Whiffy armpit update

A brief new thread, just so anybody interested (I still can't believe how many of you were nice enough to post with advice!!) doesn't have to trawl through.

Staggeringly, it seems as if a mere switch to SOAP has pretty much done the trick Shock

I've not even broken out the new deodorant yet because I've washed with soap these past two mornings and even with my old deodorant I am fresher at 7.30pm than I was at 9.30am that morning I posted.

Only change - soap instead of shower gel.

I can't believe I have let my lovely tops get whiffy all these years when it was a simple a solution as that!!!

I will def try the new deodorants (Sure is my first one to try out) as the problem isn't TOTALLY solved (about 80% improved, though) and I've had relatively non-busy/running aorund days, so I would want a strong, reliable deodorant for a busy or warm day.

But really, for any other sufferers, I had to start a new thread just to say SOAP SOAP SOAP.

What the hell is (or is not) IN shower gel, that it does such a crap job?

Massive thanks again to everyone.

Yours un-whiffily Grin
Jessicake

No I'm using a different one to salt of the earth. This is the one I'm using. Better than salt of the earth I think

Most cancer is bad luck a tiny tiny percentage is environment. I wouldn't worth about deodorant

Haffiana · 27/09/2017 22:53

Blahblahboo it is the same made of alum as the other one.

It is OK if you use it because you like it, but it isn't true to say that it is aluminium free.

BoreOfWhabylon · 27/09/2017 22:54

Well, Holland and Barrett doesn't state the ingredients but this site does

Incognito Natural Crystal Citronella Deodorant

Ingredients
Ammonium Alum, Aqua, Cymbopogon nardus (citronella)

Ammonium Alum is Ammonium aluminium sulfate

Which is what Haffiana and I have been trying to tell you.

To use your own phrase "shows how much you know" Blah

If anti-perspirants block pores, and you sweat out of pores, why don't they work? :)

I agree the salt things don't stop you sweating at all, but they can help prevent smells. But they smash if you drop them and they're not cheap!

I'm OK with anti-perspirant blocking my pores, personally (they don't though).

Still happy with the soap here. :)

Blahblahboo · 27/09/2017 23:34

Even if they do they certainly don't contain all the other toxins that's in deodorant so it's a win right there . Same reason why I use Dr organic body wash and shampoo, but the conditioner made my hair way too moist ( never thought id think that was a problem lol) .
Less toxins and chemicals means a happy body and a happy body is a healthy body, plhs my skin is now so smooth and clear it's obviously doing some good. Or maybe that's the health supplements or intermittent fasting ( that gets rid of any crap you put in your body) . Hell I don't care which one it is but it's all working wonders.
