Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

You can't say you have Chanel shoes and not provide a link littlered
I'm on tenterhooks.

Longislandicetee · 25/09/2017 21:35

Poor you One. Hope you recover soon.Flowers

FedUp, I have worn my Chloé block heels with dresses, and they look great.

Amber, how conservative of you.GrinGrinGrin I am very proud.Grin are you thinking of getting the marmont loafers too?

Mara, despite the stress, I think it's lovely that you have got this opportunity. Well done!

LibGrin

littleredpear · 25/09/2017 21:57

I HAD ONE JOB Grin

Sorry, I can't find them online.

pintrest

This is the closest thing I can find. Black goatskin leather, pointed pumps with a section of leather across the toe. Gold double c's at the top of the heel.

Lots in store that are not online, including some lovely two tone grey and black ballet flats I am now going to save for.

kittyhello · 25/09/2017 22:04

Littlered ditto Shop let's see your shoes Envy your weekend with dh sounds lovely. Also great red dress.

One glad you went to the docs and got a diagnosis. Look after yourself.

Fedup glad you managed to get your hands on a pair of those shoes and wrt your friend and the raw hem jeans, tell her she needs MNV in her life Grin

Mara love the print of the Equipment shirt, lots to think about re: job. What have you got to lose if you take it apart from loss of freedom and restricted holidays no, seriously what is your goal? SAHM, work, freelance/consultancy work etc do you need to take this job as a stepping stone in order to take you where you want to be in the future? Lots of things to think about. But exciting too.

Shop I liked those reds but not knowing which season I am, can anyone who's seen me take a guess, I wouldn't know which shade to go for. I've given up wearing red apart from accessories.

Love those TS shoes Amber

So ta da I finally caved in and got an item that's been on my wishlist for months black belt Grin

Uniqlo merino sweaters:
black half sleeve

this replaces a crew one in the same colour

never did get round to buying a navy Tippi

littleredpear · 25/09/2017 22:13

Kitty my navy tippi is the hardest working thing in my wardrobe, anything that comes close is always worth looking at.

DryWhiteagainW · 25/09/2017 22:41

SeaRabbit the E Hope shoes are divine,v me indeed. Vvv tempted .........they're not cheap though

Waves to everyone

AmberNectarine · 25/09/2017 23:26

You won't regret it kitty

Lovely shoes littlered. I have the SP
dress in black longsleeve. It is a. Short and b. Comes up SMALL. I have other SP dresses in a 6 but can just squeeze into an 8 in that.

blingy the horse-bit for me I think.

littleredpear · 26/09/2017 07:45

I tried it on in selfridges, luckily I'm very short. I'm also best described as cuddly Grin

The UK12 was a good fit but if I sit down there's very little coverage.

Not sure how it fits tall people!

FedupNagging · 26/09/2017 08:17

I did try to join in the convo last night but my ipad kept deleting whole posts so i gave up & read my book instead.

Blingy I did wonder if one needed to be tall to carry block heels with a dress but I guess not Grin I'll have a good trying on session when I get my mits on them

Fab purchases Kitty - you finally got the belt!

Queen I was only in H&M as ds3 was looking but will definitely go back on my own soon. For anyone interested, they're currently doing 20% discount with valid student ID. Topman 10%.

Your weekend sounded lovely littlered as are your fab Chanel shoes.

Amber I like the sound of your outfit with the slingbacks.

Flowers for you One, that sounds awful; hope you start to feel better soon.

shopafrolic · 26/09/2017 09:49

One thinking of you and your pusskit today

maradesbois · 26/09/2017 11:56

Morning,

littleredpear your day out with dh sounds lovely, proper quality time & Chanel shoes the icing on the cake.

kitty great buys, belt is fab.

One oh no for the pneumonia and your cat, thinking of you, sounds very hard.

Fedup is this your last one to fly the nest? Btw I am planning to wear my chunky heels with pretty much everything, jeans, skirts and dresses. Think they will work with most of my wardrobe.

Am not going to bore on too much about job stuff but it helps to write it down here so bear with me. Basically it is a very good opportunity as you say Blingy. It shows that they were very happy with my work during the placement and will look good on my cv that they wanted me to stay on in a paid role. Also, in answer to the questions kitty raised it is a good stepping stone to the general area I want to be involved in. Also, while not senior it isn't entry level either, I'll have to do quite a bit of PA type stuff but will also get exposure to clients and the commercial side which is what I want. It will be difficult, the people are hard work but overall think am definitely going to take it if offered. If I can manage it for a couple of years will put me on another level and will have many more options.

Anyway, back to fashion

Amber I can see you in the bright pink Gucci loafers. Can't link as on a train and don't trust the connection.

Am not going to rush into any more shopping, being frugal as I said yesterday but have identified a few wardrobe gaps to be filled in due course:

  • knee high boots in tan
  • straight leg jeans - will try the ts ones everyone is talking about
  • denim midi skirt
  • midi dresses

Have had second thoughts about Gucci bee trainers. Was in a café next to a group of high school kids last week and they were horrid - entitled, rude, ignorant and bad attitude. They were also all wearing Gucci and Valentino trainers and I can't break the association, no bad thing for the bank balance!

libertyonhertravels · 26/09/2017 19:56

Who buys a teenager Gucci trainers? Shock

Fingers crossed the job works out Mara.

