Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

Quiet here today.

Here's a question:
How long could you go without wearing the same outfit twice? but you can wear items twice, just with something different I did it once, lasted 6 weeks, would be interested to do it again as it made me make more of an effort to abe creative with my clothes. Reckon I could go for a long time. Until christmas? 83 sleeps

Serenite · 02/10/2017 23:45

A dark grey bag sounds gorgeous Dry, I'm looking forward to hearing about the selection/decision. I can't imagine how long I could go without wearing the same outfit twice 🤔 It would certainly be a great thing to aid me in my current 'clear out' - I've kind of left the clothes/scarves (😱)/ etc etc after feeling overwhelmed - there's just so much stuff! And trying to put things on eBay means things get cleared out very slowly - mjndcyoj ive not put anything on eBay yet, I've that delight still in front of me. So I don't like feeling overwhelmed so I moved on to sorting out kitchen cupboards 👌 It's more easily achieved but the clothes will have to be addressed sometime, somehow. It's an annoying niggle all the time in the back of my mind. So actually wearing clothes that I don't tend to might help address this. Must give it some thought!! Is it something you're going to try again? By the way I think I remember Nancy having her own chair??
I've never tried any By Terry product but they consistently get brilliant reviews - I could do with a good under eye concealer/lightener so I'll look that one up Shop. I bought the candle glow one from Laura Mercier and, although I love most if her products, wasn't impressed at all. I tend to stick to Bobbi Brown corrector by itself but something recommended is always good. Been looking at the hourglass powders too - I use Guerlain Meterorites everyday and have the LM candle glow powder so I'm not sure these would add anything new, does anyone use them? Imagine 83 sleeps!!!!

AmberNectarine · 03/10/2017 01:45

Honestly dry, I don't think I wear the exact same outfit to work once a year. On my days off I wear a variation on a theme every day!

AmberNectarine · 03/10/2017 01:48

Blimey serenite, you have been around a while if you remember the AW bag debacle! Turned out to be suboptimal in the durability stakes, that bag!

Lots to update on, but under the cosh at work - organising a big event tomorrow (well, today really) - will re-engage on the other side!

shopafrolic · 03/10/2017 08:10

Serenite I use LM secret concealer for under eye and highly recommend.
The Touche Veloutée is for around my nose, chin, and evening out skin tone - it has a beautiful consistency.
I also use Hourglass powders and can highly recommend :)

Longislandicetee · 03/10/2017 09:15

Dry I think I could go till almost Christmas using a different handbag each dayGrin Outfits - god no idea. Don't even want to think about it!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/10/2017 09:33

Morning!

Shop I use the LM secret concealer too and agree, it's great.

It would be easy to go to Christmas on different outfits (just thinking of work days) - 10 jumpers, 10 skirts, 100 outfits Shock it's quite bad when I think about it like that!

OOTD is red boots again, this time with black opaques, navy wrap midi skirt, and navy ribbed turtleneck jumper.

shopafrolic · 03/10/2017 10:54

Not sure how long I could go - I don't have a huge wardrobe so I repeat a lot.
The Jensens have arrived! I adore them. Yay!! Now I've just got to sweet talk DH to let me wear them now and not wait until my birthday.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 03/10/2017 11:53

i could probably go up to a year maybe without wearing the exact same outfit twice Blush as much as ive cut down on buying, i still have an awful lot of clothes!

shopafrolic · 03/10/2017 16:08

In other news the Me&em trousers arrived yesterday - really like them, great for slouchy days. Weirdly though, one leg was longer than the other on the size 12 so I am having to return and wait for a replacement pair! CS was excellent but how weird!

Serenite · 03/10/2017 17:24

That's weird Shop and a hassle to return them and wait for new ones - they are lovely, look like they'd have a nice drape. What colour of jensons did you go for? Fab boots, do you have long to wait until your birthday?
Blair I love the sound of the ootd and that skirt is gorgeous.
Thank you and Shop for recommending the LM secret concealer. I've actually never tried it, was put off by someone telling me it was hard to blend under eyes, so I'll reconsider that!

