Recently discovered Korean "Italy towels" and they have all but got rid of my keratosis pilaris and severe dry skin

I just wanted to share my event discovery. They are Korean exfoliating product called "Italy Towels" (you can find them on Amazon by searching "Korean Italy Towels" ) which are like a little exfoliating glove but miles better.
I have really terrible dry skin on my arms due to ill health and bright red keratosis pilaris.

I have used them for around a month (after a long bath), along with my regular body lotions and the difference is astonishing. My KP (which was visable from the other side of the room) is all but gone and I no longer have dry skin. The difference they have made to me is incredible, I no longer feel like I have to cover up even in heatwaves.

Just wanted to give them a shout out because they are cheap and really work.

Bought a pack off the back of this thread and me and DP just gave them a go.
I don't have KP so can't comment on that but I do love a good scrub and these were certainly abrasive!
I found that where I had burnt (pasty white girl here, no tan!) a few weeks ago sooo much came off there and apparently on my back too. Really dirty looking skin too and I am a very clean person! Didn't find much came off on my legs or arm though. Weirdly lots came off my hands Confused
Not sure if maybe I should have soaked for longer and then dried off a bit more too but still, feeling super soft and smooth now especially as I did a full body moisturise afterwards and my legs are all shiny too.

Would love to know the deal with cleaning the cloth and how many uses i can eke out?

ButterflyFree · 03/07/2017 00:10

@countyhall No idea about any Korean baths or spas but if you're looking for a good scrubbing I would highly recommend a Moroccan bath (also known as a Moroccan hamam) as it's basically the same concept, and there are plenty of places that do it around the UK. If you're in London I can recommend a few.

I also bought a pack of 4 from Amazon off the back of this thread and am eagerly awaiting my delivery 😬🐑

They look to be the same thing umpteenth!

If they shrink, you can pull them back to size.
I wash mine out with hand washing liquid in the sink and dried over the towel rail. I am now onto my second one after a month, I might chuck the other one in the washing machine to see how it fairs.

I mean washing liquid for hand washing clothes, rather than hand wash! Apparently I'm always posting on my own thread after having partaken in a drink or 3.

Baaaahhhhhh.... Hoping they will fix my elbows and knees too.

mowglik · 03/07/2017 00:25

I've been using these for a couple of years now and I have stopped buying body scrubs as my skin is so smooth as a result of using these mitts.

I also never have dry flaky skin anymore, used to be plagued by it in winter but a quick scrub with the towel every few days sorts it out.

I recommend Korean towels to everyone, I usually get mine from eBay

allthingslipsticks · 03/07/2017 00:39

I've just ordered some - thanks OP!

Scrumpernickel · 03/07/2017 11:15

I've bought some too. Looking forward to giving myself a good pummelling.

whyhastherumgone · 03/07/2017 11:17

i love them they are brilliant! I used to get really dry elbows and knees - not any more - no ingrowing hairs or streaky fake tan either! it's
made me
want to try more korean beauty products

KimchiLaLa · 04/07/2017 22:31

Just tried one. I had a long, 25 min bath (long for me), and then wet it, and then went at my skin, especially my upper arms where I am sure I have KP. I expected to see lots of skin just sloughing off as others have reported and I didn't see a lot
Of that, but once I got out of the bath, I saw a lot of what I can only describe as dirt/skin/something left behind, so I guess it did something! I don't ever see dirt after a bath, so I'm hoping those are skin cells. Will try again next week on my KP.

spectacularvelvet · 05/07/2017 09:27

I got some! I used on skin after I got out of bath - should I have used them on wet skin in the bath????
My skin feels so soft today

countyhall · 05/07/2017 10:30

@butterflyFree I would love some Moroccan recommendations as yes, I am in London x

Rioja123 · 05/07/2017 20:59

Can someone link to a seller on eBay?

squoosh · 05/07/2017 21:13

Sorry for stupidly long link!

ParanoidBeryl · 05/07/2017 21:15

I've ordered some for DD but Amazing are showing a delivery date of 31 July!

So what is the consensus, in the bath or once you get out?

SoupDragon · 05/07/2017 21:18

🐑

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 05/07/2017 21:22

Mine arrived today. Freshly scrubbed.

StealthPolarBear · 05/07/2017 22:43

Not tried mine yet. Looking forward to it

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 05/07/2017 22:50

Tried it tonight. Had a good soak on the bath and then used the towel while my skin was still just a little damp. OMG. Heaps of dead skin rolling off. My KP is pretty bad but right now my arms are smooth. Grin

EnidButton · 05/07/2017 22:56

Wish the delivery time wasn't so long now. Want to order some but have no patience waiting for deliveries so 3 weeks feels a bit much,

Hairq · 06/07/2017 07:08

I tried this the other night. My skin feels smooth now but I didn't see any dead skin complexion b off or have an residue on the towel. I did it as instructed though.

Hairq · 06/07/2017 07:08

*coming off

lovemycatsanddog · 06/07/2017 09:02

Ordered mine off ebay, cheaper than Amazon, just waiting for delivery, had email to say been dispatched
Just dry skin for me no kp
Will post again when i have tried them

hownowpowpow · 06/07/2017 09:02

Have just placed my order. Cannot wait to try them. Hoping it sorts the red patches and dry skin at the top of my arms. Sounds like most people are getting good results.
