Was it something I said? Grin

VivaVegas · 24/11/2017 17:30

Everyone is too busy shopping the bargains!

DryWhiteagainW · 24/11/2017 22:04

Today I wore this jumper a brilliant buy that goes with everything, with black slim leg trousers and oxblood pointy loafers....felt good.

Have big family get together in a hotel this weekend.

Outfits:

DryWhiteagainW · 24/11/2017 22:20

To travel and arrive this dress with black suede heeled shoe boots, plum coat......grey MJ Ross body bag

Dinner.....LBD , sleeveless fitted shift with gold exposed zip, whistles high heeled stilettos, statement necklace, MJ quilted clutch. Red lips .

Sunday lazy morning, home....leather skinnies, black r and B Chelsea boots, chunky grey roll neck.

Just need to pack it all.

libertyonhertravels · 25/11/2017 03:05

Wow, perfect outfits dry. I can see you in all of those.

Thanks again all for the skin advice. I have a Kiehl's brightening serum that I am going to use up while I source a Vit C serum. Things are busy here ATM. Fully in mode of finding a job and place to live, school for DD etc. And I need to sort Christmas. There aren't many hiding places for presents in our temporary rental Confused

Today am wearing grey Boden jeans, blue 'bohemian' logo t-shirt and tan sandals. Our container has arrived but we can't get the stuff until we have a house to put it in. Am really missing my shoes and bags!!!

Everyonelovessparkles · 25/11/2017 07:48

Outfits sound great dry, hope you have a nice weekend.

Yes there does come a point lib where you want your stuff. We had all our stuff in storage for 4months before we moved here and I lived in about 4 outfits. I couldn’t wait to have choices again by the end of the 4 months! But capsule wardrobes are easy.

Was out last night with friends. It was so cold. I wore ancient colour block Karen Millen polo neck with a black leather skirt and my LKB black suede ankle boots. I love that outfit! Busy day here with Xmas fairs and parties. Going to break out the Xmas Breton Grin.

Dreamqueen · 25/11/2017 09:28

Great outfit choices Dry Hope you have a great weekend.

Last night was so cold Everyone. I was out too and put on my black shearling coat over the red Oasis lace dress.

This morning I collected the Radley bag from Waitrose. The bag that John Lewis sent is grey not black even though the packaging says black. It's this one Decided to keep it anyway. I would normally not have thought of buying grey but think it will go with lost of outfits. I've reordered the black one. I''ve decided to clear out the bag cupboard and get rid of the bags that I don't love.

Lib Good luck with the house and job finding.

Have a great weekend all.

Stokey · 25/11/2017 10:14

Hi team

I like the Reeboks Shop,no-one will remember VB wearing them once.I just bought some new Stans as they were 30% off - not the trainers of choice any more probably but I do love them & both my pairs are battered.

Have bought a few things - some £10 off harems from Hush & a couple of dresses, & I did a J-Crew shop after being inspired by Kitty so will link if any of it works.

I had got a load of Massimo Dutti in a basket at one point & then looked at it again & thought "boring" so left it. did see this navy dress which i though would look great on you, Dry. love the way your "relaxed" outfit is leather skinnies - that's my night out Grin

Nice to hear you're settling in Lib

good bag buy Dream

It was freezing last night.I took DD1 to the theatre to see Matilda as a birthday treat - highly recommended - but had a nightmare getting an Uber when we came out. Poor child was very tired & chilly.

Your outfit sounds nice Everyone. I tend to forget Karen Millen these days but have got my eye on some red velvet trousers there, which I in no way need!

