Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

Hey Dream welcome back :)
Lib so thrilled to see you posting, was worried you'd disappear.
I've just been to get my hair cut - 3 inches off the bottom - feels good.

shopafrolic · 18/10/2017 16:50

Love that jumper QueenC
I was watching the George Michael doc last night. I'd forgotten about my love affair with Linda E and how she started my love of the chunky roll neck :)

justasecond · 18/10/2017 17:35

I watched that last night too shop Christy was my favourite super. My DH is very strange in that in all the years I have known him he has never admitted to thinking any other woman, celeb or non celeb to be attractive. I kept badgering him to admit Christy was beautiful but he still wouldn't, what a weirdo! I, on the other hand openly drool over my tv crushes Smile

Well, the Gucci Marmonts arrived and I love them! I think they suit my style better than the loafers which I still love but were a little austere in black I would love a pair in red though.
Welcome back dream
lib totally agree with you re BA. We flew with them in the summer and it was awful. Especially the food, none of us touched it, wouldn't have served it to an animal! Glad you have arrived safely though x

MarshaBrady · 18/10/2017 20:09

I rarely rant online but I need to say something somewhere.

BLOODY VIRGIN MEDIA

We moved in over a month ago and they keep pushing our broadband back. Due to some imaginary construction issue which does not exist. They just said it will be another two weeks Sad Sad

I also rarely loathe companies but I REALLY LOATHE THEM. It's costing me a fortune to have some basic connection on my phone.

Do not go with Virgin Media.

I don't even think that looking at pretty links will help me right now. I will do something breathing exercises and come back and catch up.

Everyonelovessparkles · 18/10/2017 20:11

Great to hear from you lib. Sorry to hear about your flight problems (agree that BA isn’t what it was) but hope you have a lovely time now you’ve arrived.

Glad you like the marmonts justa. They do look fab.

Welcome back dream. Hope you had a nice time.

Sorry to hear about the school event queenc though i’m Sure you looked fine.

shop I love that feeling after a good hair cut. I had mine cut the other week and just didn’t get it. Don’t think she took enough off. Not impressed for the price but too much of a wuss to say so. Blush

DryWhiteagainW · 18/10/2017 21:11

I've got it at last

I ACTUALLY love Bernice for finding me a stonking great discount code.

I give you, friends, my long lusted after grey bag

Sqeeeeeeeeeeee

Now I'm going to catch up.......

DryWhiteagainW · 18/10/2017 21:32

Right, I'm caught up now.

Shop your poor mother. That's ages ago. It's disgusting that they've taken so long to address this. Great stuff from Blinngy
Your visit to Chateau Bling sounds fabulous.
Liberty amazing to hear from you from such exotic location.....
QueenC please please have faith in yourself. Inwardly you feel that your style for this school isn't right but, honestly, outwardly you always look fantastic and I guarentee that many mother will have looked at your outfit admiringly. I always envy people who can look so cool and casual, it's not my natural style.

And that APC blouse is so divine I could weep.......I need it don't I ? I need strength to resist, or another big discount ......keep your eyes peeled people Smile

queencerulean · 18/10/2017 22:10

Ah dry thank you for saying so. I guess deep down I don’t feel good enough for private school (I went to a local comp) and feel an imposter! So happy you got the bag!
lib it makes total sense actually about people coming after work as it was at 6.30.

Good haircuts are the best. Mines being done on Friday and can’t wait as it’s got to that limp stage and I can hardly see out of my fringe. I envy people who can go months without a trim but by week 7 mine is desperate!

marsha sorry you’re having so many probs with virgin. We have them and so far all has been fine.

Welcome back dream

everyone do you keep looking at your hands to admire the bling?

OP posts:
justasecond · 18/10/2017 23:05

ooh love your bag dry I do love a grey bag!
queenc you are a gorgeous stylish woman whatever you wear. Flowers

Marsha hope Virgin media pull their finger out soon, sounds very frustrating.

I realised I never do an ootd, so today was these dark green tory burch trousers I bought them in Bicester for a bargain price a few months ago. Silk printed bold floral sweatshirt from Raoul with these nicholas kirkwood flats I have worn these so much they seem to go with everything and are very comfortable. The only thing is they are quite delicate and look quite worn already. I will probably get another pair next spring if matches send me another code

libertyonhertravels · 19/10/2017 01:17

Wow justa your ootd sounds fabulous. Great news on the Marnonts. I loved them when I saw mara in them just before I left.

Great bag dry definitely cartwheel worthy Grin

Shop hair sounds good.

Just getting up here. Gym gear on to make sure I go after breakfast.

Marsha I have a vague memory of Virgin being seriously annoying when we moved 11 years ago. So bad we switched to Sky!

DryWhiteagainW · 19/10/2017 06:49

Sorry Shop what are you doing to your hair?

shopafrolic · 19/10/2017 07:58

Morning all

Marsha annoying - I had similar with BT - they are all shite IMO
Dry I've had it chopped to collarbone length - 2 / 3 inches off. Nice bag :)
Lib gym sounds good. I made huge progress in my Ashtanga yoga last night so am feeling chuffed today

MarshaBrady · 19/10/2017 08:59

Morning, Thanks for sympathy, feeling not so crazy now, as dh says it's only broadband. Still infuriating, especially as they can keep pushing back the date as long as they like and we have no control over it. Plus it takes me longer to look at links - argh the ultimate, don't they know re vogue.

