Hello everyone!

I thought I'd start a new thread since we bought so much stuff we filled up the old one! Who's coming with me?

My coat arrived as well but the medium is a bit too neat. What size did you get? It is lovely but even if it was a better fit I'm just not sure if I would get enough wear out of it to justify the cost.

I also got the Jada tunic in the green, it's really nice but I'm undecided if it's just a bit too big and also how it will wash/bobble potential.

Any ideas if hush will have any codes/discounts for Black Friday?

neveradullmoment99 · 16/11/2017 17:57

Did you recieve your jersey top cherries?
I am awaiting the sparkly tunic and its not moved from RM delivery office since 7:05pm yesterday. Its annoying!!!

barlights · 16/11/2017 18:52

I’m awaiting the black jersey top. Hoping it’s a keeper. Have ordered the XS and S just to be on the safe side.

Fishfingersandwich3 · 16/11/2017 20:52

I got a Large and normally take 14 on top. I think it was quite generous.

ilovecherries · 16/11/2017 20:59

The jersey top finally arrived at 5pm today! Terribly creased, even though carefully folded. I'm not sure about it - it feels completely different to the grey one, much more elastic-y somehow. But given there was something badly wrong with the fabric of my grey one, maybe the black one is as it should be.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/11/2017 21:27

I only have the grey one. I have the Ivy dress in black from last season that is much shorter to the ones this season so in many ways is similar to the jersey top so i didn't bother getting it in the black. Tbh, i forget to wear the grey one. I have too many other nice things to wear!!! I am constantly wearing the Ivy dresses though. They are comfy and easy to wear. Wish they did them in loads more colours. I would buy them all. I have them in both burgundy and green as well but could do with ordering the one in black as its much easier to wear being a bit longer in length.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/11/2017 21:28

Cherries, i wonder if they are different fabrics? Off to check...

neveradullmoment99 · 16/11/2017 21:30

They are both 95% Modal, 5% Elastane. Strange because they do look different!!!

ilovecherries · 16/11/2017 22:03

Actually, I was just thinking if I'd be better to send it back and buy the Ivy in black. For £10 difference it might be a more versatile option.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/11/2017 22:45

I love the Ivy dress and wear it all the time. I wear it over skinny jeans and leggings. Its very handy and much more useful to me than the top tbh. It also has pockets!!! If you are a 10 I would opt for the xs in it.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/11/2017 22:48

In case you don't like it you could order it and then return the one you prefer?

ilovecherries · 16/11/2017 23:18

I've got it in burgundy, and I have worn that a lot. And the pockets are great, of course. Is the green a coolish shade, or is it quite warm, do you think?

Talisin · 16/11/2017 23:28

I’d call it a bitter green. Defintely not warm.

ilovecherries · 16/11/2017 23:29

I did briefly have the Ivy in green, but then someone in JL changing room commented that her friend like a Xmas tree in it, and I sent it back, but can't quite remember the shade it was.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/11/2017 23:33

It is a sort of cub scout uniform green? I like both colours - the burgundy and the forest.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/11/2017 23:34

..the forest green :)
I usually wear it with a chunky necklace or pendant. Not thought of the xmas tree image ha ha... I wouldn't be put off by that. I would never have given it a second thought.

ilovecherries · 16/11/2017 23:45

I know, I was a bit embarrassed to admit I'd been so influenced. I think it's because I've lost so much weight recently that I'm sometimes unsure of my choices. It's so long since clothes buying was a pleasure rather than an occasional necessity. I'm loving it, but I'm still lacking a bit of confidence and feel a bit naked sometimes.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/11/2017 09:14

Everyone has those moments cherries Flowers Great that you lost the weight - well done and confidence will be built up but I am sure it takes time. For me, although i have never really been over a size 14 [ maybe a 16 after pregnancies] I now have to be careful to watch my weight at the age of 50. I do the 5:2 when I am working and have cut sweets right down. I am now the slimmest i have been for a long time - verging on a 10. Its taken me a lot longer to rid the pounds now that i am older. It has been progressively hard to shift from late forties onwards. Age for me is also now a thing that will nibble at my self confidence and leave me unsure as to whether I am fooling myself with what i am wearing!!! Its hard work being female!!!

DelaneyHasAUseForMe · 17/11/2017 15:55

Hi everyone! Am so pleased to have found this thread, I am a complete Hush addict!!

So far this season I have bought:
Dahlia dress in diamond print (I practically live in this, it goes with everything and can be dressed up or down);
Black ruched skirt (don’t know how I ever managed without it!);
Printed Alessia shirt (gorgeous);
Black Amie joggers (a bit disappointing- not as good quality as the harems);
Long grey harems (love them)

Have just ordered the marina skirt in black am thinking it might be good with a vest top for a Xmas night out, but worried it might look too casual...does anyone have it? Thought it might be more versatile than buying a new dress that just sits in my wardrobe...

I am also considering the Ivy dress after reading the above!!

neveradullmoment99 · 17/11/2017 21:29

Delaney I had the marina skirt in black. its gorgeous. I think it will be great for a night out. Its one of the reasons that i sold mine on. I just never found the occasion to wear it. Many people say that you can wear it casually but tbh i just felt dressy in it. Found it hard to dress it down. I find that i like to wear my clothes both to work and at home but I just couldn't get this skirt to fit in with my lifestyle. I teach so always felt far too dressed up when at school. It is lovely and i remember my dd looking lovingly at it and she was only 9 at the time!
The glitter easy dress came throught today and I am sending it back. Its like the Ivy dress but shorter. I think it looks beautiful but I can't imagine where i would wear it. Its far too sparkly to wear daily imo and i don't go out that much so i really doubt i will wear it that much. I have also planned what to wear for my xmas night out so wasnt really looking for anything like that. I also noticed it had numerous pulls. I think the fabric will drive you crazy. A rag on your nail is all it will take.
I feel reluctant to send it back but i know its not practical. I do like it. I had also snuck in an order of the snake print florence skirt again and it fits!!! It just goes to show that between two skirts the same size there can be a difference. Really pleased about that :)

neveradullmoment99 · 17/11/2017 21:32

I keep covetting the leather leggings They look amazing on the model but they are just SO far out of my budget atm esp with xmas looming. Hoping for a bit of a discount in the sale. Would love them in black. Hush leather quality is great. I know they would be a great piece to have but the price...

Madonnasmum · 17/11/2017 22:23

Just about to order there Ivy dress, it says it comes up large. I'm a good 14, should I go for a medium or large? Worried the large might be on the big side and make me look fat (ter).

ilovecherries · 17/11/2017 22:36

I'm a good 14, and I wear the medium, sent the large back, it swamped me.

Madonnasmum · 17/11/2017 22:39

@ilovecherries thank you!

neveradullmoment99 · 17/11/2017 22:49

Definetly the medium :)
