I've just been looking online at chocolate ones. I would LOVE the Hotel Chocolat one but there's no overseas delivery.

I've had emails today from Space NK and Cult Beauty with their Xmas GWP offerings and has to sit on my hands, but I really cannot justify any more beauty products!

Oh I need help.

Have just spent 250 on beauty in Harvey Nichols to qualify for their Gift with Purchase. I didn"t even know it existed until a few hours ago. Mind you 120 pounds of that was on a GHD curling wand which I had been sort of considering for a while and I did get some soap and candles which can go to MIL.

I was going to buy the Space NK gift one but I wasn't overly keen on the cracker idea. I have no need for 12 paper hats and I doubt DH or the boys would be up for pulling them with me. Also the contents seemed to be mainly skin care with not much in the way of make up or perfume.

The Harvey Nichols one seems to have a good selection of products. Its not an advent calendar just a large bag filled with goodies. That suits me better as I don't even have to pretend that I am going to keep it till December 1st and open one door a day.

Oh belinda you've just reminded I was lusting after a GHD curling wand and now I'm tempted to get it to go for one of the GWPs. Which would be ridiculous as I barely have time to wash my hair with the kids let alone style it!

Really cross. Waited in all day for my Liberty calendar, didn't arrive. Finally phoned DHL on their premium rate number, it's not coming today cos they had a power cut. Which means waiting in all day tomorrow. They can't tell me whether it will be morning or afternoon.

If they can email to say it's coming on a certain day, why can't they also email to say its delayed?

Mother, I waited in all day for mine yesterday and had to leave the house for just 20 minutes to do the afternoon school run ( wet lucky as it's only down the road) and it came while I was out! Luckily I'd left a note on the door saying what time I'd be back and that I'd give them some of the Halloween chocolate if he waited, which he did The tracking info available was just awful though I agree

My Liberty calendar arrived, looks lovely. Will try to sit on my hands till 1 December.

Meanwhile I have been in touch with Look Fantastic who have said there was a technical glitch which is why it hasn’t been sent (pre-ordered in September). Apparently there is one allocated to me but it could take 72 hours to sort out the technical problem. Honestly how hard can it be? Not impressed. 72 hours is up tomorrow morning and haven’t heard back so no doubt I’m due another frustrating conversation with them 😡

I was trying to find this thread earlier today, because I was shopping and saw an advent calendar by Kelloggs - yes, a breakfast cereal one. They can make a calendar out of anything! although that doesn't mean they should

That's really poor mountaindweller. I've actually not used LF for a couple of years after a bad experience with their customer services. I couldn't resist the calendar though so had to let my principles slide

I have the Liberty one and I popped into Aldi this morning for the wine one for DH. One of the store guys made a joke i.e. don't drink it all at once. I said it was for my DH, he said oh really in a sarcastic tone so I felt like calling him out on his sexist remarks, complaining to the manager going public and forcing his resignation but then I thought that wasn't in the spirit of Christmas so instead I gave him a withering look and made him get me a different one as Day 16 had been opened.

My Liberty one arrived! Might go to Aldi tomorrow to see if there is a wine one left.....

I'm undecided about the Aldi one.
If only someone would buy it for me as a gift

The M&S one is out either this Sunday or next Wednesday, depending on which website you believe.
