Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

Ooh face masks all sound good. Did they come in the m&s calendar? If so I probably have one lurking somewhere.

As I said I had a fab time in London last week. Bought this scarf and some burgundy leather trainers (not online so can't link).

Went shopping today for birthday presents for dc but ended up trying a few thIngs on although nothing was perfect so didn't buy. Deliberating over some boots I tried though.

I love those jimmy choo brogues, they are really stunning. Since I had my baba I hardly every wear heels through the day any more do I always try to get something a bit eye catching with flats, colour/metallic. I wear a lot of r&b loafers, they always have different materials but I have to watch about getting stuck in a rut! If I like something I tend to buy a few in different colours - in shoes/clothes and it can make you feel like you're wearing a uniform sometimes 🙄 I've deliberated on getting some leopard flats, I think nice ones were linked here recently, must look back.
I love massimo dutti but I've mostly bought abroad on holidays as I don't get to London much and they seem very London centric with their shops. The website is good, I buy a lot of my things online, but I'd love to be able to go in and browse. I think you've chosen a beautiful scarf, love the colour and it looks like it'll have a lovely drape when you wear it.
Bon voyage Lib - it's so strange! I feel like I've been through a part of your journey to get to today reading about you on here, felt your excitement and sometimes conflict about leaving and I always wished you well. It's nice to be able to post that rather than just reading and thinking it. I've always felt an enormous part of the longevity of the vogue thread is the support you all give to each other and a genuine warmth that comes across, as much as the chat about the style. It's nice to start to be part of that. Your travelling outfit sounds perfect - nothing like a good travelling outfit I think!! Safe journey, it's an exciting time for you.
I'll look at that bronzer that was recommended but TBH I have dozens of bronzers, I just don't feel so confident about using them - must get one out and start. Do you brush all over your face or just the cheekbones/t zone? I've been using Laura mercier tinted moisturiser this last while and I like it very much, with her candle glow powder on top. Am just about running out so am indecisive (I'm indecisive in general 😉) about whether to rebuy the same one, get the oil free one or try something from a different brand - what is everyone using?

littleredpear · 15/09/2017 22:19

Grey cardi was me @shopafrolic that's a lovely one.

Major shopping trip planned Sunday so any spare funds might purchase that Grin

shopafrolic · 15/09/2017 22:23

Serenite what lovely words Flowers Lib is one of our best. I can't actually bring myself to call her for a final goodbye. I think it makes it too real. The women on here are inspiring, fun, sexy, intelligent, powerful, fabulous and so much more. Glad you've joined us.

justasecond · 15/09/2017 23:27

Lovely post serenite. Lib is indeed one in a million, a genuinely lovely woman who I feel lucky to have met. I wish her buckets of happiness with her new adventure and look forward to her visits back.

Longislandicetee · 16/09/2017 11:09

I agree Serenite, lovely post.Flowers

With the exception of seeing Lib on Monday night, it's been an utterly crap week. 16 hours and a diary so full that I could barely breathe. Yesterday was a rubbish day, involving having several very difficult work conversations. Thank you to the lovely Voguettes who held my hand because it was horribly stressful. All I want to do is stay under the duvet today. Unfortunately we have a family thing. I think I am going to wear my Saint Laurent cashmere sweater and Theory leather leggings. Can't decide what shoes.Hmm

There is a bag thread in s&b. It's really making me want a new bag.Grin

shopafrolic · 16/09/2017 12:17

Are you channeling me today Blingy? Grin

Longislandicetee · 16/09/2017 12:28

Omg! Didn't spot thatGrinGrinGrin Is this like when you live with another woman and your cycles all line up?

shopafrolic · 16/09/2017 13:45

DryWhiteagainW · 16/09/2017 17:04

libertyonhertravels · 16/09/2017 17:15

serenite that is so lovely. Thank you. And it's really touching to think that someone I didn't know was wishing me well. And thanks shop and justa for your lovely words.

I am in Ireland, have caught up with DH and DD, my parents and had a lovely cuddle with my 6month old niece ovaries twitching. Off now to a little local festival.

shopafrolic · 16/09/2017 17:57

Enjoy Lib. Is your mobile still the same for now?

Everyonelovessparkles · 16/09/2017 18:19

Enjoy your time in Ireland lib. Travelling outfit sounded great. Good the capsule wardrobe works out. Don't forget to wear the ruched dress with wellies and a big cardi Grin

Fab boots stokey!

Good luck with the move marsha. Packers are definitely the way forward. Flowers

Sorry to hear your week has been pretty bad blingy but glad your meet MU with lib was fun. Today's outfit sounds fab.

Welcome serenite. Good luck with Chanel, hopefully they provide something useful for the insurance company.

I ordered some black and grey Levi's but think both are going back as they are a bit too big. I really struggle to find jeans / trousers that are slim but not skinny (fat thighs) but not too loose. If anyone sees anything they think might be suitable please let me know. Flowers

Starting potty training DS this week. Can I just say, AAAARRRGGGHHH! today we went through about 15 pairs of pants. He just can't seem to be arsed to get on the potty that is next to him. It's going to be a long long process with copious amounts of Wine

Waves to everyone! I have read the thread but can't remember everyone's updates so sorry to anyone who I've missed.

