Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

little I have some &OS chelsea boots from a couple of years ago, they are very comfy and great quality. I am also going on a waterproof-requiring holiday in a couple of weeks, I will be aiming to complement with great knitwear Grin

Blingy love seeing how many knitted dresses you're buying! They are all gorgeous and very you. The Oscar one is beautiful too.

I remember seeing Marsha's red boots at a MU, definitely ahead of the trend.

Lib it's lovely hearing how you're spending your days atm, you sound so chilled. Have you worn the cardigan yet? :)

FedupNagging · 01/10/2017 14:16

How could I forget those gorgeous boots Marsha?! I saw them at a MU earlier this year.

littlered I can't work out which boots you mean as the whole page is linked, however, I've found the sparkly trainers and they're lovely.

Lib, what a combination, you've only yourself to blame........Grin hope you feel more human soon.

Leather jacket is ordered plus a few other bits from Mango - will link what I keep as really need to go and walk the dog before it starts raining again.

shopafrolic · 01/10/2017 14:32

Blingy lush bag and can so see you in those dresses
Never thought I'd see Bay City Rollers on MNV
I can't open the &OS link it takes me to a search page but if it is the pointed Chelsea boots then I have them in stone and they are fab - size up.
DH has just bought me the Acne Jensens for my birthday next month. I hope they fit and don't make my feet look too big.

queencerulean · 01/10/2017 16:34

shop I need to start compiling my birthday list too!! I'm with you on the culottes-love them too but never found a pair that flatters.
Lovely dresses blingy. And bag.

I'm lusting after something velvet, preferably raspberry/burgundy type colour. Haven't found anything yet though.

shopafrolic · 01/10/2017 16:56

I saw these and thought of you QueenC
There's loads of velvet at Zara this season including fab velvet hoodies, loafers and kimonos.

shopafrolic · 01/10/2017 16:57

I'm off to SpaceNK tomorrow - what have been Voguette's best buys from there recently please?

Serenite · 01/10/2017 17:11

Hi everyone
Lovely purchases and links, I've been reading with glee as I love shopping vicariously - I'm not a great shopper confidence wise so I love getting style ideas here. Also I don't know the trick of how to link so I can reply to what people have posted - do you just remember everyone and or is there a technique? Maybe it's because I'm not so familiar with names and am posting in a rush. Loved those boots, the JL shoes, the jumpers, the dresses, the bag 💕 all the style!! I went to buy the Gucci belt but they only had brown/silver so decided to wait - feeling like a Saint 😇 My little boy has a few Gucci belts - an indulgence at 2yrs but it makes me happy and looks so cute (with Asda jeans🤣) Saw that chanel does belts recently and am tempted, has anyone seen them in real life?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/10/2017 19:00

shop have you seen these red boots from Whistles? Love the zip.

Serenite I think we are all just very familiar with each other, yes! It comes with time :)

I have a big shopping trip planned next weekend with my Dsis after her exams. I've somehow got a huge list, can't wait Grin

shopafrolic · 01/10/2017 19:39

Not so keen on those Blair but thanks - they look a little too chunky. I have to call of the red boot hunt if the Acne Jensen's are any good. Can't justify any further footwear Grin
Serenite as Blair said it comes with time and also meet ups. Once you've met Voguettes you can picture what works for each other. Plus lots of us have been chatting on here for years now. Is it nearly 5?

DryWhiteagainW · 01/10/2017 19:41

Serenite sometimes I make a list on actual paper Shock of all the comments about links!

Littlered I'd like to see those star trainers as I need to re place mine.

Blingy I r early love both knitted dresses, you do casual dresses so well. Will you wear them with your Lowlands?

Stokey I started ft 3 years ago. You eventually get into the sw I got of it and develop a routine that's totally messed up during holidays a cleaner helped so much.
And I love those culottes. I fact the black polo neck and flat knee boots with them......I could really do that look if I were brave enough. Are they flattering on the derrière ?

QueenC I love that dress for you

Keep trying to buy, but keep returning stuff Hmm I took DH shopping today happened once every 10yrs! I hate shopping with him, the feeling is mutual he was quite enthusiastic, even encouraging me to try stuff on saying "yo this is really very you"" Shock he's on antibiotics, must be doing something to his brain Grin

And Blair PM at last . I w as reminded that Mnetting whilst cooking is dangerous.....as I was typing all about bathrooms totally forgot about my roast lamb and set all the smoke detectors on!!!!!!!!!

