Hello everyone!

I thought I'd start a new thread since we bought so much stuff we filled up the old one! Who's coming with me?

Those creases!!! Shock

chloechloe · 07/11/2017 16:46

I know! The ridiculous thing is that everything was beautifully folded so that the items were all perfectly stacked together. I can't believe somebody goes to the trouble of folding the things so nicely when one of the items is, as my mother would say, creased to buggery.

I don't get Hush at times. Some items are spot on for quality (jersey PJs, Tara dress, ruched skirt) yet others are just terrible.

Echo that. Their v neck tees are only good for dishrags. I’ve had £5.99 tees from H&M that wear and wash better. But some of their other stuff is so lovely. It’s utterly bizarre.

chloechloe · 07/11/2017 21:27

I'd forgotten about the tees useless, I had two turn straight to dishrags, though Hush did refund me without any problem.

I've got my new PJs on and they're amazing! I'm tempted to buy the other colour but think that may be a bit ridiculous. Maybe I'll hold out in the hope they do them in something other than stripes in the next collection.

Has anyone got the duffel coat? Is the fur or the hood detacheable?

ilovecherries · 08/11/2017 20:40

Is it Not The Done Thing to return items from multiple orders in the same box to Hush? This is the second time I've done it, and both times only items from one order have been refunded. It's been 4 days now since some of the items were refunded, with no sign of the others. Last time I waited a week before following up, and they did refund the other items no problem, but I feel it's beginning to look like I'm scamming them. Both times I've done it because one of the boxes had been damaged in transit. I add both order numbers to the label, as well as enclosing both returns slips.

chloechloe · 08/11/2017 20:55

That's very strange cherries. I assume Hush just have one return address? I've noticed for example that Zalando have at least two different return addresses where I am in Germany so I've always put things back in the box they came from as i assumed it would mess up the returns process otherwise. But if that's not the case I can't see why some items would take longer to refund.

Hello everyone Smile

This thread is very timely for me (as well as very tempting...), as I'm toying this evening with ordering a charcoal Tara dress - it would be great if I could get some input. I'm starting a new job soon and I'm looking for a few smart and versatile pieces for my work wardrobe.

However, I've not bought from Hush before and I'm not sure on the sizing. I'm size 12-14, an hourglass figure, and 5ft9. From the size guide, my measurements would make me a Medium but as it would be for work, and don't want it either too clingy or too short. But obviously don't want to get something that is way too big either! Should I go up to a Large? Do Hush sizes run small or big? Is the Tara dress very short on taller ladies? Appreciate any input!

neveradullmoment99 · 08/11/2017 21:29

I have done this loads cherries. Its only been an issue once. What i usually do is write on the return slip that there are two orders returned. I havent had an issue. Got both refunds due at the same time yesterday from the same box.

JanetStWalker · 08/11/2017 21:31

The seem painfully slow at processing refunds the best of times, over 7 days and counting.

chloechloe · 09/11/2017 08:49

Hi yazoop! I would definitely go for the M in your case. Hush sizes are very generous. The length should be fine as the genius of the Tara dress means you can pull it up or down at the waist to get the length you want.

I'm a 10 hourglass and have the S.

Thanks @chloechloe - that's really helpful!

ilovecherries · 09/11/2017 11:53

To be fair, after I sent an email querying my missing refund this morning, they've replied already and refunded the missing bits. It's just a bit odd that it happens - I think from now on I will return each order in its own package.

neveradullmoment99 · 09/11/2017 12:08

I suppose that another potential problem with sending two orders in the one box is that if it does go missing, how can you prove that two orders are in the box? It doesn't cost to return so maybe its just better to do it separately. I have put both in the one box but have taken photographs of it on my phone just in case!

ilovecherries · 09/11/2017 15:59

Never, I'm always confused about how you'd prove what was in the box anyway. All the PoP demonstrates really is that you sent them SOMETHING, but it could be anything in there. RM wouldn't cover me for anything like the value if it wasn't delivered, and if it IS delivered, but then some items aren't refunded, either accidentally or deliberately, you can't really prove what you sent. Like you, I always take a photo of the items in the box, but that really doesn't prove much either, I mainly do it so I can keep track. I've found that some companies (Boden/Hush/JL spring to mind) always seem to give the customer the benefit of the doubt in these circumstances, but others will argue the toss. I've never, touch wood, had a return fail to reach its destination, but there's been a few occasions when items within a return aren't credited. Cashmere especially often seems to get lost. I check off all my returns with a hawk eye, because although I probably buy a lot (very rural area and until recently not a mainstream size), I return an awful lot as well. But on an aside, what is one meant to do with the additional sticky returns label that comes in a Hush parcel? Not the postage label, the small one?

chloechloe · 09/11/2017 16:05

I think the small label is for international returns cherries. Or possibly ones that aren't postage paid? I've just sent my items back and one of the returns labels had been removed from the sheet (am not in the U.K.) leaving just the small one.

Have just paid €7 return as well as the £9 intl delivery Angry

ilovecherries · 09/11/2017 16:12

Ouch. That's a lot, Chloe. I'd have to curb my buy/try/return habit a bit if that was the case!

neveradullmoment99 · 09/11/2017 16:16

I always keep my free returns labels for use other times.
I agree cherries about not being able to prove what was in the box. However because it is free postage and therefore the postage has been paid by Hush, the contract for the safe return is with hush so you should never have to chase RM for reimbursment for it unless you haven't proof of postage. It is Hush's responsibility. I remember a parcel did not arrive to me and they were quick to phone me with the guarantee that they would refund me if it didn't. The claim for loss is with the person that pays for the postage. They have the contract wit the courier.That is my understanding. {I sell on ebay}

neveradullmoment99 · 09/11/2017 16:19

...and as you said, even if you did pay for postage, it would be very bad PR if they weren't to reimburse for a loss considering they are an online retailer and rely purely on postage of items.

IdentityRequest1 · 09/11/2017 22:13

Any discount codes around? I've got my eye on the Dahlia dress...

FizzPopping · 10/11/2017 09:27

@IdentityRequest1 only free delivery and return code (WINTER17) but can give you my details for refer a friend for £10 off if you want

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 10/11/2017 10:31

Identity - I have just sent back the Dahlia: I'm 5 foot 4 and it was just a weird length. Even DD said it was weirdly long. It might suit you better, or you might like the length, but if you're 5 foot 4 and you don't want it over the knee, I'd steer clear!

neveradullmoment99 · 10/11/2017 11:03

Oooooh my Hereford boots came this morning and they are utterly gorgeous.I absolutely love them so they really are keepers. I am so glad i bit the bullet and got them as they are now sold out.
Had purchased a pair of boots but they squeaked continuously. It was incredibly embaressing at work. Even my dh who is normally oblivious commented. They were Hudson ones so not cheap. Sent them back for a refund and bought these beauties.

Justfivemoreminutesplease · 10/11/2017 18:59

I have just got the 'love' scarf in blue / black and also the black biker jacket - love both of them. Am impressed that the biker jacket is lined with the faux fur stuff throughout.

IdentityRequest1 · 11/11/2017 00:34

Ooh Seek... I'm 5ft 6. I'm not sure now...
