Hello everyone!

I thought I'd start a new thread since we bought so much stuff we filled up the old one! Who's coming with me?

My sister lives in Paris. She is British but built like a racing snake. Eats whatever she wants. Fits in beautifully Envy

VivaLeBeaver · 02/11/2017 10:48

Whats the sizing like on the ruched skirt? Am generally between sizes so unsure whether to go up or down a size.

buggerthebotox · 02/11/2017 10:51

fucking the cardi works fine as long as you're not expecting "smart". Mine developed a long tear between the neck and body which I had to have repaired and went bobbly after one wear.

I was offered my money back. The quality was truly shit. But I still love it.

I had the same problem with a Phase 8 cardi i bought last year. Terrible quality-looked like a dishrag after one wash.

I think it's quite tricky to buy good quality knitwear these days.

chloechloe · 02/11/2017 11:24

viva You may want to size up on the ruched skirt. I have two in an M whereas my Tara dress is a size 10. I have big hips and a small waist and was worried it might dig in a bit if I went for the smaller one. With the Tara dress you can pull the waist up or down to get the best fit which doesn't really work with the skirt.

Having said that if you plan on wearing it with opaque tights, I find they are quite slimming and smoothing so you may get away with the smaller size.

botox Yes good quality knitwear is really hard to find!

@buggerthebotox Yes, good quality knitwear is SO hard to find. I’m glad to hear you still love your cardi. I can’t justify it at the moment, maybe after Xmas.

fuckinguseless · 02/11/2017 11:29

@VivaLeBeaver I’ve just sold my ruched skirt on eBay. It was a Large and fitted me when I was a size 16. Hope that’s useful?

VivaLeBeaver · 02/11/2017 11:43

Thanks. Are there any codes about?

fuckinguseless · 02/11/2017 11:48

I have a £10 code if you have an email that hasn’t been used with them before. If you want it I’ll PM it to you.

VivaLeBeaver · 02/11/2017 11:50

Yes please. Havent used hush before. Thanks

Ellapaella · 02/11/2017 13:32

I got a code for free delivery and returns today: winter17

Dancergirl · 02/11/2017 14:37

Has anyone tried the Jada knit tunic? I like the look of it in green but £149?? Shock

Dancergirl I received my Jade tunic this morning and I'm very sorry but I just didn't want to take it off. It is so very soft Smile. I managed to get it with the 10% off code though so whether you think it's worth it or not ...... I know I'll get a lot of wear out of it but I do acknowledge it's a lot of money.

Honeycake I have it in a medium and I'd say it actually gives a bit with wearing and washing.

Talisin · 02/11/2017 15:44

Got my Mona devore star skirt today and I love it! It is quite short but can be worn a little lower down the hips if I wear a slightly longer top with it. Goes really well with a black velvet jacket I got from Amazon a few weeks ago as well. Gold stripe black sweatshirt I ordered at the same time still on back order.

ilovecherries · 02/11/2017 16:27

I really want to defy my HoC consultant and buy all the black at the minute. Love that gold stripe sweat.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/11/2017 16:54

ilovecherries I love black. Why be dictated to about what you should wear? Buy it! Grin

VivaLeBeaver · 02/11/2017 22:29

Got the ruched skirt for £35 and free postage, thanks.

Theonlyoneiknow · 03/11/2017 10:30

Has anyone bought from Celtic&Co ? Some lovely knitwear pieces and a similar price to Hush. Slouchy, soft, well wearing is what I need!

My sale piece arrived yesterday, wool button skirt. It's really flattering and great for work although very short (and I'm only 157cm) but I do wear short skirts (who cares about age!)

neveradullmoment99 · 03/11/2017 11:10

Well on here i have heard that celtic and co are very good quality. No personal experience though.
I ordered the leather skirt in a 12 and 10 [ birthday present from mum and brother] and i am not sure which one to keep. 10 fits beautifully. Lovely length neat on hips and waist. However, there is no extra room for bloat. My question is, will it stretch? It is soft leather and it is lined. Maybe it wont because of the lining? The 12 on the other hand isn't as nice. Its flappier around the hips and not as neat a fit. For me and because of the price, i want to have it for years to come. I am scared my weight fluctuates [ 50 now] so am aware my weight could fluctuate - menopause and all that. What should I keep? The 12 or the 10???? Confused

Floisme · 03/11/2017 11:11

Me! I'm not a fan of Hush quality (shouldn't be on here really - sorry) but I have 2 Celtic & Co jumpers in geelong wool and can't recommend them highly enough: fitted but slouchy and lovely deep V neck. Not quite as soft as cashmere but not far off and wears a hell of a lot better. And made in the UK too.

RubbishMantra · 03/11/2017 11:32

I'm a great lover of comfort before anything else, neveradullmoment, but in this instance I'd keep the one that looks amazing on you. Does your weight fluctuate much, or have you remained the size you are fairly consistently? Best not to be able to wear it on the odd 'fat day' and it looks looking good when you do wear it than for it to always be too big, 'just in case'?

neveradullmoment99 · 03/11/2017 11:36

It fluctuates more now I am older however i keep it in check by doing the 5:2 . I am inclined to keep the smaller one but like you, am one for comfort.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/11/2017 11:37

Best not to be able to wear it on the odd 'fat day' and it looks looking good when you do wear it than for it to always be too big, 'just in case'?

Good point!

Theonlyoneiknow · 03/11/2017 11:37

I'd also go for the 10 in that case and not wear it on those bloated days. What length is it on you out of interest? Will check out Celtic and co knitwear - they often have discount codes too Thanks!

neveradullmoment99 · 03/11/2017 11:41

The 10 hits me just above the knee, which is perfect. The 12 is looser on the waist - I can easily fit a clenched fist at the waist so sits just under the knee and less flattering on me. I am pear shaped and because the skirt sits lower this means its flappier at the sides. Not as nice and not streamline.
