i will finally start looking like i do in my head!! Its very hard when theres a huge disconnect between the way you look in your head and the way you....actually look!

AmberNectarine · 17/12/2017 09:36

My favourite Champagne is LP rose, but it's quite pricey so I save that just for me!

For larger gatherings I tend to get Piper Heidseck or Lanson.

MarshaBradyo · 17/12/2017 15:10

Thanks everyone, I had to check out before seeing your suggestions but I got one Pol Roger as it was on offer saving 1/3 off £43 and reviews seemed good, I hope it's nice!

But there will be more for a little gathering so I'll go for one of the good ones below.

VivaVegas · 17/12/2017 16:27

Pol Roger is very nice Marsha!

MarshaBradyo · 17/12/2017 16:45

Oh brilliant Viva you’ve made my day!

shopafrolic · 17/12/2017 17:57

Yup. Pol Roger good too.

AmberNectarine · 17/12/2017 19:25

Hopefully you'll have a very good reason for a toast soon Marsha!

Mixed bag of a week here. Some idiot has been ignoring symptoms and wound up in hospital with a peptic ulcer. Fail. On balance going on a 12pm-5am drinking spree was a misfire. In better news it's my birthday this week and DH is taking me shopping. Well done that man.

Today I wore a very fetching Primark knitted Mrs Claus dress to the panto to match DD's H&M equivalent. Made her life though, she kept pointing at the pair of us and saying 'twinnies!'

Now elegantly attired in leggings and a random wolf t shirt I got at Longleat. Don't say I don't provide inspiration.

Having a long overdue day to myself tomorrow and I can't wait. Will probably waste it on unsatisfying life admin like shredding old utility bills, but at least I can do that from my sofa.

AmberNectarine · 17/12/2017 19:26

Agree Pol Roger is lush. Not to be confused with Pol Remy, mind.

libertyonhertravels · 17/12/2017 21:35

Oh amber, that must be so sore. Hope you feel better for your birthday. Matching Xmas outfits with DD sounds hilarious.

shopafrolic · 17/12/2017 22:04

Bloody hell Amber
Your insta pic made me wince
Feel better soon.

Hello Voguettes!

Sorry have been awol for so long, at home today and was having a quick skim of the thread, Marsha you hooked me in with what's your favourite champagne!! Would have said either Ruinart, Pol Roger or Laurent Perrier in terms of buying in quantity, think you made a v good choice!

Hope you are all well, have missed you and the chat. I went back to work full time and had no time for anything, not there any more though, long story which will keep for a future mu.

Dry I always wish I had your job at this time of year, saw you dressed up on fb, looks so much fun!

Everyone white co does cashmere joggers, I seem to get codes from them constantly at the moment too. Bought a cashmere jumper there recently and quality is good.

One you broke your wrist? Ouch, broke mine when pregnant it was the worst. The doc snapped it back into place with local anaesthetic, will never forget that crunch Shock. Sympathies and hope it doesn't take too long to heal.

Lib love your beach pic, nice toes! Glad all is going so well, enjoy this special time.

I am loving the shops at the moment, floral prints, velvet and midi dresses are heaven for me if not my bank balance. Will link some shoe purchases now and the rest later.

Bought these suede/sock boots in nap sale, haven't arrived yet but think they will be good for Christmas parties, love the floating pearl.

Have been after long boots to wear with midi skirts since last year, finally got round to trying properly and although initially thinking that Stuart Weitzman wasn't for me I ended up with these knee high all suede from R&B. Didn't like the fabric of the 5050s and the thigh high ones not me but these are great.

shopafrolic · 18/12/2017 16:16

Mara - that's my Christmas made seeing you back on thread. OK well some presents would be good too but it is lush to have you back. LOVE those knee high boots.
I have big news. My DM who was robbed back at our summer MU has finally been given her money back by the bank. This has been a long standing fight with the bank and has caused DM and I so much stress. She and I both cried when we got the call today. Such a relief.
I bought this coatigan today for my DSIL in M&S. Tried it on to check the length and ended up buying one for myself too. Completely MMF but looked smart with skinnies and a polo neck.
I have finished my Christmas shopping. So relieved. miniShop has tomorrow morning at school and then finally breaks up. He had his Christmas party today. I asked him how it went and he said he sat outside and read a book as it was too noisy for him. He told me he was sad to miss out. I feel gutted for him. Seems silly to complain though......?

Great to see you mara! Thanks for the WC tip, will have a look. Great shoe links! Love the sparkley ones.

Ouch amber, hope you’re feeling better now and managed to have abit of an easy day.

That is great news shop about your DM and the money. Just a shame it took so long.....but at least it’s resolved before the end of the year.

Hope you’re feeling ok too one. That’s great news about the weight loss and medication reduction. Hope your wrist isn’t too sore.

DD finishes on Wednesday so I’ve still got s day and half to get organised....
