Recently discovered Korean "Italy towels" and they have all but got rid of my keratosis pilaris and severe dry skin

I just wanted to share my event discovery. They are Korean exfoliating product called "Italy Towels" (you can find them on Amazon by searching "Korean Italy Towels" ) which are like a little exfoliating glove but miles better.
I have really terrible dry skin on my arms due to ill health and bright red keratosis pilaris.

I have used them for around a month (after a long bath), along with my regular body lotions and the difference is astonishing. My KP (which was visable from the other side of the room) is all but gone and I no longer have dry skin. The difference they have made to me is incredible, I no longer feel like I have to cover up even in heatwaves.

Just wanted to give them a shout out because they are cheap and really work.

Thanks for sharing the discovery! I used them after a shower earlier this week and some skin came off but it felt a lot smoother. did it again today after a soak in the bath and my arms are supersoft! Legs are soft too but probably need a few more sessions to get rid of all the bumps.
A miracle product ☺

I'm so glad so many of you are getting good results. I'm amazed at how good they are.

Sorry @countyhall just seen your post now.

In SW London there's a fantastic one in Fulham:
www.moroccanbeauty.co.uk

SE London:
www.pashaspa.co.uk

& Harrods has the best one - don't be put off and assume it will be overpriced either, because they have a 'Discovery Hammam' 1hr treatment for £45, which is very reasonable for the service.

Meanwhile, my Korean Italy towels arrived today and I can't wait to try them out at bath time tonight! Thanks OP 🙌🏻

Think you lot have brought too many of these LOL. I've just clicked on the ebay link and the price is now £103.14 for a pack of 3 cloths, think I'll stick with Amazon :)

testing123testing123 · 06/07/2017 21:21

I bought at this on eBay [[http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152380829003 these]] on ebay, as boycotting amazon. Only used them once so far so will report back when I know more!

testing123testing123 · 06/07/2017 21:23

Messed that up! these

Malermalergoni · 06/07/2017 21:44

Don't want to piss on the parade....but viscose rayon production is really toxic. Bad for workers, bad for the world. Google it!

LizTaylorsFabulousTurban · 10/07/2017 18:58

Just used mine for the first time. Have been a Clinique Sparkle Skin user but recently discovered that contains microbeads so wanted an alternative. Just seen Malermalergoni's post and that's disappointing. The cloths bloody work though. Have a waxing like mild irritation on my legs but they are so smooth.

OlennasWimple · 10/07/2017 19:02

Gold Bond cream for bumpy skin works brilliantly on my upper arms (not sure if it's available in the UK, though)

LazyDailyMailJournos · 10/07/2017 20:49

I love a Korean beauty product - have just ordered some. I'll be thrilled to bits if they sort out my KP as I've battled with it for years.

Can someone talk me through the order? Am I right in thinking:

Quick shower for cleaning purposes;
Long bath - 25 to 30 mins with no soap/bubbles;
Use the towel thingy with long sweeping strokes - for how long?

Do you use it on wet, dry or damp skin?
Do you put any cream on afterwards?
How regularly do you use the towel thingy?

MaQueen · 12/07/2017 09:39

Mine actually arrived yesterday. So I soaked for about 20 mins in the bath (which is my maximum boredom threshold).

I dabbed my skin dry, wet the Korean cloth and scrubbed away for 10 mins. Didn't see any dead skin slough off and skin isn't particularly smoother.

Should I soaked for longer?

butterflyfree- can you please tell me more about hamman? what do you wear? is it open plan or are you treated in private room? really interested but very body conscious- txs

problembottom · 12/07/2017 12:15

Ok I'm sold on this Moroccan bath! Am googling where to have one in Manchester...

ButterflyFree · 12/07/2017 12:48

Hi @badasscafe1 - the ones I've been to have always been private; just you and the therapist who will do the application of the mud mask & the scrubbing. In UAE we just wear those delightful little disposable paper thongs, but when I do it here in the UK they've always been a bit more conservative and asked you to bring your own bathing suit or bikini.

I think it's generally Turkish hamams that have a communal hamam area. Moroccan tends to be private, but double-check before you book as it may differ from place to place.

badasscafe1 · 12/07/2017 14:50

butterfly- thanks- would be going to one of the London ones you mentioned-- is harrod's your top choice?

CaseStudyResearch · 12/07/2017 18:16

Let me know if you find one , problem!

lemony7 · 18/07/2017 18:37

I'm gonna give these a try. I'm SICK of ingrowing hairs! Thanks for the heads up.

SleepFreeZone · 18/07/2017 18:48

Cracked heel cream with urea works for KP on upper arms and elsewhere.

toastyarmadillo · 18/07/2017 18:51

Baa baaa whoops me too I just bought one!

Gatekeeper · 18/07/2017 18:53

Has anyone has any success at treating facial KP? My 13 yr old son has it along his jawline and he is very self conscious about it

Timefortea99 · 18/07/2017 18:55

Mine are taking an age to arrive from Amazon

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 18/07/2017 18:55

My sister bought me a Japanese seaweed towel-is that something like?

Houseworkavoider · 18/07/2017 19:08

Baaaaaaaa!
Has anyone used these on their face?

EnidButton · 18/07/2017 19:12

How are people getting on with them? (Those of you who ordered early) I was kind of presuming they weren't that amazing for everyone as there hadn't been any updates but maybe you're all busy scrubbing away. Grin

MaQueen · 18/07/2017 19:16

I have used it once so far Enid didn't notice a huge difference tbh
