Tis the season...

The first one I've seen actually for sale is the John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar. £149 with a great selection of products.
Ordered mine!

thenewstateswoman - in that case, I am glad I didn't fill my basket with items to qualify for the £35 spend that I intended to return!

BulletFox · 09/11/2017 10:37

Annabelle I was surprised the LF one hasn't sold out yet, there was so much hype about it

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/11/2017 11:27

@MountainDweller I have been and claimed my treasure from M & S. Measurements, if I square it off into a complete box, rather than the triangle thing it is....39cm wide, 27cm high, and 13 cm deep.

BitOutOfPractice · 09/11/2017 11:31

I'm so excited to pick mine up now

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/11/2017 11:35

@Rachie1986 have done the measuring for anyone who wants it. BTW, despite internet info saying Home and Clothes, you can actually do a beauty spend. So I have bought Pixi Glow pads, and an Emma Bridgewater diffuser, which puts me over the £35 spend.

MotherofTerriers · 09/11/2017 12:09

I've ordered two calendars, had to do it as two transactions like Aridane said
That's it, enough for this year

MountainDweller · 09/11/2017 12:32

spongebob thanks so much! Thanks also rachie for the offer!

chloechloe that’s very poor re both the items and the customer service. Yuk that they are sending out tested items! I’ve contacted them once via the form (3 days wait for reply) and now 3 times using their live chat, which at least means you get an immediate response, but the people on the other end know nothing! They seem to have no record of previous correspondence and I think they are just replying from a script.
Me: why it is taking so long?
Them: because have no update yet
Me: can’t you just call someone for an update while I’m here
Them: we don’t have a direct line

Head. Brick wall Angry

Ooh and I like the M&S lucky dip idea!

annabelle I don’t understand why they can’t cancel and reorder for me either! But I have asked and they say they can’t. I have thought about doing it myself but was worried I’d just end up at the back of the queue.

Luckily they haven’t actually taken the money off my card yet... I think they take it when they dispatch the order. Latest is they’ve said 48 hours for an update. Waiting with baited breath.

Lavender thanks for the tip!

snowplop · 09/11/2017 13:19

I made a quick trip into M&S to return something and left with a black tux jacket and an advent calendar. They were stacked everywhere. I stood no chance of getting out without one Blush So I have a LF one and M&S. I always buy a pretty picture one for the kitchen too. A chocolate one is nice as well. I'm a retailer's dream...

fishchipspeasandgravy · 10/11/2017 08:00

Look fantastic advent arrived yesterday, it’s gorgeous! Have ordered the M&S one too but that might yet go back.

blodynmawr · 10/11/2017 15:12

Last year had the M&S one for the first time which me and DD shared and really loved.
This year got a Bomb Cosmetics one and a Jack Wills one for DD. Wasn't going to get another one but have today caved and ordered the M&S one Blush .

MelanieCheeks · 10/11/2017 17:53

Yup, caved and got my M&S one today too. Then went and drooled over the Hotel Chocolat ones also.....

woodhill · 10/11/2017 17:57

Ordered M&S one.

Annabelle4 · 21/11/2017 14:47

Bumping for a poster on the Christmas section

problembottom · 21/11/2017 17:54

I have my first beauty advent calendar this year thanks to DP. A Look Fantastic one, the only one we could find which wasn’t sold out, I have no idea what’s in it which is good cause I like surprises. If they were all in stock I’d have gone for an Elemis one.

BluebellGal · 21/11/2017 22:43

You don’t have to spend £35 at M&S to get the calendar for £35 if you do the 3 for 2 as long as the original price exceeds £35

Example - I purchased 2 x £15 slipper socks and a £8 book in the 3 for 2. Original price = £38. I actually paid £30 and still qualified for the£35 advent calendar. Assistant confirmed it’s fhe original price that qualifies [you're welcome Wink]

lottieandmia22 · 21/11/2017 23:43

I love the M&S one. It’s brilliant value. I also bought the Elemis one because I love anti ageing skincare. And the Look Fantastic one for dd2.

lottieandmia22 · 21/11/2017 23:43

Does anyone have Charlotte Tilbury? I really like the look of it but not sure.

caggie09 · 24/11/2017 09:10

Charlotte Tilbury one is now half price. Im tempted to buy it😳

caggie09 · 24/11/2017 09:14

Wrong one, it is this years advent half price😳

caggie09 · 24/11/2017 09:14

Isnt* arghh!!

BitOutOfPractice · 24/11/2017 12:12

Is it 1 December yet

BulletFox · 24/11/2017 13:07

Hold your horses, BitOutOfPractice

MathsFiend · 24/11/2017 14:28

Think the Charlotte Tilbury one is way over priced. Even 50% discount on last year’s is over priced IMO.

Posted elsewhere, but LPB25 gets you a discount on the Look Fantastic calendar. Discount descends hourly from 25% (was 23% when I got it 15 mins ago).

lottieandmia22 · 24/11/2017 14:46

The LF calendar is lovely.

lottieandmia22 · 24/11/2017 14:49

Hang on, the CT calendar on offer is last years. So won't the products have a shorter shelf life?