Shop completely agree they are all crap. BT doesn't fill me with hope either. I hope you get good results re your mother's rip off, that is a huge amount. She must be very worried

Bernice I love those links for you very much, you're great at finding the perfect style, even at 3am

Everyone how exciting re the ring, love that you wear it every day, you absolutely should. Very pretty

Lib great news you've arrived, I bet you're feeling ultra relaxed already. How terrible re BA food, they used to be known to be better at that kind of stuff, what a shame. Agree on Virgin, all (annoying) style no substance.

Stokey great boots, great style for you

Dream welcome back!

Justa excellent re the Gucci, how exciting

QueenC I need my haircut too, but running out of time before half time, might try to book it in

I didn't watch GM, but the supers were great weren't they. Not sure who my favourite was, but they were v impressive in that video

shopafrolic · 19/10/2017 18:00

My nieces are over from Holland so I took them and my DSIL to Westfield. They shopped up a storm in TopShop, Victoria Secrets, Urban Outfitters, Berschka etc while I felt v old Grin

I bought this sweatshirt. I already have the white tee with the same logo but loved the colour of this and clearly I can never have too many sweatshirts Blush
These pointed red boots were fab and just the right side of slutty but I have nowhere to wear them and they aren't leather.
I also picked up a charcoal merino rollneck and some thermals in Uniqlo but no point linking those.

DryWhiteagainW · 19/10/2017 20:41

Welcome to my world Shop, but shopping with teenaged girls keeps you up to date , even though you'd never wear it Grin

queencerulean · 19/10/2017 21:11

dry does your dd still shop with you? Mine just wants to be with friends!

OP posts:
Longislandicetee · 19/10/2017 21:49

Evening. After a few tough days, dd is recovered. Phew!

I now have first world problems...our insurance company have just told us they will stop insuring us in 30 days time if we don't get a safe installed for my bling.Shock

shopafrolic · 20/10/2017 08:05

Glad DD is better now Blingy TBH I'm surprised the insurers have taken this long to specify it.
Off to the bank this morning. Wish me luck.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/10/2017 09:32

Glad DD is feeling better blingy

Good luck at the bank Shop give them hell!!!

I'm feeling pretty chuffed as one of my instagram photos has been featured on TWO different photography instagram accounts! this has never happened before and i just feel so pleased about it. they have properly credited me for the photo and everything so it's obvious that it belongs to me Smile

OOTD is black tights, deep pink courduroy knee length a line skirt, black Joy Division Tee and a black cotton cardigan. Will add calf length black DM boots and a long grey wool and cashmere coat later when i go out. It's now cold and rainy enough for me to get out my 'big' coat

libertyonhertravels · 20/10/2017 12:21

I'm surprised too that the insurers haven't asked before blingy. Annoying though as more faff to get it out every day I imagine...unless there are specific jewellery safes available with drawers etc.

Well done on the photography credits one.

Our hotel in Bangkok is beside a huge shopping centre with loads of high end shops. I had a lovely evening yesterday stroking pretty things in Chloe, Gucci, LV etc. Had a massage today and lots of reading by the pool. Have been disgracefully non cultural this visit, all we have done is window shop, sunbathe and eat!

shopafrolic · 20/10/2017 13:49

Investment bag article
Well done One I loved your recent pics on the rainy day :)
Sounds fabulous Lib

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/10/2017 14:06

thank you shop and lib i'm tryigno ake a lot more photos at the minute to practice getting nice shots and its nice to know its paying off

Sounds amazing lib i could definitely do with a massage!!!!!

queencerulean · 20/10/2017 14:27

blingy saw these and thought of you

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 20/10/2017 17:10

Sounds pretty idyllic to me Lib!

Nice one One

What's everyone up to for half term?

My parents are here so we've got loads booked, country visits, shows and a trip to Paris. Packed schedule and looking forward to it.

Longislandicetee · 21/10/2017 08:14

Morning everyone!

Update on last week's purchases. The red Gucci Marmont weren't me. They were just a bit too clompy. I was gutted because they're beautiful shoes. Anyway, beautiful as they are, they are going back. The Prada Velvet shoes are gorgeous too but I am not 100% sure they suit me either, so i will try them again and they might go back. Dry, made a good point that the best shoes that suit me are the ones that go with my dainty frame. Hadn't looked it that way, but it's a spot on observation. Sadly!

Lib, so good to hear from you babe. X

QueenC those shoes that you linked for me are very similar to a Russel & Bromley pair that i already own (but they are opened toed version). Good spot. I thought of you this week as we had parents evening, and was looking at what the other parents were wearing. I realised that most of us had come from work and so we were in work togs. The

One that's awesome news, well done!

Welcome back Dream, I could do with a holiday myself right now. I have spent the last 2 weeks trying to book a February half term holiday. Truly the most frustrating experience. We have never been skiing as a family and left it really late to book and can't find the right hotel. Normally it's so straight forward but this one has been nightmarish! Because i have no idea what i am doing

Marsha, I feel your pain.

Shop, how did it go with the bank yesterday?

The insurance company thing so annoying. We stupidly hadn't updated them for a long time. They also insist that my engagement ring has to be valued because its been 12 years since it was last valued, and that it will have risen in value. As you said Shop, admin crap that I could do without!
