Ooh, Bluebell, Aromatics Elixir - love, love, love! Such a mossy, bitter green powerhouse of a scent. It reeks of sophistication to me but a little goes a very long way. It should have a warning: "Use sparingly!" on every bottle.
Cat I shall mourn for your L'Air de Rien with you. I got a sample of it in a Perfume Society box and it didn't do much for me at the time. I passed it on to to DD who was equally unenthusiastic and we both forgot about it. But mentions of it kept popping up from perfumistas with similar tastes to mine, so I gave it another try and found it weirdly lovely in a 1970s left-over hippie in a dusty kaftan fashion. So it is now on the wish-list and it is mostly because of you Judy.
MrsMac you need another Captured by Candlelight by Christmas time. Layering it over a coffee scent sounds inspired. I'm now kicking myself for not pouncing on 4160s Black Velvet Café when it was half-price. I thought it too dark for me but now I think it might pair perfectly with C by C.
SOTD is Frederic Malle Angélique Sous La Pluie from a Les Senteurs sample, which is beautiful and simple in a way which belies the cleverness behind it. It started off as green as a herb garden after a summer shower and has transformed gently into a blend of musk and spice. Sadly, I don't think it will be more than a couple of hours before it fades away altogether but it is a lovely creation.
Kittens sorry to diss Nina - I now feel as if I had kicked a kitten. I expect it is just a Pink Minger on me. I've noticed lots of PMs smell rather delicious on DD. Badders I do hope Agent Provocateur comes up to scratch for you.
Fingers crossed for you Sock and a nice stress-free, healthy day to all perfumistas and offspring.
