Jo Malone giveaway - anyone know why?!

Got a free 100ml bottle of Basil & Neroli and a free home candle today with two purchases. So did most of my friends. Anyone else? Anyone know why?

here's an idea, don't know if anyone will be interested...but what about selling on the stuff you don't want here? I know we aren't meant to do that here, but there will be lots of stuff that people don't want and we all seem to love Jo Malone here, so instead of trying to return it or put it on ebay, why don't we do it amongst ourselves...some of us might get a wee bargain and others might offload things they don't need/use/like?

just a thought!

I'd have bought loads more but couldn't afford to, so if anyone here wants to sell on stuff cheaper than the full price, others like me might appreciate it?

So I picked up my order from the Spitalfields store today & the young guy in the shop offered me another lucky dip gift from a bag they had in store, no purchase necessary! Then he directed me out to the front where they were giving out free ice creams.
So for £30 I got a Lime Basil & Mandarin handwash/shower gel, full sized Basil & Neroli candle, Pomegranate Noir soap and an ice cream I'm very happy!

I went into my local Jo Malone today for a spritz of the basil and neroli, wow, it's gorgeous, sort of wish I'd got that now but I got the candle instead....so saying that I'm delighted with the candle too.

the house of fraser store has the "just because" stall within the concession but no staff approached me to tell me anything about it, I wonder if they had the promotion on or if it's just a regular promotion happening now? the products had the striped ribbons on them, but there was nothing to say they had a promotion on.....I would have asked but I was tired and had a headache and couldnt be bothered breaking up the staffs chat....

anyway, I'm just delighted with my smellies

Got my free B & N, and my paid for Pom Noir on Friday, having ordered Mon night. Delivered by polite and efficient Yodel driver! I'm liking the B & N which was a leap of faith, on the grounds that I like herby scents more than I used to. Very happy.

Both my orders arrived today! Wasn't sure on the B&N cologne at first but it's settled to a lovely scent. Just wishing I'd ordered more now...thinking the candle would make a lovely wedding gift for the three weddings I have at the end of this year but I only got 1 in the end. And I want one for our new home too! Mind you I would have been semi bankrupt! X

Waiting on my last two orders

Once a day or so, I keep loading the Jo Malone site just incase they randomly spring some freebies again. I am living in denial.

My goodies arrived today! Grapefruit cologne is beautiful, very citrusy and the candle is lovely too. Thanks op

mine just arrived.
(a) I didn't realise how small 30ml is for the paid scent, so thank goodness for free candle; and
(b) I'm no longer sure if I love english pear and freesia. Ooops. Scent buying online isn't a brilliant idea

Slight change of subject but just been to Aldi and look what I've found for £3.99! Looks very similar and smells beautiful. Has anyone tried one?

Mine just arrived bought a candle and got 30ml perfume free, both in my favourite cardamom and mimosa. Delivery guy woke up napping dd with some very aggressive door knocking but she settled herself back to sleep so feeling even more pleased! I hope they do this again soon, it would certainly encourage me to buy more often. I really hope they aren't discontinuing the scents that were the free gifts, I would be so upset not to have my favourite candle anymore.

One of my orders arrived today. I'm liking the B&N cologne freebie, but not so keen on the French Lime Blossom cologne that I got with it. Would anyone on here be interested in buying it at a reduced price, or do we think I could exchange it at a Jo Malone store?

My candles have arrived. I wish I had ordered more but I spoke to them on we chat and they told me candles are travel sized. So I bought one candle and got free one.

These are perfect for my hard to buy for Christmas people. Just need to buy some more ribbon to make them match or the sisters will know one was free

Or just get rid of ribbon, wrap up and use another plain ribbon on the outside?

and french lime blossom is indeed gorgeous!

My three (!) 😳 orders weee delivered today. I've given away one body wash to my lovely mum and kept the rest! The B&N is a lovely summery fragrance and the O&S is gorgeous - smells a bit masculine initially but after a while develops into a warm, sultry scent. It's very similar to my fave perfume Santal 33 by Le Labo, so I am absolutely chuffed.