Longislandicetee · 25/11/2017 10:14

Morning all! We have a frantically busy day today with birthday parties and activities. Not helped by the fact that i have spent most of the last 1.5 hours trying to sort out a simple banking transaction.Angry

Not looking forward to going out as I know it's going to be so cold!! Just chosen my outfit for the day. It's shades of grey. YSL Breton cashmere sweater over a black ME&EM layering top (seriously recommend this for cold days!), j crew faded black toothpick jeans tucked into grey suede lowland boots. My Max Mara cashmere coat, grey Brora cashmere beanie and M&S cashmere lined leather gloves. In summary...... If it's warm, it's going on! Can't decide the bag - i might jazz up all the monochrome and grey with my blue suede PS1.

I have also been inundated with the Black Friday emails. It's all been too much so i am either going to unsubscribe from lots of them - i had a purge about a year ago, or I am going to set up the filters in my outlook account so that they all get sent directly to a folder. I have felt inundated. The annoying thing is when you get people emailing you several times a day - Brand Alley, Secret Sales, Amazon and Body Shop are the worst for this. However i did succumb and buy stuff from Harvey Nicks - will link later, and want to do a White Company shop for candles and teachers gifts etc, so they're not entirely useless.Hmm If anyone can figure out an answer let me know!

DryWhiteagainW · 25/11/2017 11:25

stokey really like that dress. On phone niwbut willhavecloser look on iPad.
my smart/casual is mote smart than casual i suppose! Kate tried leather skinnies for going out but never feel right, prefer them for daytime.

Am reading the Paris thread, really loving it and Nodding a lot

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/11/2017 13:17

I had a big unsubscribing purge a while ago on the emails, still got 14 in 24 hours yesterday (and I already filter them into a separate folder). It's so stressful!

Having said that, I have been on a massive and long overdue splurge since yesterday evening...
WIT earrings
Stories blouse (called Gilded Blouse if the link doesn't work)
Silk wrap blouse
Oasis Velvet leggings
and a boring Figleaves order of some opaque pop socks and a bra. Phew!

Have decided I am not going to bother with dresses this Xmas (the floaty maxis that are around do not suit me). So will hopefully wear the gold blouse and leggings to my work do.

Dry have a fun weekend, love family gatherings and your outfits sound perfect. The fact that you planned it all in advance makes me smile as I would definitely do that too.

Lib Yay for the container and fingers crossed you find a house very soon.

Dream I love how you decided to keep both the bags!

Stokey have seen Matilda, it's brilliant. I think you should try the velvet trousers I desperately need to enable someone as I've spent so much today.

Blingy your outfit sounds toasty yet stylish.

I am off out tonight (just to Hawksmoor for DH's birthday) and think I will wear this RL dress but don't want to freeze. Why is it you feel the cold more as you get older?!

shopafrolic · 25/11/2017 16:13

Come on pro shoppers. Get with the programme and get two email addresses - one for retail marketing stuff and one for important personal stuff.
I only have my personal email on my phone, and then check into the retail marketing message stuff whenever I choose.
I have just bought my dream scarf from Rockins with their 30% off Black Friday code. I've been waiting at least a year to buy it - I hope I like it now as they won't accept returns on BF purchases!
Freezing cold today - we nipped out for lunch after miniShop had done gymnastics and am now having a sort out ahead of going out for dinner with friends tonight. Definitely a leather trousers and faux fur coat type of evening. BRRR.
Dry have a wonderful weekend :)
I like the Reeboks, but then I saw a 9 year old in the village wearing them and got put off even more!
In other footwear related news, since I have stopped wearing my Stan Smiths and also my Pistols, my knee problem has all but disappeared.......

Longislandicetee · 25/11/2017 17:48

Good idea Shop cos the level of emails this week has been nuts. That's great about the scarf. Fingers crossed!

Stokey i want to take the dcs to see Matilda too.

Blair have a fab time, have never been for dinner there but they do a great breakfast. Those are all lovely buys.

I bought this PS1 mini coral leather satchel yesterday.

Everyonelovessparkles · 25/11/2017 18:54

shop 😂😂😂 that made me laugh about the 2 email addresses. Good tip, don’t know why I haven’t got round to doing it.

Nice dress blair, hope you have a nice time tonight.

