Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

I got this stars and stripes t-shirt from Zara on the morning of the last MU :)

Thanks for the red boot love. They look really good with my Topshop straight leg jeans. I think sock boots are the answer to cold ankles with non skinny jeans/trousers. And people who don't have stumpy leg worries like me can wear them with dresses and look fab.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 29/09/2017 13:56

Please help me lovely Voguettes - I have posted a thread about my bathroom refurb here as I'm a total novice and need advice. I know a few of you have done bathrooms before, so I'm hoping you have some wisdom for me Flowers

shopafrolic · 29/09/2017 16:20

I'm so tempted by your ASOS red boots Blair but they are high aren't they? I wanted some that were a bit more day to day wear. I'm tempted by a suede pair on &OS but am still on the lookout. Has anyone seen any elsewhere?
On my eternal quest for casual black trousers (which has been going on for years) I have ordered these from Me&em.

shopafrolic · 29/09/2017 16:22

These are lush

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 29/09/2017 18:12

Shop I know the &OS ones you mean. They are a fab colour and I love their boots, but I just thought I'd probably trash the suede. The Asos ones are about as high as Pistols I'd say - but less comfy because the heel is quite level at the top and they're a sixth of the price of course.

The KG boots are lush, but even higher!

shopafrolic · 29/09/2017 19:12

And alongside all my red boot lust is my craving for a pair of Acne Jensen boots (not red).

DryWhiteagainW · 29/09/2017 21:01

Blair I'll dig put the receipts from my bathrooms etc and PM over the weekend. I can tell you what we spent/saved on etc .

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 29/09/2017 21:55

Thank you Dry :) Star

Longislandicetee · 30/09/2017 11:13

Morning! My fashion radar must be off because I don't get this jacket!

Also struggling to see me in this sleeveless cocoon jacket

Blair has got me thinking about red boots now!

I absolutely love this Maje knitted dress but think I am too short for it to love me back!

MarshaBrady · 30/09/2017 13:27

I will try and find a time to wear my red Proenza suede boots this AW

shopafrolic · 30/09/2017 13:38

You were ahead of the trend Marsha

MarshaBrady · 30/09/2017 13:46

I try Wink

That type of red is a tricky colour for me, but I figure it's so far away from my face it doesn't matter

queencerulean · 30/09/2017 21:15

So I went shopping today to get earrings for dd birthday but somehow acquired a top and this dress for myself instead! I went to a couple of local independent shops and tried loads on-luckily the other stuff didn't look right otherwise I would have spent a fortune!

Morning all

great dress QueenC - I can really picture you in it.

You're very on trend with those boots Blair. Does anyone follow Smalltown Threads? She does a #fridayfeet on Insta and did a whole section on red.

Trousers look good Shop, I've been liking Me + Em this season. A little steep though so am hanging on til the sales.

Congratulations on the job offer Mara. It has been very hectic going back FT and a massive juggling act but I'm really enjoying actually being at work and having a life outside family, school etc. I do feel I don't have much headspace to work anything out and am on the back foot in terms of washing and organising things at home, but it is nice to be challenged professionally. Happy to meet for a drink to chat Wink

I got my Massimo Dutti order last week and am keeping a couple of tops - green with a pussy bow and red Henley one. And some culottes which feel lovely on. But when they sent them to me, they forgot to put a sticker over the price which was €70 and I paid £75 - quite annoying.

Think this kind of thing may be becoming more common. I haven't tried it yet but a friend said you can save quite a bit by choosing to pay on $ rather than £ on Asos. One to keep an eye on.

queencerulean · 01/10/2017 08:50

That green top is divine stokey.

Sunday morning fantasy links...

Love those culottes Stokey - I can't seem to make them work on me - not sure if it's long legs or just that I'm not used to seeing myself in something so different.
QueenC that Acne sweater is fab - gorgeous colour too

Longislandicetee · 01/10/2017 11:10

Love the culottes too Stokey and the green top. I have a similar one in beige, but that green is gorgeous.

QueenC, that Oscar de la Renta dress you linked for me is soooo funny. I have actually been agonising over whether to get it for about a month.Grin

We were at home last night so I got busy.....

I ordered this Miu Miu wool dress and this McQ Alexander McQueen wool and cashmere sweater dress.

Also my first bag purchase for about 18 months.....a Chloé Lexa suede bag!

Am wearing this Michael Kors embellished cashmere sweater today with blue gap kid jeans, my new Larson and Jennings watch with a grey strap and a wempe aquamarine and diamond ring. Casually blingy.Grin

FedupNagging · 01/10/2017 11:46

Quick, let me look at some lovely links - I need distraction - so far today I have navigated 2 stores customer service phone lines (ended up pressing random numbers just to speak to a human) and had quick look at FB which is full of various animal cruelty posts which I find very disturbing/upsetting.

To quote Shop this is my happy place.

Anyway, Blingy I absolutely love your new bag especially the unusual clasp. Not sure about your links yesterday but the descriptions by Selfridges made me laugh - apparently Rick Owens was in a 'lighter mood' when he created the 'wearable' jacket and Racil was inspired by the English countryside for the check jacket and not the Bay City Rollers as I'd previously thought Grin

Glad you're enjoying your new job Stokey, I'm sure the juggling act will get easier Hmm Love the MD purchases; I'm tempted by culottes now too - will you need to get them shortened?

Marsha your PS boots are very on trend - will see if I can find a picture as don't remember seeing them. Are you completely unpacked and organised now?

One how are you feeling?

FedupNagging · 01/10/2017 11:52

For the younger members of MNV, just in case you don't know, here are the Bay City Rollers - you're welcome Grin

MarshaBrady · 01/10/2017 12:01

Fedup these are they Proenza must wear them this AW

Blingy love all those new things, really lovely AW vibe

Mara exciting stuff, well done!

Must admit any ft work for me would be v difficult without my nanny, but as I get home to clean, fed, homeworked children, life can be pretty easy / stress free.

littleredpear · 01/10/2017 12:43

Fedup - my mum once spent the day in the company of Jimmy Saville and the Bay City Rollers. My jaw was on the table as she was speaking!

What do you think of these trainers?

http://www.stories.com/gb/Shoes/Newinshoes/StarLace-UpSneakers/122860772-0552035001.2 from &os

I really want the Gucci bee/ladybird trainers but they are everywhere.

I also like the boots - http://www.stories.com/gb/Shoes/Newinshoes/LeatherChelseaBoots/122860772-0352192007.2

I think they are Acne dupes?

Off to start packing the waterproofs for our holiday next week...

libertyonhertravels · 01/10/2017 12:56

Oh some lovely purchases and links!

Blair your red boot outfit sounded great and I love the Dune ones blingy has linked.

Fedup Grin at the BCR link. I remember my aunties being crazy about them!!

Miu Miu dress is fab blingy as is the Chloe. Looking forward to the update after delivery.

The embellished Gucci belt is very lovely. I made the mistake of mentioning the price of a Gucci belt to DH and he now intends to watch me like a hawk in duty free Grin

Suffering this morning after a night out that involved beer, red wine and brandy Confused. Then had to drag myself out of bed to take DD horse riding. I retired to a local cafe while the DC headed off down a windy beach in the rain.
