Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

Have fun Lib and Mara
Amber I just realised the additional £250ish must pay for the flower on the back! So that's totally okay Grin

Longislandicetee · 06/09/2017 17:04

Shop see....this is like my nightie!

Mara ooooh that's one of the shoes I am debating at the moment!!!

AmberNectarine · 06/09/2017 17:37

Oh, bugger off, I like it! 😀

shopafrolic · 06/09/2017 17:44

I like it too Amber

AmberNectarine · 06/09/2017 18:44

No because even I'm judging me.

littleredpear · 06/09/2017 19:03

I bought the belt Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/09/2017 19:44

Welcome to the club littlered Grin

LOVE the t-shirt Amber but omg at the price!

MrsPear · 06/09/2017 20:38

De lurks to say hi!

Fawning over lovely links from afar - omg that t shirt!

Very much lemonade budget here but dreams of shopping champagne style if my lotto numbers came up!

MarshaBrady · 06/09/2017 22:20

Love the trench and Gucci loafer Mara. The Mansur ones were in a mag, maybe ST Style, felt pleased even though it was a season off. Being comfy is SUCH a bonus

Great t Amber

Need to catch up properly but just watched GBBO and one of the bakers has really nice hair

Which reminded me when I was early 20s I asked for someone just to highlight the midway to the ends - like it had been bleached by the sun over time. And lo I was years ahead, pre-balayage!

SO> my Vogue question tonight is: what have you done / embraced which is waaay before the real trend? Then realised you were really ahead of your time

(you may have to dig deep for this one)

libertyonhertravels · 06/09/2017 22:32

Marsha it's like you know....

I was feeling tres smug today because one of the things I have kept in my suitcase to wear over next few weeks is a beret I bought last year from one of the Ines collaborations at Uniqlo. Just this very day I read in some fashion piece that they are v in this year - for probably the first time ever I am just on if not sightly ahead of a style curve.

libertyonhertravels · 06/09/2017 22:36

On my way home from MU with mara who looked bloody amazing. The Gucci loafers were on, with cropped jeans, a pussy bow shirt, 40's style hair, pearl studs and Goyard monogramed clutch. In short, she smashed it!

AmberNectarine · 06/09/2017 22:40

I spent the entirety of year 11 (2000) wearing a midi skirt and carrying a traditional leather satchel. I was only about 12y ahead of the times.

littleredpear · 06/09/2017 23:00

I spent a lot of the early 90s with a white t on under a lacy negligee 😁

Topshop is full of them now...

AmberNectarine · 06/09/2017 23:13

I'm pretty sure I was doing dungarees before they went mainstream. I remember the horror from you lot.

shopafrolic · 07/09/2017 07:56

MrsPear hi and welcome. Stick around. There's loads of things I lust after but will never ever be able to afford - YSL tux, this Goat jumpsuit that Suranne Jones wore on Jonathan Ross on Friday etc etc etc
In fact I have a whole Lust List Pinterest board for it Grin
Marsha I am having to dig deep. Currently I'm ahead of trend in my village by wearing white boots. But technically KJ did that last year. To be fair, most things are ahead of trend in the village! So I'd have to say Cowboy boots - I bought a pair from Wembley market and started wearing them, they came (back round) into fashion two years later so I stopped wearing them.
Mara your outfit sounds fab - glad you guys had fun. Lib I may FaceTime you guys on Saturday to wave from afar?

AmberNectarine · 07/09/2017 08:28

Really feeling my outfit today: Black skinny trousers and oversized white shirt (both gap), cinched at the waist with the Gucci belt, Prince of Wales check boyfriend blazer from Zara, black suede Lowland boots and the LV Neverfull. Feels fresh and autumnal.

It is nice to be back in work clothes, I'm a lazy dresser by nature and have spent the summer in denim shorts and a vest really.

maradesbois · 07/09/2017 08:51

Hello!

MrsPear that's the spirit!

Thanks lib, dh loved the hair, less so the shoes! Looking pretty fine yourself, love the dark green trench and kudos for sticking faithfully to your autumn colour palette right down to the tights.

Marsha yes, comfy that looks good is the best. Good question, I was ahead of the game for toga pulla boots, got mine years ago, maybe 2012 ish, when they were very first out and before they were a blogger thing or copied by high st, pale grey suede that was exclusive to nap.

Amber good ootd.

Am currently in exercise stuff, going to shred then tons of admin stuff to get through. Out tonight, think I will wear the H&M floral dress with the chloé block heels and navy trio.

libertyonhertravels · 07/09/2017 08:57

Ha I remember being horrified at your dungarees amber. Today's outfit sounds great.

Shop that's a great idea. You'll have to have a drink in hand too Smile

I'm WFH today at my friend's house. Wearing grey jeans and navy baseball style long sleeve t-shirt, mustard cardigan and green Nike trainers.

queencerulean · 07/09/2017 09:47

I don't think I've ever been ahead of the curve Grin

Glad you had a lovely time mara and lib. Outfits sound lovely.

Today I'm going sofa shopping!

OP posts:
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/09/2017 12:04

Me neither QueenC. I can think of a few times I've somehow adopted a trend quite early on in the curve (eg putting a statement bag strap on another bag... everywhere now) but never before the curve. I'm an unashamed sheep.

Hello MrsPear, stick around :)

Feeling smug as I've decided what to wear on Saturday, as long as it looks ok on of course and the weather forecast doesn't change.

shopafrolic · 07/09/2017 13:36

Hope you find a fab sofa QueenC I hate the one we chose a couple of years ago. Way too big and dark leather - too overpowering for the room but too £££ to change now.
I ordered this top yesterday because clearly I don't have enough stripes already - someone HELP ME!

Stokey · 07/09/2017 14:24

Good question Marsha.

I've pretty religiously worn trainers with dresses and skirts long after and before that was a thing - Don't think that's being ahead of a trend, just being out of fashion for a looooong time. Same goes for enormous jumpers.

Amber you were definitely way ahead of the game on the dungaree front. And think you've inspired me on the double-breasted jacket too.

I've sent back the Boden single-button one back as it was too small and am hunting around for another. This navy pinstripe one in &OS is lovely, real wool, but even the 34 is massive. I did check with the SA as I really wanted it but she agreed it was big beyond slouchy. I'd recommend it to anyone else who's looking and is size 10 or over. They had some great red snakeskin boots too but I can't see them on site so maybe they're about to sell out.

Checked out Arket too, useful rather than inspiring IMO. I'd didn't feel the urge to try anything on.

I bought some pewter loafers from Dune too, hopefully they won't be too rad for my conservative new job!

shopafrolic · 07/09/2017 16:20

I can totally see you in those loafers Stokey - fab

MrsPear · 07/09/2017 19:51

Oh I love those loafers stokey

I really can't do double breasted - wrong shape body!

Everyonelovessparkles · 07/09/2017 20:03

Glad mara and lib had a nice catch up. Outfits both sound good. Glad the Gucci shoes are comfy mara, I so can't be doing with uncomfortable shoes any more getting old

Hope you like the belt when it comes littlered Smile

How will you wear the Gucci t'shirt amber? I've seen it on a lot of instagram posts of people wearing it all different ways and think it looks good. Outfit today sounds good.

I don't think I've ever been ahead of a trend either Grin. I've always tended to just buy what I like so have never really had a 'signature style' and just had pick'n'mix approach to fashion.
