Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

Forgot to add, i bought my second hand bag. A Mulberry Giselle by Luella Bartley. Like the Chloe Paddington, i always wanted one and saw one this morning that i liked.

The insurance thing has slight made me worry about my bag collection.Hmm

queencerulean · 21/10/2017 09:36

That’s a lovely bag blingy. Do your insurers not realise that even if you have a safe you won’t use it and you lose random items all over the house Grin
marsha I’ve got a work meeting on Monday but other than that we’re just chilling at home and then going to see Mil.
one great about the photos. I had one of mine picked once and it’s a great feeling!
I’m so tired at the moment, I only woke up at 9. I’ve had a mild headache for the past couple of days too and feel slightly snotty so think I’m fighting something off. Need to feel better later as out for cocktails!

OMG QueenC! This was MrBlingy an hour ago "I have to waste my time getting a safe installed that you will never use. You will still leave your jewellery carelessly all over the place"Grin

libertyonhertravels · 22/10/2017 05:17

V nice bag blingy. Why are you worried about them insurance wise? Quite hard to steal a big bag collection, jewellery much easier. Biggest risk is probably having enough cover in case of fire etc.

My OOTD is wide leg cotton patterned trousers from H&M with a navy kaftan and flip flops Smile

FedupNagging · 22/10/2017 07:46

Waves to Lib - lovely to hear from you; what a shame BA weren't up to scratch, very difficult when you're doing Lh.

Love the new bag Dry. Hope you're having a good weekend.

I saw the TS jumper on pin last night and knew it was yours Shop. So sorry your dm is having problems with the bank-hope you have it sorted now-great letter from Blingy

Justa your ootd sounded lovely - fab shoes.

Blingy you're a shocker with all your lovely bling and bags - think you should let me look after it, I'd keep it safe Grin

We're headed into town today with dgc to do a bit of culture stuff - I love museums so hoping to pass this on! Can't face the Lego movie but may have to cave later in the week!

Stokey · 22/10/2017 08:23

Fedup the Wonderlab at the Science Museum is fab but you have to pay for it. For little ones, the basement there has great activities. My girls also loved the V&A, they have brilliant activities in half term including pop up plays and is always far more chilled than NHM & Science.

Amazing bags Blingy. We're still processing our burglary from May half term. Have had to stick spikes over the garden gate and get a new lock for the kitchen door. And some bugger nicked my veg box on Thursday - possibly the most hipster theft!

Hope you feel better QueenC Flowers. I went out two nights in a row last week (both longstanding arrangements) and have been blocked up ever since. I wore a blue Zara midi peasant dress with red embroidery that I bought on the Trinny FB page from the lovely Ujjayi. Think it's one of those ones that lots of bloggers have. Not quite sure what shoes work with it though, feel like I need some clogs or slouchy suede boots.

Oh and thanks again for the boots tip Shop & Justa. I got both resoled yesterday and they feel mush more solid.

Also bought a red jumper from &OS. I'm on phone so can't link but it's got bat wing sleeves & am very happy with it. Think they're opening two new shops near me, one in Kings Cross & one in Westfield Stratford which I'm pleased about. Now just need to find time to shop!

Everyonelovessparkles · 22/10/2017 09:01

Lovely grey bag dry, looks a good size too.

blingy Grin re the bling safe! Nice bag too. Shame about the marmonts. What would you wear the velvet Prada shoes with?

Well done one on the photos. Hope you are feeling a bit better.

Sounds like you have a busy week planned marsha.

fedup hope you enjoy your week with the DGC.

lib sounds like you are enjoying your time in Thailand Smile

Went out last night in town with some friends. Wore my monsoon star print shirt (saw a similar YSL one on the outnet), Black pleated skirt and black suede ankle boots with my Ted Baker leather biker jacket. Was pleased with the outfit as it felt suitable (not sure if that’s the right word, but it felt reasonable stylish and on trend etc).

Thinking of getting this leopard star jumper as want something red and think this might be a classic.

Longislandicetee · 22/10/2017 09:07

Lib your ootd Envy. I am actually going to be in your neck of the woods tomorrow but will be suited and booted. Normally on this trip, I would wear my Atwood caged sandals. Sob.

Thanks for the half term tips Stokey. I am not here for 4 days so that's where I might point the nanny and kids.

