Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

Lovely jacket Little. I also have a Whistles one - I really rate the quality.
QueenC I'm so not back into a routine yet and miniShop is shattered bless him.
I continued my new love affair with yoga last night by joining a local Ashtanga class run by a friend of a friend. Loved it and slept so well last night. I have been off alcohol for a few weeks now (those who know me are probably doing this face right now Shock ). I feel so much happier it's unbelievable, much less anxious and sleeping so much better. Not sure how long I can stick at it but for now it feels good.
Not much to report clothes wise other than how cold it is. Cashmere is back on (as is the heating).

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 14/09/2017 14:54

been absolutely freezing the last few days, the onesies are out for night time and the thicker cardigans are out for daytime. the heatings also been on the last few days, the weather has been hideous really

No shopping news to report, really not feeling it still and truth told i only really need underwear, tights and pjs, im trying my best to 'shop' from my existing clothes as there's stuff int here that hasn't seent he light of day in quite some time. I did a big clear out and came up with two in bags full of stuff that i just never reach for so it was all taken to the charity shop this afternoon, didn't want to start picking through it all and 'rescuing' anything when i know i dont wear any of it!

there is one thing i want though and that is some star print boots. Ive seen a few pairs that i will have a better look at when i go into central london, not sure when i'll be going but soon hopefully

YAY Stokey - you have made my day. Do you love them?

shopafrolic · 14/09/2017 17:44

Even the zips are fabulous :)

shopafrolic · 14/09/2017 17:49

Who was after a grey cardigan?

Stokey · 14/09/2017 17:50

I do. It was a very spontaneous order that I regretted almost immediately but now they're here, I'm in love. The leather is so soft, there's no way I'm sending them back Grin

shopafrolic · 14/09/2017 17:53

Have you seen all the Shrimps faux fur coats on the Outnet Stokey ? They're fab and you'd look awesome in them (just not at the same time as your new boots Grin

Serenite · 14/09/2017 18:42

Thanks for the kind welcome. I love this thread!! I never particularly liked the AS leather jackets, too bulky and too many straps/zips for my liking. That said I'm looking for a new one - got a fab red leather jacket at the start of the summer but I've only worn it a couple of times, I think I feel too conspicuous in it. I must get it out and just wear it, red is the colour and it suits me. Was looking at AS dresses today though, I like them. Those boots are stunning, such a statement piece, enjoy them. Update on the bag drama - I've spoken to Chanel about the bag today and will let you all know what happens. I think they understand my predicament and I explained it all ok. They were very nice on the phone so fingers crossed. Will see - it's scary talking to insurance people, even as I'm telling exactly what happened I'm afraid I'll say something that will disqualify my claim. And I just miss my bag. It was bought a year and half ago. I didn't use it for a while as it seemed 'too good' but I got over it and it was one if three I used everyday, so I miss it for slinging on.

shopafrolic · 14/09/2017 19:25

Glad that Chanel are giving good CS Serenite - hope it all works out. Red leather jacket sounds fab - definitely wear it :)

Dreamqueen · 14/09/2017 20:21

Love those boots Stokey

No S&B news here. I'm dog sitting for 2 weeks so getting lots of walking exercise. finding the shops very uninspiring at the moment.

MarshaBrady · 14/09/2017 21:39

Everything is packed up - thank god for packers is all I can say - I could never do all this!

Welcome Serenite great you've joined us

Back to read properly after tomorrow and from the other side!

AmberNectarine · 14/09/2017 21:54

Marsha as one who has recently crossed over to the other side, I wish you luck, serenity and no surprise fish.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/09/2017 22:01

Good luck Marsha and will also be thinking of Lib tomorrow! :)

justasecond · 14/09/2017 23:16

Good luck marsha hope it's all plain sailing!
Are you going tomorrow too lib? Sad Sad Love that cos cardi by the way and the hm dress is perfect for you
stokey wow those boots are totally gorgeous
serenite welcome aboard! sorry to hear about your bag, hope the insurance co cough up soon so you can find a replacement.

