Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

Hello!!

Stokey, I get cold all the time and the Me&Am layering tees are perfect. I always wear them on planes.

Shop I buy my socks from Sainsbury's.Grin Collects coat

J Crew cashmere is okay but I haven't particularly got over excited by it. My cashmere sweaters are from Hawick, Ralph Lauren and White Company.

shopafrolic · 22/09/2017 20:00

Love this

DryWhiteagainW · 22/09/2017 21:29

MNv recommends anything from hoovers to socks Grin love it here.

Stokey love my Me+Em layering top, washes well, not bulky, genius design, keeps me warm........am planning to buy another one, money well spent.

Stokey · 23/09/2017 10:36

oh thanks for the recommendations Dry & Blingy. I was about to buy some Massimo Dutti silk tops (good value IMO at around £50) but they're dry clean only - rather annoying for shirts.
There's nice stuff on there though - saw this green velvet dress and immediately thought of Mara. And could really picture Marsha in this shirt dress.

queencerulean · 23/09/2017 12:01

Hi all, I've been feeling crappy for the past few days hence no posting on here. Nothing major just mental health stuff and getting v stressed and angsty with life. I'm just going to dive back in here and not try and catch up...

I've managed to do some shopping though! Part of the problem of feeling crappy is feeling like I don't fit in to dd new school and need to up my game (private school). Ridiculous I know, I'm 43 and shouldn't feel like this! Anyway, I've just been updating some basics really and also wanted to have a choice of shoes to wear in winter so...
Lacoste silver. The joys of fitting into kids!

About 10 years late to the party ash virgins. These are the most delicious shade of grey/navy. Because I fit into a 4 they don't look too bulky.

And 2 pairs of Levi's (straight leg-312). I've accepted my 5lb weight gain as part of being old and menopausal but as a result last years gap jeans just weren't fitting right. Levi seem to come up nice and high for the middle spread.

Hope everyone is well x

Hugs to you QueenC my friend. Hoping it all turns around soon. On the private school thing, remember underneath it all, people are just people. Flowers. Love your links especially the Ash Virgins.

Stokey, love those dresses. In my parallel universe, I am normal height and wafting around in those right now. Grin

I finally wore the Rag & Bone copper loafers that I bought a few weeks ago when Lib found them in my size. Dh didn't like them, which always throws me for a loop. After staring at them for weeks, I decided not to return. So ootd is very autumn casual preppy. Black and white Breton top by Whistles, blue gap kid jeans and my loafers.

MarshaBrady · 23/09/2017 18:38

Hugs QueenC it's a state of mind I'm sure as you have nothing to doubt yourself about, but I know it's not always easy to see it from your own point of view

Blingy I bet they look great, lovely colour

Everyone brilliant thanks! Bosch is great and we need one for the stairs especially as three floors now

Went to Liberty today and ended up splashing out but not on me, was really lovely. But so packed in there.

I saw some Gianvito Rossi boots I loved will try and find a link

MarshaBrady · 23/09/2017 18:42

I think it was these ones suede

Just realised they do loads of different ones like that, I didn't try them on though so not sure of the fit

DryWhiteagainW · 23/09/2017 20:06

Gosh Marsha those are stunning . I'd not heard of GR until I met you, love everything they do .

shopafrolic · 23/09/2017 20:35

Hugs for you QueenC - you're awesome, and we're all the same when we're naked. It's hard. I doubt myself all the time but we're here to cheer you on. Lots of love my friend.
DH has a new midlife crisis car - a Mercedes cabriolet. It's a nightmare for my hair - one short drive with the roof down and I was a frizzy mess Grin

shopafrolic · 23/09/2017 21:46

First world problems eh? God I sound like a dick.

libertyonhertravels · 24/09/2017 00:03

Am pissing myself at the hair problems Shop Grin Grin

More hugs from me QueenC - new trainers are fantastic - I want some Ash virgins too.

Have just been out for a great date night with DH, lovely restaurant, so nice being somewhere with babysitters!

Stokey · 24/09/2017 08:19

Grin Shop bad hair's a whole world problem.

[Flowers] QueenC I'm sure there are private school mums that still turn up in trackie bottoms or pjs. We're so often our own harshest critic.

Love the Ash Virgins, I'm really missing mine. The zip broke at the start of the summer, not sure where to go to get it fixed.. or if it's possible.

You sound like you're having a lovely time Lib , nice relaxing round family.

I just did a Massimo Dutti order for work clothes, mainly trousers and tops. I'll link what I keep.

Longislandicetee · 24/09/2017 08:50

Shop too funny. It's a hazard but so worth it.Grin

This is the first weekend in 4 weeks that no one is flying anywhere so we are together as a family the whole weekend. Dh and I went out last night and had such a fantastic night. I wore this Alexander McQueen mini dresss with highland bootss. Dh was a very happy man.Grinit's the first time I have worn high heels in 10 months. I was a bit unsteady but did manage to walk in them. So I am happy that my shoe collection won't become museum pieces!!

DryWhiteagainW · 24/09/2017 09:30

Gosh that's a relief Blingy, no heels ever would have been to awful to contemplateand I'm not being sarcastic as you know

Shop I totally sympathise, DH has classic soft top and my hair is always crazy when we go out in it. Time to work the headscarf/sunnies I think.

Ok. Impossible mission it seems. Last year Blingy found me the perfect work shoe. Black patent, pointy, little block heelabout 3cm don't look clompy from Kurt G. So perfect for work no heels Sad I bought 3 pairs Shock......one of the black has died. I need a replacement.
I have lots of loafers, brogues aren't me and I dont want totally flat ballerinas.
Have searched and searched.....

Thanks for all the hugs and love. It's nice to be able to admit it with you guys as you understand. I remember when I had pnd I focused on my appearance and not feeling good enough. Guess it's how my stress and anxiety manifests. Luckily dh has been understanding with all the parcels turning up Grin

Gorgeous boots marsha. I've tried some similar on but was worried how well they'd wear with the suede heel?
dry do kg not have similar this year?

They would definitely need to be looked after very well. The suede looked so delicate

A quickie, did anyone else get the £100 off from Matches? Ends today need to think about whether to buy something. Although pretty sure you only had to spend £300 before now it's £400

queencerulean · 24/09/2017 12:15

My 6yo would love this

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 24/09/2017 13:06

hugs for you queenC we are definitely our own harshest critic, I hope you feel brighter soon. hugs Thanks

still sick here and now DP has come down with it as well. luckily he hasn't been hit as hard with it and he's already feeling better after a couple of days which is good. I'm still really struggling but hopefully i'm over the worst of it now.

My cat goes to her new home in a couple of days, which i'm feeling pretty sad about. I know its the best thing but it still sucks

You sound very relaxed lib which is lovely to hear Smile

I'm on the hunt for a star print cardigan or sweater. i'd prefer a cardigan but if it has to be a sweater, i'd rather it be oversized to wear long over jeans. short sweaters just don't seem to work on me really

shopafrolic · 24/09/2017 13:39

I didn't get it M - not sure I bought anything from them this year.
QueenC I LOVE that. Pondering the fabric mix but may buy in October.

queencerulean · 24/09/2017 14:50

Ha ha shop, I nearly didn't link it for you because I knew you wouldn't like the fabric mix!