You're right, no one is going to run off with the bags. In fact, we got burgled once and I had a Prada and Gucci bag in the hallway, they picked them up and then run up the road with them and dropped them about 2 doors away once they had taken the money out of them. They clearly weren't very fashion conscious burglars!

FedUp Grin

So I bought my Christmas advent calendar last night. Last year I got the Diptique one. This year I have got the L'occitaine luxury one. Am also very tempted to get the Jo Malone one Grin

libertyonhertravels · 22/10/2017 09:09

Great jumper everyone.

Longislandicetee · 22/10/2017 09:10

I like the jumper Everyone.

Marie Claire article on best beauty advent calendars. I want them all!

Stokey · 22/10/2017 10:59

Great jumper Everyone

Can't believe I forgot to say hello to Lib and envy your OOTD. I think a lot of the big airlines have cut all corners on their economy long haul. DM was appalled by Emirates this summer which used to be quite good, also inedible food.

Very tempted by an advent calendar Blingy, thanks for the link.

Not sure what to get for the DDs either. They've loved the Playmobil ones the last couple of years, and take great pleasure in setting up a Xmas scene every day. But Dd1 is about to turn 8 so was thinking she may prefer Smiggle.

MarshaBrady · 22/10/2017 13:47

Love the Bella Freud jumper Everyone, I've always wanted to get one of those

Browsing through Matches. Really want to buy something with the voucher.

So honestly can padded coats look stylish? Not sure they're are for me. But I want to be snuggly and really WARM this winter and my usual wool coats don't feel that appealing, as lovely as they are.

I also avoid fur, which cuts out many warm ones.

Is this hideous? Boring? Ok but not worth it?

Burberry quilted

shopafrolic · 22/10/2017 16:14

OK but not worth it Marsha
Can you wear that colour? Never seen you in it.
If you want quilted then Sleep recommended Arcteryx as a brand last year and I love the coat I bought.

shopafrolic · 22/10/2017 16:18

But they don’t sell it on Matches.....

MarshaBrady · 22/10/2017 16:28

Thanks Shop, I thought so too

MarshaBrady · 22/10/2017 16:29

Cool I'll check it out

Dreamqueen · 22/10/2017 17:41

Marsha I have this www.aigle.com/en_uk/cuckmerry-66443.html Aigle coat. It's v warm and very neutral. ( not stylish but not awful either)

Glad to hear that you're having a good time Lib.

Shop say your yoga pics and have serious envy at how flexible you are.

Everyone love the ring, hope you enjoy waering t. it's beautiful.

Great bag Dry

Blingy having to use a safe is a PITA but with your amount of bling I can understand why insurance says necessary. If I dont want to put my everyday stuff in the safe I use the fake baked bean and soup "safe" tins to sort of hide stuff in. (Not sure that makes any sense. Been to lunch on gin.)

Apologies to anyone I've missed out. Haven't really caught up.

shopafrolic · 22/10/2017 18:19

Thanks Dream i’m loving it. Only been doing that class for six weeks and only started yoga in mexico so am thrilled at how far I’ve got. Also nice to have found something I can do despite my bad knees Grin

Longislandicetee · 22/10/2017 18:47

I agree with Shop that Burberry jacket is not you at all Marsha.

I have a Jack Wolfskin jacket that dh bought me randomly as a present once. I didn't appreciate it at the time but that jacket is amazing! Can be worn on the coldest of days and keeps the elements out.

Longislandicetee · 22/10/2017 18:50

Dream mine is all in random pots and to dh's despair the real stuff and the fake stuff is all dumped together and mixed as one. Shop was suitably horrifie last week! Grin

shopafrolic · 22/10/2017 19:32

I was Blingy. I was.
And don't remind me about the YSL sweater 🙈

AmberNectarine · 22/10/2017 19:36

I chuck all my jewellery in together - nothing lives in boxes. Earrings will be randomly deposited in handbags etc. Don't have too much of great value but the few pieces I do are £££.

I'm the same with handbags, all lobbed in together - only thing I'm precious about are shoes!

shopafrolic · 22/10/2017 19:45

Hey Amber :)

Longislandicetee · 22/10/2017 22:00

Grin Poor Shop. She saw my £600 ysl sweater crumpled on its hanger and almost passed out. In her wardrobe, everything looks beautiful. I can only aspire to be so organised!

Longislandicetee · 22/10/2017 22:01

Oh and big wave to Amber hope you're alright. You've been v quiet. As has Blair as well.