I have been using this ren mask and its totally amazing. I have used it twice so far and my pores are smaller and skin tone has visibly improved. I don't usually rate Ren products but this is good stuff. The most effective product i've used in ages

shopafrolic · 15/09/2017 07:51

justa that's one of my favourite masks too - immediate results
Lower cost and also good is Clay mask
Stokey I keep smiling about your boots - love it when a recommendation works for someone :)
Marsha nearly there - All the best in your new home

Serenite · 15/09/2017 09:46

Morning,
Well I wore my red leather jacket this morning 🤗 I kept the rest of my outfit dark, massimo dutti indigo skinny jeans, black fine knit hoodie and black Uggs (awful ugly but I feel the cold so badly) had to put on some reddish lippie as I looked quite washed out, must think about one of those fake tan glow creams I've seen advertised, think there's one called 'glow' that you can get in boots, has anyone tried it? My skin colour is pale, I'm always the lightest in tinted moisturiser but I think a hint of colour might liven me up a bit. I love face masks and use them loads, I've had different products from REN that I've found effective but not tried that one, but I 'll give it a go. Also the clay one looks good, great to get recommendations, I love it😍

shopafrolic · 15/09/2017 16:05

I can't remember if I told you all that I managed to get an IM peacoat on Trinny's second hand clothes FB page - mint condition for £75? Anyway I wore it today for the first time with Levi 501 skinnies, Lib's grey cashmere sweater and IM Crisi boots. Felt good. Autumn is definitely here in Herts.
What's everyone up to this weekend? Any good excuses to dress up?

libertyonhertravels · 15/09/2017 16:31

Is that the Whistles sweater shop? It's so nice. Great outfit.

Serenite your OOTD sounds good. I've been using Kevyn Aucoin matte bronzer all summer and it gives my pale skin a nice healthy glow rather than a very bronzed look.

I'll try that mask justa.

My outfit is grey Boden jeans, navy long sleeve t-shirt, tan brogues and belt with Cos burgundy cardi and my lovely new grey, cream, taupe and mustard stripe scarf. I have managed to pull a muscle in my neck while wrestling with my bag!! Am treating it with red wine and paracetamol while I wait for the boarding gate to open.

kittyhello · 15/09/2017 17:57

OMG Lib is today THE day?

Marsha all the best with the move. Packers are definitely the way to go, making moving day a bit more bearable.

Serenite hello and welcome. Hope you have success with your stolen bag.

Shop I use the facial wash version of that clay mask and it's lovely. I bought it in a hurry at the airport and was surprised at how nice it is. Will try the mask too now.

Stokey great boots and very you. What will you wear them with? Will you show them off with a skirt/dress or wear with jeans? Or both of course!

I'd love a leather jacket but feel that they're not me although they always look great on everyone else.

My weekend usually involves dc activities in the morning. If it's sunny I quite fancy a bike ride in the afternoon - no dressing up opportunities there but I suppose I could wear my Varley leggings.

justasecond · 15/09/2017 18:25

No dressing up opportunities for me either, poor dd has the last of her selective school tests tomorrow. It has been stressful to say the least and she has worked very hard so we are taking her out for a treat.
I went to Bicester today and bought these Jimmy choo brogues. I was looking at them earlier in the week on the outnet as I have been after a pair of brogues for autumn but my size was sold out so I was pleased to find them in my size and cheaper than on the outnet!

In Burberry I saw the gorgeous red coat with big gold buttons mara was considering last year at 50% off. It is such a luxe hue of red, very unique. I tried it on and loved it even though it;s not my usual style but couldn't really justify another coat. There were some proper mainline trench coats too at around £1100 rather than the usual made for outlet ones I see in there.

Thanks for the mask tip shop I am new to masks so will add that to the list of ones to try.

shopafrolic · 15/09/2017 18:28

Just a quick point on the clay mask - it gets the blood pumping so you will be red faced for an hour or so..... don't use it just before planning a big night out Grin
Lib safe flight - I bet you can't wait to see miniLib and DH

justasecond · 15/09/2017 18:36

Bon voyage lib have a safe journey xx
