Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

Yay Amber

shop looking forward to seeing your new frames, they sound great.

Fab jacket Blingy, can really see you in it. Your Dsis would be flattered if you bought the bag again for yourself, I'm sure!

shopafrolic · 02/09/2017 22:06

Waves to Mara - am definitely planning on checking Arket out.
Is anyone watching Jonathan Ross? Suranne Jones looks fabulous.

shopafrolic · 02/09/2017 22:08

She's wearing this Goat jumpsuit with red shoes (Lucy choi I think). Slicked hair and red lipstick, so good.

shopafrolic · 02/09/2017 22:13

My new glasses
I also tried the new Chanel fragrance today, Gabrielle. I really liked it. So my question this evening....
What is your favourite fragrance?

shopafrolic · 02/09/2017 22:21

Or I could invest in this? Grin

AmberNectarine · 02/09/2017 22:59

Mine is Coco Mmselle, because it's what I wore when falling in love with DH, so it's really evocative for me.

Remainder of my top five is Balenciaga Florabotanica, V&R Flowerbomb, SL Opium Blanche Nuit and Jimmy Choo Illicit. Basically I like oriental florals! Just bought Angel Sucre, which I'm enjoying as it smells like a daiquiri!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 02/09/2017 23:36

thank you for the sympathies everyone, it sucks but i have to just make the best of what they are able to offer me from here on out. will see what happens and hope for the best

not sure about Arket for myself, have to be honest and say it might all be a bit...plain for my tastes, i don't have love a good pattern/print!

lovely links everyone

favourite fragrances? ooooh tough one. 1) would be YSL - Belle De Opium, which i first wore when i met Dp, its discontinued now though so im eeking out the last of what i have 2) Lolita Lempicka - Lolita Lempicka, reminds me of my Mum as she bought me my first bottle of it 3) Ghost - Deep Night reminds me of being pregnant and the twins being born as it's what i wore the most at that time. I always keep a bottle around 4) Chanel - Coco, just because i love it and 5) Body Shop - Oceanus because DS chose a tiny bottle of the oil for me when he went with his Grandma to buy me a present

DryWhiteagainW · 03/09/2017 08:41

Chanel No 19 and No 19 poudré. I like fresh/citrus scents. Ive worn it for years now.

Perfume is do evocative , I agree with Amber .
Anais anais reminds me of school, when I first started wearing perfume.
Paloma Picasso of a year at uni.
Coco Chanel when I started my first job and tried to be sophisticated. Femme de Rochas of my childhood, my mother wore it.
L'Air du Temps the Italian teacher at school.
Used to work with a woman who piled on Estée Lauder perfume every time she went to the loo......made me feel sick (still does)
A collegue wears a Jo Malone which is divine and I think of her whenever I smell it.
I walked past Penhalligons in London this summer and instantly recognised the scent if a woman from work, v distinctive, but strong.
There's another woman, who I don't really know well enough yet, but I'll evenyually work ut her distinctive signature scent........

DryWhiteagainW · 03/09/2017 08:50

Apologies that was a total ramble [Grin]

shopafrolic · 03/09/2017 08:55

I do remember asking this question a few years back - I wear Chanel Chance but after watching Gypsy on Netflix I'm starting to feel like it might be a bit young for me Blush hence looking for something new........

DryWhiteagainW · 03/09/2017 09:38

Did I ramble then Shop?

"Too young"?!!!!! Bit early to start with the Elizabeth Arden Shop

Longislandicetee · 03/09/2017 10:30

Morning! My favourite is Michael by Michael Kors. I only ever wear it for 2 months a year - the month we got married and the following month when we were away on honeymoon. It is a floral woody musk.

Currently on my dresser are jour d'Hermes (which is current favourite), a whole load from Diptique which i got with last year's advent calendar. They do some lovely perfumes. Also, a bottle of Woman by Hugo Boss which is a floral fruity spicy scent - but is a bit too much for me. It is the least like me. Others i have loved are Flowerbomb, J'Adore, Cerruti, Issey Miyake and Hanae Mori. My purse and travel scent is usually one of the mini Jo Malone bottles.

I got dh and dsil Tom Ford for Christmas and both love them. He smells divine when he is wearing his.

Back to school tomorrow which means of course we had a practice at getting up early, and still have our summer homework to finish for the day. Hmm

queencerulean · 03/09/2017 11:55

I gave up on perfume a few years ago but I was never massively into it. I've always loved anais anais and I also liked one of the Chanel ones, coco or chance, I can't remember which.

I've got a massive hangover. A proper full blown one where I even fear I could puke!

Love the Tom Ford tote. Absolutely love it.

You'd look fab in those flats QueenC

VivaVegas · 03/09/2017 13:23

Morning!
Has anyone bought anything nice at Whistles lately, they have sent me a £20 off a £100 spend and typically no time to get to a store before it expires tomorrow.
Have a Winter evening wedding do to go to do considering this http://www.whistles.com/women/clothing/dresses/wren-print-jersey-bodycon-26543.html?dwvarwren-print-jersey-bodycon-26543color=Navy%2FMulti#start=1 or this

MarshaBrady · 03/09/2017 19:03

Viva that looks ace for a winter wedding

QueenC really like those Lanvin flats

Shop love those glasses, I need some new ones might do the same and get oversized. I think very dark grey with grey skinnies. I'm not doing pistols this year, not sure what though.

Mara I didn't but saw somewhere that Lucinda Chambers had been asked to leave by the new guy, ouch. After a very long time at Vogue

Blingy love the coat

Bernice love the bag - the colour is fab and the Marant

Justa what a buy! Fabulous Joseph

Kitty poolside, you lucky thing! hope it's still wonderful and the weather is gorgeous, ie better than here!

Amber great bag

Fashion where I live is mixed, it can range from loads of Marant / APC at the school gate -depends on school- to just whatever, no labels. Now working in Sloane Sq for a bit and it's a good place for very slim women wearing stylish stuff mixed in with pretty nice stuff by everyone else