FedupNagging · 16/09/2017 19:51

So, my plans of keeping up with MNV & poolside shopping went out of the window as wifi was absolutely shocking on holiday. On the plus side, I have a rapidly fading tan for a while at least!

Loads to catch up on here:
Blingy, hugs for you. I hope next week is better.
Serenite what a lovely post - hope you stay around. Will look for your bag thread in a while.
Marsha good luck with the move
Everyone good luck with the potty training rather you than me Grin
Stokey fab boots - they are such a Stokey style
Lib am looking forward to hearing all about your fabulous travels and new life.
Dry yes, you definitely need to treat yourself to fill the void that ds has left enables
Shop your IM peacoat was a brilliant bargain. Trinny always makes me smile if I watch any of her posts. I like your new glasses too.
Fab Gucci loafers Mara . You looked amazing last weekend.
Amber, have you worn your new t yet? Did you realise it has holes in it? For that price, I'd want box fresh completely misses point of said garment !

Sorry if I've missed anyone out; as usual there were some fab links and am waving a big hello to all the newbies Smile

shopafrolic · 16/09/2017 20:19

Welcome back Fedup
Which Levi's did you try Everyone ? I really rate the 501skinnies.

Everyonelovessparkles · 16/09/2017 21:54

They were the 712 mid rise slim shop . Might have a look at 501s. The 712s were a bit baggy round the knee and crotch do not massively flattering.

Glad you had a good holiday fedup.

Hope you're holding up ok dry after the drop off. I bet your fridge will suddenly seem full all the time Grin.

Everyonelovessparkles · 17/09/2017 08:29

I've had an email with 20% off at whistles. If any one has seen anything and not got an email, let me know and I can forward it on. I quite like this dress but it still seems quite expensive even with the discount.

Got a couple of basics in the m&s 20% off event. I had seen this flowered skirt which I thought would be a good transitional piece, but it's sold out online and in store in a 10. The m&s stock control is absolutely appalling. It said there was 1 in epsom so I made a special trip, and they didn't even stock the skirt!

MarshaBrady · 17/09/2017 14:36

Hello!

We made it! wow it's a move isn't it. Well the move is very easy all I had to do was pick up the keys, the movers were so good, friendly and professional. Everything in the right room.

But unpacking sheesh!

Now starting the hunt for architects, kitchen and bedroom inspiration etc. If anyone has used really good architects who work in London, it would be ace to know.

We haven't had any wifi for two days, feel like I've been off the here for ages. Not really though Grin

libertyonhertravels · 17/09/2017 14:51

Good to hear it's all worked out Marsha. No ideas on architect sorry.

Shop I am on same phone for at least the next month.

Love that Whistles dress everyone.

My Me&Em black joggers are proving very useful. So far both friends I stayed with in London and my DM, DSis and SIL all want some.

shopafrolic · 17/09/2017 16:34

Glad you're in Marsha
Thanks Lib I'll call before you go
Went to Milton Keynes today to get various bits. I picked this cashmere sweater up in M&S with the 20% off. It is a clearer grey IRL with neon flecks in it. Good for day to day school run etc.
I also picked up a grey Metallica tee from the men's section which I'll distress a bit to wear with skinnies and heels and a blazer. Can't find it to link.
Special hugs today for QueenC

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 17/09/2017 17:40

as is traditional with the weather changing, i am sick. Have a horrible cough, aching everywhere and a raging temperature. Ive mostly been sleeping today and yesterday and id on't see that changing for a few days still Sad

Cashmere looks good shop I already have a home distressed MEtallica tee, should really find it out and my motley crue one Grin

Joggers sound good Lib evenf or me, a determined non sports wear type of person but i could be tempted by them if they are good for lounging in, i love a good bit of loungewear!

shopafrolic · 17/09/2017 18:20

Can you link the joggers Lib? I missed them and I need something loungey.
One I always get ill around now too and am fending off a sore throat. I hope you recover quickly. Rest up.

FedupNagging · 17/09/2017 18:57

Lovely jumper Shop. I keep looking at this jumper as I run through to the food hall but have hesitated as wonder if I'll get annoyed by the sleeve ties.

One sorry you're not feeling too brilliant - take care of yourself.

I love sloppy clothing/lounge wear and generally change into yoga pants etc once I'm home for the rest of the day. There is a thread on S&B about stylish comfy clothes which I've been reading with interest.

Today's ootd was winter white boden jeans, stans, uniqlo silk spot sleeveless blouse layered under CDC raspberry linen l/s jumper - denim jacket and cream cotton scarf when I ventured outside.

FedupNagging · 17/09/2017 18:58

That should be a silk PINK spot blouse! - One of my favourites but is definitely looking a bit tired now Sad

shopafrolic · 17/09/2017 19:10

The sleeves would annoy me Fedup but I can see the attraction. I'm off to find the loungewear thread Smile