DryWhiteagainW · 01/10/2017 19:43

How long do you keep your fashion trainers? Think my gazelles need binning ...... Stans still going strong

Longislandicetee · 01/10/2017 20:45

Thank you for the dress and bag love!

I got news a few days ago of a promotion at work. After my health woes over the last year, together with a pretty crap time at work over the last 4 months (let's just say that i have earned that promotionHmm) i decided to live a little and spend some money on pretty things. I have about 30 pins on a secret Pinterest board that i am revisiting but trying not to go nuts so it goes under dh's radar.Grin

Omg Dry thank you for your question, you have really got me thinking about shoes and what will happen when it gets colder. Normally my winter shoe staple during the week are my Russell & Bromley shoe boots. I don't think i am well enough to just do flats or block heels all A/W, so i will definitely be wearing the heck out of the lowlands when it gets colder. I might need one other pair of flat boots.

Serenite, i am totally rubbish at remembering every link, so tend to just focus on the ones that i remember best. But as others have said, the more you chat to people on here, the better that you remember who linked what. I also tend to keep the links open on the ipad. We sound like such saddos don't we??!!

queencerulean · 01/10/2017 21:09

shop love those and have lusted over velvet boots but have to accept that they're not very practical. I already have velvet shoes and they're definite taxi shoes.
dry I keep them until they look too battered or get worn down that they're no longer comfy. My keds have had it but I'm loving my 3 news pairs of trainers
serenite agree with others. Once you have met it's easier to visualise people in stuff but we've spent far too many hours on here discussing clothes. I never remember all the links either.

Everyonelovessparkles · 01/10/2017 21:31

Congratulations on the promotion blingy. Nice purchases to celebrate. Can see you in those dresses (and the Oscar de la rents one!)

Hope the boots are keepers shop, have you tried them on in store?

Nice dress queenc. We've also
Booked our holiday our next year! Out first experience of school holiday booking and prices! couldn't believe it was almost fully booked already and the price hike ShockHmm.

blair hope the bathroom plans are coming on. I really want a new kitchen next year but feel I am underestimating the cost and hassle.....

stokey the green tshirt is lovely. I never think about MD as somewhere to look but it seems quite reasonable despite the £ price hike and looks like they have some good stuff, so will have a proper perusal of their website.

dry well done for braving shopping with your DH. I can't think of anything worse than taking my DH shopping with me. Smile

fedup how were the JL Chloe dupes?

lib that made me laugh about your DH and the Gucci belts in duty free Grin .

A very style free weekend here but lots of nice autumn walks with the DC. I love autumn. Hope everyone has had a nice weekend.

libertyonhertravels · 01/10/2017 21:50

It was a rookie error everyone I really should know better. He's a happier person when he doesn't know the price of things Wink

Fedup yes entirely my own fault. Am still suffering. My dad is lethal to go out with - insists brandy is the way to go when you can't fit in more beer/wine Shock

Blair the Cos cardigan has been such a good purchase. Have worn it loads. I'm actually really happy with my packing for Ireland. I'll do a little capsule review/round up shortly as I feel I have cracked how to do SAHM in Autumn in about 19 items including shoes and scarves (not including jewellery).

shopafrolic · 01/10/2017 21:59

No Everyone I haven't tried them on but their online CS gave me sizing advice and it's free delivery and returns. Fingers crossed Smile

Longislandicetee · 01/10/2017 22:11

Ha at your dad Lib!

I actually enjoy going shopping with dh because he has a really good eye. Never happens though with kids etc.

This weekend I have booked a trip to go and see Santa in Lapland. £2k for one sodding dayShock. I have also finally decided where we are skiing in Feb, since dh won't let us go with Sleep who kindly offered to let us tag along! Am a long way off from sorting out our summer hols!

DryWhiteagainW · 01/10/2017 22:47

Have just ordered these loafers with 20% off for work ......think they'll work work with skirts/dresses and opaques as well as trousers.........have discovered that patent is great for lazy shoe polishers like me.......or is there something I don't know.

P.s I know my saving up for bag purchase is not going well!

