Sorry One I was rushing - will you have a plaster cast? You’ll have to stick tinsel and baubles on it! I hope it heals quickly and that you’re not in too much pain.
Things must be bad here - i’m doing the ironing to warm up!

No plaster cast, just heavy strapping, a plaster cast would leave me housebound as i wouldn't be able to use my second crutch so i cant have that two weeks before xmas. Its roughly six weeks for a wrist to heal. Ill just have to stay off it as much as i can! thanks for the sympathies though,t hey are appreciated!

BerniceBobsHerHair · 13/12/2017 10:09

Hello, had to save the thread from page 2 Shock

One I hope you are okay.

Just came on to link this dress for Shop. Sales seem to be starting too so hopefully you can get a bargain.

FedUp I have the M&S advent calendar too - I am enjoying the ritual of opening something new every day but don't feel wow about anything yet.

MarshaBradyo · 13/12/2017 18:53

Feeling good as I just bought dh’s Christmas present. Need to start on dcs. Just had a dc birthday here so always do that first.

How’s everyone going with the Christmas shopping?

Stokey · 13/12/2017 19:13

Badly Marsha I need a day to browse shops like The Works & Claire's Accessories to get stocking fillers. And Dd2 has asked for a funfair & swimming pool as Father Christmas can bring anything Hmm

Sorry, hi all 😁. Have been mainly wearing Hush starry dress over poloneck for going out & starry boots from last year.

Also have M&S calendar & finding it a little pedestrian. Perfume this morning had a distinct hint of radox & was hoping for more make-up.

DryWhiteagainW · 13/12/2017 20:37

Chriastmas shopoing Marsha has been slow and steady. I’m v excited about DHs pressie....an experience he’ll really enjoy. I need to get everything out to see what’s left to buy. I’m hoping to blitz stockings in one go......feeling anxious as and have guests for Christmas (4 days) New Year (4days) and the first weekend in January too Shock

This week m working Christmas fashion....think I’m making it look chic Hmm

Yesterday......black cigarette trousers, black slouchy sweater with sequinned Rudolph on.

Today...green Oden a-line mini (ish) dress with gold tinsel wrapped round me, fairy light necklace, topped with Christmas tree head band......loved this.

Tomorrow.......fairisle xmas jumper with red Robbin on front, black a-line mini, shoe boots, necklace made of red baubles, red Santa hat, black boots.

Haven’t sorted Fridays ensemble yet.......

Think I’ve surpassed myself this year Xmas Grin

shopafrolic · 13/12/2017 20:48

I’m panicking. School closed for two days, and today was lost to helping DPs with food shopping, picking up medicine for DF and sorting out tech issues for them. I lost the whole day. I am behind on present shopping. My only win today was I finally decorated the tree.

OP posts:
OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 13/12/2017 21:18

everything barring two presents is bought and wrapped! i wrapped dp's presents tonight as he's out at a friends. Oh wait, i lie, i'm waiting on one being delivered for dp, should have come today but it will hopefully arrive tomorrow. The last two things will be bought next week upon arrival up north!

I am rocking my bright green TMNT onesie right now as it is coooooooold. Trying to figure out easy to get in and out of outfits with the minimum of buttons and zips to take with us next week. I already get embarrassed enough having to ask for help to get dressed/undressed so trying to make it as easy as possible. Definitely need to get out my thermal tights as everyone is saying its really really cold up there.

Bravo dry! I agree, you have definitely surpassed yourself this year with your festive dressing Grin i look forward to hearing about it every year Smile

DryWhiteagainW · 13/12/2017 22:20

One I went to Primarni last week and bought one of each festive head dress/glasses they sell (9/10) will insist that Xmas guests choose and wear one! —I’ve reserved the head band with hanging sprig of mistletoe for myself thus ensuring a very lovely Xmas dayXmas Grin

Longislandicetee · 13/12/2017 23:09

Evening! Drinks and dinner 3rd night in a row. I can't eat and drink this much and survive December !!!Xmas Shock

VivaVegas · 13/12/2017 23:16

Evening!
Not been on in ages, trying to curb losing so much time to my phone. Must be working as Christmas pretty much sorted, just need to wrap stuff and as I have gift bags (so much quicker than paper) that will be done on Saturday.
Have had a few Christmas 'do's' so far, nice to get dressed up and socialise more than usual. Big work one this Friday so looking forward to that.
I have the M & S calendar as well, like having a little surprise every morning and enjoying it so far, hoping for some hair products as there has been a lot of skincare so far.
Recent purchases, bought this Whistles sweatshirt with the Black Friday 25% off which I've worn a lot already and this Stories red dress for the winter wedding I have. Not sure what I'm going to do with shoes and legs yet but fab colour for me and wont just hang in the wardrobe after.
And these cheap and cheerful sock boots which I've worn loads, very useful.
Right, quick browse of the Whistles sale then off to bed!

