Tis the season...

The first one I've seen actually for sale is the John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar. £149 with a great selection of products.
Ordered mine!

I sat on my hands for A LOT of these! I did however buy The Bomb Cosmetics one via Amazon. I loves a bath Grin

GinandGingerBeer · 27/10/2017 19:34

Got home from work to find a liberty calendar on the kitchen table from DH Grin
Can’t wait for 01 December 💅🏻💄

Pippin8 · 27/10/2017 19:36

The estimated date of delivery for my Liberty is Monday. Thankfully it’s my day off & DH is at work so be able to I’ll hide it 😂

I feel like getting a posh chocolate one aswell now.

Boysarebackintown · 28/10/2017 10:00

Loads of Boots ones in my local store yesterday - Stafford.

onelostsoulswimminginafishbowl · 28/10/2017 10:15

I had a call from SpaceNK a couple of days ago to say that they are launching on Wednesday - it’s by invite only but I think you just call them and ask?!

It’s a £250 spend in store for the calendar which is 12 Christmas crackers each with 2-3 products including a £50 voucher.

I’m justifying it by spending the £250 on all the Christmas pressies I need for my mum, mil and sil (plus some treats for myself!)

Housewife2010 · 28/10/2017 10:38

I ordered my Liberty at 11.55 pm on Tuesday and it arrived on Thursday. It's going to be my birthday present from my husband.

chloechloe · 28/10/2017 12:28

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hides stuff pippin! I'm tempted to get a chocolate one too.

I've ordered the ASOS grooming one for DH as he has his birthday in late November so will give that as part of his present. Has anybody seen it. There's not much info on the men's ones.

My Liberty one is on its way. I'm going to be good and not open it until December, although I've already checked the contents list to justify buying it!

TuckFrump · 28/10/2017 12:48

Has anyone had one from Selfridges before? Can't decide between that and Look Fantastic one.

I really wanted Elemis, but it says it's sold out even though it doesn't go on sale until November 1st.

mowglik · 28/10/2017 13:09

I am going to space nk tomorrow, I’ll ask them and save my purchases if they are doing the calendar thing this year. Don’t like the sound of it in xmas crackers though Angry, not really adventy enough for me. Hmm

Pippin8 · 28/10/2017 13:16

Liberty calendar arrived today despite the tracking saying Monday.

It was very well packaged & I was really excited opening the box! The inside print is lovely. I’ve disposed of the outer box and invoice & put it on display in the front room, which we never use.

I’m not even tempted to have a peek & will wait until 1st December. I think I’ll save the box & do one for someone else next year.

Motoko · 28/10/2017 16:09

I think I’ll save the box & do one for someone else next year.

I'm all for recycling, but won't they be disappointed to find it's not actually a Liberty advent calender?

Pippin8 · 28/10/2017 16:23

I was thinking of my granddaughter so I hope not.

Annabelle4 · 29/10/2017 08:26

I'm definitely going to get the Liberty one next year.

I have my Look Fantastic one on my bed side locker. It's just so pretty Grin
I can't wait until December.

Can anyone recommend kids' ones? I was thinking of getting them Lego friends?

BulletFox · 29/10/2017 08:31

Annabelle, serious self restraint. I had a quick Google on lego ones and it looks like plenty of them are around

YippieKayakOtherBuckets · 29/10/2017 08:32

Annabelle the Lego ones are always pretty good - they are doing Lego City, Friends, and Star Wars this year. Alternatively if you can still get hold of one then the Smiggle advent calendar always goes down well with my nieces.

I have got Friends for DD and Star Wars for DH. Liberty for me (birthday present for my November birthday). Everybody's happy.

Annabelle4 · 29/10/2017 08:35

Thank you both Smile

Cristiane · 29/10/2017 08:44

I have just bought this for my husband I think he will love it. The luxury of a new pair of gorgeous socks each day.

I now have a dilemma. Ordered the Boots no7 for myself, it arrived, and I suddenly realised what a great present it would be for my mums bday...and it's bloody sold out! I can't justify spending more than £40 on a replacement for myself or her bday present at the mo. Do I do the nice thing and just give it to mum?? WHY didn't I have more forethought and order 2??

Don't suppose anyone's seen them in store in the Essex/east London area?

BulletFox · 29/10/2017 09:00

Can you get the m&s one as well at £35 with a spend of £35...? Could take back the other item afterwards.

I'm not in the area, sorry, so no idea if there are No.7 ones here

BewareOfDragons · 29/10/2017 09:00

You can get the Lego calendars as part of the 3 for 2 offer on toys at Tesco at the moment...

LurkingQuietly · 29/10/2017 09:15

Thanks @BulletFox I had the m&s one last year and wasn't too mad on it to be honest but it's a possibility, thank you for replying!

Annabelle4 · 29/10/2017 09:33

Good to know BewareofDragons - thank you.

The Happy people (ELC at mothercare) look lovely too, but they're so expensive.
I'll dither for a few days, like I did with mine Wink

LurkingQuietly, I'm not in your area, but my sister bought me the No7 one for Christmas. She told me (and I know) that they are impossible to get anywhere since Friday. She got the last one in our town yesterday, and I've checked other stores stock online and they're all gone.
They're on eBay for twice the bloody price 😡

BewareOfDragons · 29/10/2017 09:38

I ordered my DH what looks like a lovely marzipan advent calendar, and good sized at 500g. He loves marzipan, but doesn't get it very often. I hope it's as lovely as it souns.

Lonelynessie · 29/10/2017 12:28

Dh treated me to the Liberty one yesterday as we were browsing in-store. The lovely sales woman told me they had sold out totally online and now they only had a few units left in store - and they were getting snapped up really fast (I think there were about 7/8 of us in the queue buying them, and there were around 10ish units left out).

I’d never usually buy anything that expensively but it’s a real treat, and I will actually use all the items in the calendar, unlike the M&S one where quite a few things got given away as they weren’t really things I’d use.

LurkingQuietly · 30/10/2017 15:30

I can’t believe it - I popped into a Boots near ish to me today for toothpaste and got...their last 2 no7 advent calendars! One for DM and one for MIL. They’re a little bit battered, but absolutely fine and intact. I cannot believe my luck!