One you poor thing. That sounds rough. Lots of TLC for you.

Have a new phone but and slowly but surely getting contacts sorted.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 27/09/2017 12:07

Just a heads up that the Outnet has 20% off most things until tomorrow morning - falltreat.

Though I still have the rage that when I log in they have a big banner admonishing me for returning items (the last time I returned something was in Dec!!). I wanted to email them to complain but can't find an email address on their website.

Was going to say the same as Lib about the Gucci trainers. I can see why it has put you off Mara Grin

One hope you feel better soon.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 27/09/2017 12:25

thanks for the sympathies everyone. I was totally wiped out after dealing with the cat yesterday so basically got home and rested and then slept. I think the medicine is kicking in now, i don't feel as bad as i did so that's definitely a good thing! I figure i'm going to probably be pretty wiped out for a good couple of weeks even when ive got rid fo the illness so just got to take it easy and make the best of resting and relaxing as much as i can!

littleredpear · 27/09/2017 21:29

One I hope you are feeling better soon that's not good, what a thing to get.

I hadn't thought about a 2017 Winter List. I would just write 'everything' on it right now. I think the problem is my weight though and not my wardrobe.

Everyonelovessparkles · 28/09/2017 09:08

one you poor thing! No wonder you have been feeling rotten. Hope you are taking it easy and starting to feel abit better. Flowers

mara great news about the job offer! Shows that they really valued you even if you decide against it. But as everyone else has said, could you stick it out for a year or so just to get more experience and contacts in the industry? Great buys as well. Love the cardigan.

Great buys too kitty.

Glad you are enjoying life at the moment lib, benefiting from free and available childcare sounds like a winner to me! Did you sort your phone out?

I agree with queenc (?) about H&M in that it always feels like a jumble sale. My SIL gets some nice things from there but I think you do have to rummage and accept that the quality isn't always great.

Wore my stars print shirt the other day and was pleased with it. Also I tried on 'the ring' yesterday and may have ordered it! Eek! I will be joining mara in the frugal camp once I've paid for it!!

queencerulean · 28/09/2017 14:03

Lovely shirt everyone.

Gorgeous day here, feels like summer again. Am off out tonight so pondering what to wear. Possibly the green lace Zara blouse.

OP posts:
queencerulean · 28/09/2017 14:05

How lush are these boots

OP posts:
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/09/2017 14:52

Yay everyone so happy you ordered it!

Jumping back in... One you poor thing, hope you get lots of rest and feel better.

Mara well done and glad it sounds like you've decided to go for it, I'm sure it'll be a great opportunity and like you say lead onto bigger and better things.

Good news on the belt kitty!

I've been thinking about red boots for a while, but couldn't find the perfect pair (sock style with a block heel...). I suddenly realised I didn't have to look for suede and I found these which are perfect. Wearing them today with cropped straight leg grey J crew trousers and a white Uniqlo pussy bow blouse and Gucci belt. I'm definitely converted to a statement shoe Grin

BerniceBobsHerHair · 28/09/2017 15:02

Fedup I'd love to know your view on the JL shoes once you've got them and had a chance to try them with various outfits. I think I will get them if they get a good review Grin

I also like these leopard heels from Next - am definitely a late adopter when it comes to this style of shoe.

That's great about the ring Everyone.

Little you can't be that cuddly at a size 12. Have you worn your new shoes yet?

Sorry don't have too much time to catch up but wanted to link a few things that caught my eye:
Zara velvet dress - love the print on this.
Star trainers - I like almost everything from this JL range, especially the dresses and bags - like this and this

littleredpear · 28/09/2017 19:47

The shoes have been put away until our wedding anniversary.

It's killing me.

I've also been told I'm not allowed to buy the Chanel flats in the mean time Grin

I love that monsoon shirt, but I have a very similar one from Jack Wills. Do I need 2?

Working on winter list, loving the boots above.

DryWhiteagainW · 28/09/2017 22:06

Blair your red boot outfit sounds fab.

Everyonelovessparkles · 29/09/2017 07:25

Love the red boots blair. I like a statement show myself. Think it can be a good way to wear colour.

littlered and bernice I love Stars and Stripes which makes me sound very American, which I am definitely not! Grin

Coffee morning at DDs school today. Might wear the navy and white stripe KM dress, am sick of jeans already. Bought 2 pairs of ballet flats from clarks yesterday in black patent and navy. I like their ones and got 20% off, so a bargain.

FedupNagging · 29/09/2017 09:12

Love those trainers Bernice - I like stars & stripes too Everyone and have been tempted to purchase RL jumper a few times over the years.

Blair love the sound of your ootd yesterday

I picked up the block heel shoes yesterday & so far only tried them on with the cropped flares - looked fab so I'm definitely keeping. Will try on with more things this weekend then will report back Bernice. I was hoping to wear them today but it's raining.

queencerulean · 29/09/2017 10:20

Next years summer holiday is booked! Only 300 days away (the website told me that, I'm not sad enough to work it out!).

blair great red boots. I love coloured shoes but boots seems a step too out there for me!
littlered forgot to say, well done on the gorgeous Chanel shoes

Wore the green lace Zara top last night and my Mickey Mouse coach bag which got a few funny looks Grin
