Rachie1986 · 08/11/2017 21:44

Rachie1986 · 08/11/2017 21:45

Aridane I can only get the page about it coming soon when I look..

Rachie1986 · 08/11/2017 21:46

Ooops cross post. I see.
I think they indicated as of 9am tomorrow that price will drop if you add £35 of clothes/home in x

Aridane · 08/11/2017 21:51

Just spoke with Customer Services _ discount will be applied from midnight

Rachie1986 · 08/11/2017 21:52

Oh ok, interesting it is different to their tweet!
I'm going to store when it opens rather than online I think.

Aridane · 08/11/2017 21:52

How strange, Rachie - the calendar shows as available for me!

Aridane · 08/11/2017 22:10

M&S also have a L’Occitaneone for £49 - anyone got this one?

MotherofTerriers · 08/11/2017 22:32

Can you buy £70 worth of stuff from marks online and get 2 calendars or do you have to do it as two transactions I wonder?

Aridane · 09/11/2017 00:12

Hi,;mothers - have just purchased two calendars. However, had to put it through as two different transactions

Aridane · 09/11/2017 00:12

(Set alarm for midnight _ now going back to bed)

Motoko · 09/11/2017 01:11

Yay, got mine ordered. Luckily, husband wanted a couple of packs of socks, so that was £24 of the qualifying spend, then topped it up with a couple of presents for friends.
It was a little disconcerting seeing the Advent calender in the bag at £250 though. Double checked it got discounted before hitting the pay button!

MountainDweller · 09/11/2017 01:25

Lovely advent calendar aficionados, help please!

M&S calendar is in my basket ☺️ alongside 2 shirts for DH to appease my guilt! But it is staying there for now as I don’t know whether I’ll be able to get it home to France! Could some lovely person on this thread who is buying one in store tomorrow please post the measurements for me?

DH will be going to UK but is already bringing me back the Jo Malone calendar (yes I know I’m very lucky and it’s definitely a one off)). He has made it clear though that it’s a CHRISTMAS PRESENT so I thought I’d get the M&S one for actual advent. Not sure if both will fit in the case with adequate protection!

Look away if you don’t want spoilers (very small one), Alternative is to get it couriered, not expensive but nail varnish and perfume are on the universally banned list Sad so (long shot) if anyone is not saving it for advent maybe you could pm me which dates contain the perfume and nail polish? I’ve checked the contents list, seems to be one of each. Then I could get DH to remove them.

I have whinged about this before but I preordered the LF calendar and it is stuck in the warehouse. One email and 3 chat sessions with LF later and it’s still there. All the customer service people can say is that it’s being chased up. It will take 72 hrs, another 72 hrs, 48 hrs... ridiculous as I’m pretty sure I’m waiting for someone to press a button! I’m not holding out much hope of getting it. Certainly won’t be ordering from them again. I think someone here (maybe you chloechloe) said they had a bad customer service experience there - was it ever resolved?). If I get the M&S one I will just cancel it I think.

May need to take solace in a gin calendar except I am trying to lose weight!

LightastheBreeze · 09/11/2017 05:05

Got mine, bought the cheapish cotton trousers I had wanted, (20% off with Sparks), 3 for 2 Christmas decorations and socks for my £35 spends.

So not too difficult to spend the £35

Mrstrumpalot · 09/11/2017 05:17

@MirandaWest there are a couple of beauty ones on the Superdrug website. ( don’t know how to link unfortunately) at not too silly prices.

ilovecherries · 09/11/2017 06:52

Got one each ordered for me and DD. Last year we opened them together on Skype every morning :). DH has finally been allowed to have the work trousers, underpants and socks he's been whinging about needing for 6 weeks! Had to do two orders, though.

Kez0777 · 09/11/2017 07:08

I got mine but it was a big faff Angry it locked me out of my account as it said it didn’t know me Hmm so I then had to set one up in my husbands name, all fun and games at 1am! But I’ve got one and I’m so excited Grin I loved having one last year and having a little read of the contents this one sound even better. I spent the £35 on a toy present, wrapping paper and cards and some tights. All stuff I’ll be needing this month anyway Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 09/11/2017 07:53

So much for the "we will email you as soon as they arrive" eh? No sign of an email here!

Ordered mine and now DD1 can have the thermals she's needed for a week or so. I don't think that makes me a bad mother does it? Bit of cold won't hurt her! Grin

LavenderHills · 09/11/2017 08:10

@MountainDweller I had the Liberty calendar delivered to France with no issues at all. Maybe keep that option in mind for next year?

thenewstateswoman · 09/11/2017 08:25

I just ordered mine and helpfully all items had the tag saying order £35 of items to qualify for 35 beauty advent calendar. Purchased a black sweater for 35 which I’d had my eye on!

Rachie1986 · 09/11/2017 08:50

Went in store at 8am this morning and got mine.
Whoever wanted measurements - is it just the box? Happy to measure that but won't be until this evening now.. if it helps x

Hi mountaindweller. Yes it was me that had issues with LF. I'd ordered some Elemis bits for DH, a full size item and a couple of larger sample sizes. When it turned up the smaller sizes were clearly GWP items (which I assume illegal sell). Moreover the packaging they were in was all dirty and scrunched up and they'd been opened and tested!!!

The only way to get in touch with them was via an online form. They then insisted I send photos before allowing me to return it. This again had to be done via the online form which was a PITA to use. They were really lax at replying and I had to keep going through the stupid online form to contact them. I got a refund eventually though.

I never used them again until I got tempted by the calendar! It is really good I must say. You could just order another one and cancel this one? Probably be quicker but then you have the hassle of trying to get your money back.

Re the M&S calendar you could always get your DH to decant it Zane then select items lucky dip style for advent?

Annabelle4 · 09/11/2017 09:42

MountainDweller I can't understand why LF won't just send you a new one and forget about chasing your one. As far as I know they are still in stock on the website Confused