MarshaBradyo · 14/12/2017 09:37

Viva love the sweater, the link to the dresses takes me to all dresses, but I'm sure it's fab

I can't do over the knee boots unless I wear a midi, I don't wear enough midis but these S Weitzman boots look good

Good price on Lanvin flat if you have small feet

Same with Rag & Bone boots

MarshaBradyo · 14/12/2017 09:40

For QueenC GR flats

MarshaBradyo · 14/12/2017 09:42

I love all the excitement. Dry I'm really excited about dh's present this year, I think he'll love it - and so will I. So happiness all round one hopes!

Shop is school open again?

Everyonelovessparkles · 14/12/2017 10:18

Love the Xmas outfits dry! Very imaginative!

Those GR shoes are nice marsha.

Viva well done on reducing phone time, I think I need to do that in the new year and then I should have time to start my exercise regime again. Nice sweatshirt but dobt wear it with shop as she was niggled by the spelling of ‘parisien’. GrinGrin

blingy sounds like you are having a good time with festive celebrations. Any favourite outfits so far?

Hope the schools are open again shop. No closures here just the usual train chaos.

Love the red rock studs amber.

I recently bought this winter coat. I’ve been looking for a warm waterproof winter coat for ages as I didn’t want something too casual as wanted to be able to wear it to work if necessary too. After buying and returning 3 from John Lewis my DH suggested I look at regatta (I know!). Any way, I saw this and it’s great. I would definitely recommend looking on their website if any one wants a waterproof coat as the prices are pretty reasonable. At the other end of the spectrum, I ordered this t shirt in the whistles sale.

Everyonelovessparkles · 14/12/2017 11:01

shop NAP sale is live, in case this gives you more options for your outfit for your DHs party.

VivaVegas · 14/12/2017 16:21

Nice coat Everyone and live those GR flats Marsha.
This is my Stories dress, still not sure re legs and footwear, the more I look at it. Something like the flats above but with a heel would be good maybe.
Out again tonight after a day in the office eating chocolates - will be rolling into Christmas!

VivaVegas · 14/12/2017 16:22

Link still doesn't work, give up!
It's the metal bar detail dress in red.

libertyonhertravels · 14/12/2017 22:46

Loving the Christmas outfit chat and start of sales season. I'm guessing a lot of you are waiting for the bigger discounts after Christmas.

I haven't bought anything new in ages and so far am not feeling the urge to sales shop which is just as well as we have spent a lot on outdoor furniture! Moving into our new rental in a few days and we decided that as we plan to spend a lot of time outdoors it was worth splashing the cash on a gorgeous teak outdoor 3 seater couch and 2 big chairs and a table (for the wine glasses!!). It's mine and DH's Xmas present to each other.

libertyonhertravels · 14/12/2017 22:49

Thought I'd attach a photo of my current view! On hot water beach on Coromandal peninsula. There is a hot stream under the beach and people dig out their own little hot pool at low tide and then run in and out of the sea cooling off.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 14/12/2017 22:52

what a view lib! you sound so much more chilled out these days!

I'm still nto feeling the urge to shop, might be tempted by some new make up after christmas but not sure, theres nothing i desperately want

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/12/2017 07:23

I’ve been there lib! It was good. Though slightly more grey when I went. I agree with one that you sound very relaxed at the moment. Outdoor furniture sounds great. Soon you will be bestowing the wisdom of bench purchasing on the bag threads 😂😂GrinGrin

For anyone have any cashmere joggers / lounge pants? I saw some for sale on NAP and am seriously considering getting done for when I work at home / over Xmas / lounging round the house (which I obviously do all the tine HmmSmile) but just wondering if they were worth the ££. Thanks!

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/12/2017 07:24

I don’t know why my phone insists on correcting some to done ALL the time. It is sooooo annoying.

libertyonhertravels · 15/12/2017 21:52

everyone Cashmere lounge pants sound lush. I would love a pair. I bought a mustard Cashmere poncho/wrap before I left Ireland and it's been great here on chilly evenings.

I am super relaxed. But then I have been on an extended holiday for nearly 4 months now. It's the combined effect of no work stress, lot's of time outdoors, less time spent on phone / SM, etc.