Serenite · 02/10/2017 01:08

Gorgeous shoes Dry, they look perfect for what you'll wear them for - did you order in black or plum? Either colour is beautiful and very adaptable. What bag are you saving for now or is just a bag fund for when I see the right one? I remember loving the excitement around getting your disco - it's still a fab bag, so simple and easy to wear.
I looked again at your new bag Bling and I love it. There something very luxurious about suede and the style/colour is beautiful. I love coloured bags, I actually have very few black (which made the loss of that Chanel all the more annoying - was a 'useful' bag).
And I don't think you ladies are saddos - if anything it's me!!! I've been reading here since the thread started!! I laughed when Amber mentioned her Alexander Wang bag .... I remember all about that!!

The holidays all sound lovely, great to have things like that sorted and then look forward to.
I am dying to read your guide to SAHM in 19 pieces Lib, I'll be looking out for that for sure!!!
One I hope you feel better very soon, do you take vitamin supplements or anything like that? It sounds like you need a really good tonic to build up yourself before the winter comes. It's very debilitating to feel unwell for a long time, I really hope you start to get over it.
Stokey I loved the top (love love love dark green) and the colottes, really nicely styled.
Blair I hope you enjoy renovating your bathroom - I want to read the thread about it to hear what you're doing, love planning decorating.

DryWhiteagainW · 02/10/2017 07:48

Thanks Serenite I bought the black as I already have plum patent loafers which I love. Ah the Disco. I love that bag. It's gone up a bit since I bought it. I have my eye on a dark grey bag. Funny that you've been reading for so long and know us well. I have many bag stories.....contemplating breaking in next door to I know up my new Nancy and of course the VW story still scarred from that one Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/10/2017 12:10

The loafers are perfect for you Dry. Thanks for your PMs Flowers

Congratulations Blingy, great news, looking forward to hearing what you buy!

Everyone the bathroom is progressing very slowly, but the good news is I have made a spreadsheet and got an idea in my head of what I want (cream/beige stone type tiles, probably different shape for floor and walls, with a border halfway up possibly of these if they can be cut right, and a walnut wall-hung vanity - hoping this will look nice and luxe, please tell me if it sounds naff!)

Lib yes please to the 19 piece capsule post... sounds like the kind of thing which would go on an MNV Blog! Grin

BerniceBobsHerHair · 02/10/2017 12:41

Dry did you decide which grey bag you are going for?

I like your new loafers and your 20% off code enabled me to order these Mary Janes - not sure if I should have gone for gold though?

QueenC I bring you a pink velvet top

Blair I also loved the sound of your outfit with the red boots the other day. I am really drawn to red boots and would probably go for these but I don't think they will suit my lifestyle atm, so keep trying to be sensible.

Lovely purchases Blingy - you definitely do a good dress!

Shop look forward to hearing how the Jensens are.

Jealous of all these summer holidays being booked - where are you going QueenC and Everyone?

Stokey good to hear how you are getting on with FT work. I can't open the MD links on my computer unfortunately.

Serenite I think it is just time on the thread, I am always posting in a rush and forget to acknowledge everyone. It is especially hard if you don't post too often, you just have to jump straight in I think.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 02/10/2017 12:43

Case in point, congrats on the promotion Blingy!

littleredpear · 02/10/2017 13:37

Afternoon all, I am happily reading through your updates today.

Yes to School Holiday Holidays being obscenely expensive. We've tried to avoid the busy places so far and we also travel to other cities which schools are not on holiday to avoid the £££.

I'm struggling today in work. Wearing pleated culottes for a change. Simple top.

They do look ridiculous with my safety boots and hi-vis jacket. The engineers are giving me side eye Hmm I want to wear so much more every day but I have to stick with a very simple wardrobe due to my job.
Spending lots for weekend outfits, for the kids to get sticky is not that great.

&OS boots and trainers ordered. Along with some Uniqlo bits. Will report back if they are a success.

shopafrolic · 02/10/2017 14:40

Me&em trousers have arrived as has a scarf from Blingy so I need a try on later.
Just been to a space NK - bought a replacement By Terry touché veloutee (sp?) - I always like it when a product is so good that I buy it again. Also picked up some Oskia clenaser which has good reviews. Will report back.
Ordered a replacement merino and cashmere Woolovers crew neck in black - too dull to link. They don't do unisex anymore so I'm unsure on sizing but my old one is looking tatty and the wool looks boiled.
Bernice I had those boots in my sights too. I liked the heel.
I'm excited as have booked to join friends in spain in july for a 40th birthday girly weekend. I haven't been on a girly trip since my hen do Smile
