Recently discovered Korean "Italy towels" and they have all but got rid of my keratosis pilaris and severe dry skin

I just wanted to share my event discovery. They are Korean exfoliating product called "Italy Towels" (you can find them on Amazon by searching "Korean Italy Towels" ) which are like a little exfoliating glove but miles better.
I have really terrible dry skin on my arms due to ill health and bright red keratosis pilaris.

I have used them for around a month (after a long bath), along with my regular body lotions and the difference is astonishing. My KP (which was visable from the other side of the room) is all but gone and I no longer have dry skin. The difference they have made to me is incredible, I no longer feel like I have to cover up even in heatwaves.

Just wanted to give them a shout out because they are cheap and really work.

Haven't used it yet either. I hate baths so will have to force myself into it some evening. Will update when I do.

TheMasterNotMargarita · 18/07/2017 21:09

Ive managed 3 times so far but I never get long enough to soak in the bath!
However I would say that my skin is softer, particularly on the backs of my arms. My legs are a work in progress but definitely improved so I'm hoping if I keep on even once a week will help.
I think if you have time to soak it would make a big difference.

Pinkvici22 · 18/07/2017 21:11

I've used them twice now after a long soak. Not noticed a massive difference yet - I do exfoliate regularly though with a S&G scrub and flannel..

EnidButton · 19/07/2017 02:38

That's a shame Ma. Disappointing. Maybe you were super smooth to start with. Did you soak like Master did?

Pink I feel like that's the result I'd get too. I'll wait a bit longer to see if anyone else loves them.

Thanks for the updates. Smile

I'm going to check these out and will report back. Thank you!

ThinkOfTheHorses · 19/07/2017 03:14

The Lush Scrubee cured mine!!

SoupDragon · 19/07/2017 07:42

I haven't used mine yet as I've not found time for the required long soak in the bath.

EnidButton · 19/07/2017 13:12

It's been to hot recently for long baths too.

EnidButton · 19/07/2017 14:07

*too hot

SoupDragon · 19/07/2017 23:04

I found time for a 30 minute soak. I I shed skin like a lizard! I think I could have got the same effect with sandpaper :o

My elbows feel smoother after just this one go, as do my knees. I'll have to wait for daylight to see any visible effects.

StormyLovesOdd · 21/07/2017 16:57

Mine have arrived today, very excited to try them later - I'll report back

SoupDragon · 21/07/2017 17:06

I'm very impressed. I can't believe the improvement in just one use. My skin must have been awful to start with!!

Puffpaw · 21/07/2017 17:11

Amazing, I had a long soak, drained the bath, patted off the excess water with a small towel and scrubbed, it peeled the skin off. There was a pile of dead skin in the bottom of the bath and I had a shower after. Love them!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 21/07/2017 17:11

I use one on my feet. I marked it, of course.

Puffpaw · 21/07/2017 17:11

My skin was silky smooth after.

Timefortea99 · 21/07/2017 17:22

Is it very effective on feet?

QueenoftheAndals · 21/07/2017 17:54

Tried mine for the first time tonight and the towel shrunk to half its size as soon as it was wet! Is this supposed to happen?

SoupDragon · 21/07/2017 18:31

Mine shrank too but I think it might stretch back.

KimchiLaLa · 21/07/2017 20:19

I used mine, it did make my KP smoother but I think I'll need to use it regularly to see any marked difference. I may start using it in the shower as I can't have a bath every night!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 21/07/2017 21:36

It does work actually.
I use a Sholl battery powered file and this is just as maintenance.

Definitely made a difference on my arms and knees though.

MaryLennoxsScowl · 21/07/2017 22:14

I just read back and I didn't do it right, I did mine in the bath after soaking. I did get some skin on the towel and the bath was manky after, and my arms were very smooth, really actually silky. It didn't make as much difference to my legs though, the KP is too tough there. Maybe I should try it with the preferred method and persevere (lazy). I was very scaly before so that's probably why it had an effect despite not following instructions properly.

MaryLennoxsScowl · 21/07/2017 22:14

I mean I didn't let the water out and just lifted my limbs out of the water to scrub.

Wellhellothere1 · 22/07/2017 11:22

I've read through the whole thread but I still can't really see if anyone has posted detailing if the mitt should be used wet or dry. I used it damp with soap and it didn't really work for me. Can anyone advise?

StealthPolarBear · 22/07/2017 11:26

I used it wet with soap after a shower and it did nothing. Am assuming I should have had a bath.