With the hourglass powders is anyone quite pale - I nearly always use Bobbi Brown shimmer brick as highlighting products - maybe I'm stuck in a rut!! Do you think the hourglass powders are that good for all over and highlighting? I've seen the beautiful palettes on SNK too and I'm tempted. I guess no matter what the consensus is I'm actually have to go into the shop to try them (don't do a lot of real life shopping these days but it would be good for me to start again!)
One that is a lot of clothes and Amber too - it is probably weird for a stranger to say oh I remember about the AW bag but I've been reading (and replicating) for a long time, I've always loved this thread💕 What do you both do with storage? Are you feeling a little better One?
I loved your 'bag of the day' until Christmas Bling, that's very funny!

shopafrolic · 03/10/2017 18:03

I think Secret Camouflage is the one that is tough to blend under eyes Serenite
In terms of Hourglass I am quite pale but would definitely try before buying - they are too £££ to get wrong
I got the Jensens in the black pebbled leather
Sounds like you're rocking your red boots Blair - I love it when a new buy works hard :)

Serenite · 03/10/2017 18:51

Aaahhh!!! It's like a lightbulb moment 😉 I'll have to go into SNK and try that out and look at those powders too - not exactly a hardship!! The Jensons in black are fab, stylish and current but classic too, I can imagine you'll rock them as much as Blair in her gorgeous red ones 👌

Everyonelovessparkles · 03/10/2017 19:59

Given all the boot love on here at the moment, I'm quite tempted by these slouch boots I didn't wear my knee boots at all last year as I just felt a bit frumpy and ankle boots don't always work, so though these might fill the gap. However not sure if they have longevity or just a one season wonder?

blair I have a 20% off code for Ralph Lauren, did you get one? If not and you've see anything, PM me and I can send it to you.

Saw some nice things on the outnet but just a bit out of my price range.

bernice we are going back to menorca for the third year adventurous as it just has everything we want and is pretty reasonable.

Everyonelovessparkles · 03/10/2017 20:09

Meant to say glad the boots and trousers are both keepers shop, weird about the leg length of the trousers though.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/10/2017 20:58

Thanks everyone! I just looked and I didn't get it Hmm I'll have a look and let you know if I decide to order Flowers I have got an excellent, sadly unique, Matches code though - £100/£200/£300 off £300/£600/£900 - anyone else got it?

Those slouch boots look really good - comfy and stylish.

So glad the Jensens are keepers Shop, they're so you. I hardly ever buy really trendy items so it feels good to have the red boots.

Does anyone have any highish-end (Lululemon, Sweaty betty) workout gear? Am thinking of treating myself to some nice running things especially a pair of decent leggings, which I'm going to tell myself are also everyday athleisure wear.

shopafrolic · 03/10/2017 21:07

I've got several bits from SB Blair I really rate their zero gravity leggings. £££ but really good.

DryWhiteagainW · 03/10/2017 21:33

Blair SB is brilliant stuff, never wears out. And I think gym kit is worth spending on if you're into fashion.........makes you feel so much better even if you don't really sweat if you look nice. Lycra is traumatic at the best of times Hmm

libertyonhertravels · 03/10/2017 21:54

Blair all my gym kit comes from TKMaxx and a couple of bits from Nike which are over 10 years old and still look good.

shopafrolic · 04/10/2017 09:45

Good morning Voguettes!
How is everyone today?
My Woolovers crewneck arrived quickly and fits well. A total basic and not very exciting but good quality so I thought it was still worth mentioning.
DH has taken the Jensen's and hidden them away until my birthday, I'll be counting the sleeps like miniShop does before a playdate Grin
Gutted not to have got the Matches code Blair as it would have been v handy for the Jensen purchase but I checked and none of the retailers do the grain leather so it could hurt more...

libertyonhertravels · 04/10/2017 15:39

But your birthday isn't for ages shop Shock. Angsting here on your behalf.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/10/2017 16:16

Thanks all :) shop I looked at the zero gravity ones and annoyingly I think they'd be too long, and the crops too short. Dry oh I sweat loads, I'm really quite unfit but better than I was. Lib so far all mine comes from sports direct!
Anyway I did a bit of research and found a brand called Athleta which it seems is owned by Gap, which gets good reviews. I also have a SB near me so might pop in there or may order some things online to try.

Shop that's a shame, if they'd had the pebbled ones I would have offered to use the code for you! But it's always better to get something that's perfect rather than make do, even if it costs a bit more.

shopafrolic · 04/10/2017 16:37

They do two leg lengths in the full length versions Blair?

shopafrolic · 04/10/2017 16:37

That wasn't a question - that was a statement - there are crops, and then the leggings come in two lengths......

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/10/2017 16:49

Ooh ok I'll look again, more closely this time Grin I need 27-28 inch length for them not to be too long.