Hope you have a good time too shop.

stokey I don’t bother much with KM these days either. I find the dresses don’t really suit my shape. Though this polo neck must be at least 6 years old and is like new so well worth the initial outlay at the start.

Will go back and read some of the recent posts as my frazzled brain can’t cope with all the info!

shopafrolic · 26/11/2017 00:01

Love that bag Blingy

Long day of travelling ahead. OOTD is mid wash Levis, La Redoute metail breton in gold and slate grey, grey gazelles & cashmere wrap. I nearly bought thes shoes in duty free but couldn't decide on the fit. I've just looked for them online & they are cheaper than in duty free so will order. Duty free can be such a con.

I remember you saying about having the shopping email Shop at a MU. I need to do that, I've been inundated and I'm imposing a semi shopping ban after Christmas. There's not much I really want at the moment but I get sucked in by the special offers.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 26/11/2017 14:09

I'm sure you will love the scarf Shop, but fyi it is illegal for them to not accept returns when they are selling online as you haven't seen the goods before buying them (see here under "cancelling goods and services"). They're just trying it on.

(A lot of people also don't know about this bit:
"Refunding the cost of delivery
The trader has to refund the basic delivery cost of getting the goods to you in the first place, so if you opted for enhanced service eg guaranteed next day, it only has to refund the basic cost." - if you return something bought online, they have to refund whatever the basic postage cost was as well!)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 26/11/2017 14:12

Blingy the colour of that bag is just gorgeous!

Dream where are you off to? Is it your tropical wedding?

kittyhello · 26/11/2017 14:33

Gorgeous bag and fab colour Blingy loved the sound of your ootd

Dream are you off to sunnier climes? Envy

Shop Blair's right, love the Reeboks btw

Boden Stan Smith alikes arrived and they're keepers. Have swapped bedrooms with dc and having a major clear out at the same time. How do we manage to accumulate so much stuff Shock

Queen hope you're okay Thanks

MarshaBradyo · 26/11/2017 17:33

I’ve spent a small fortune but it’s all home and Christmas related stuff. Feel a bit ill

Looking forward to checking out links when not on my phone

shopafrolic · 26/11/2017 20:01

Blair thanks for that. I did think it possibly wasn’t legal.
Rubbish day here. DH has a sore back so took it out on the rest of us by being an arse. Looking forward to him going back to work tomorrow Grin

Hello Voguettes!!!
Looking for a rental property in Auckland is very fucking stressful - thank God for Wine is all I can say. If I see one more over priced shithole I will cry....

And breath...

Blair lovely stuff - those earrings are great.
Blingy great bag, really love the colour.
Stokey Stans are very you - too right to stick with them.

Had a lovely day out yesterday in Newmarket in Auckland checking out the shopping and the cafes with an old friend - looks promising - some fantastic homewear stuff especially and very promising looking Kiwi designers. Definitely not as much focus on brands and consumerism generally here is my first impression - it's refreshing.

MarshaBradyo · 27/11/2017 10:44

Blair love what you've bought, the silk blouse looks so soft

Stokey damn I can't see the dress for some reason, I should book Matilda one day. I see the School of Rock the other day and it was so incredibly good I cried a bit

Lib I can imagine, I think it's the same in Melbourne. Rental properties are very ££ but worse still they go in a flash, on the same day so everyone is in a bunfight. The shopping sounds lovely.

Dry outfits sound ace

Who has the 30% off Matches?

Having a look now, really like these Aquazzura suede boots so far (just started looking)

shopafrolic · 27/11/2017 11:08

Those are lush Marsha
I have the code - just no £££ to use it Grin

OP posts:
libertyonhertravels · 27/11/2017 11:13

That's it Marsha the good houses go so fast - and school is very strictly zoned - if you live in a school's catchment they have to give you a place and needless to say the zones for the best schools are very small and very £££.

Those boots are lush...sadly I don't have a code.
