Jo Malone giveaway - anyone know why?!

Got a free 100ml bottle of Basil & Neroli and a free home candle today with two purchases. So did most of my friends. Anyone else? Anyone know why?

Yes I've had 3 dispatch emails. Nothing's actually arrived yet though!

Would also like to join the just missed out on Rose and Oud body crème support group. I f*cking had it in the basket at 10.30am but thought 'oh do I actually want the cream? maybe I'll hold out in case they offer the cologne version later'.

Paradox of (perceived) choice. Lesson learned.

I would have liked the rose creme, but I got the Amber creme already so musnt be too greedy.

Are you allowed to exchange the bought items in store? I thought you had to post it back?

I'm surprised the HTTP said not secure - are other Estée Lauder websites the same?

It's a really reputable company that I've shopped with for years so I don't have any worries but can see why that would be alarming!

Can't remember re: exchanging website items in store but it's the same company not like Zara who are SHIT and when you try to swap something in store they say 'Zara.com is a different company'. Right. For what unsavoury purpose I don't know ... unless it's just to piss off customers. Anyway... as you were.

I did order mine on Monday lunch time - maybe before the rush. All from my account. Have had shipping confirmation for order 3 but not order 4 that I made yesterday

Thank you SO much for this thread. I have got my friend and my grandmother some lovely presents. Am very short of cash at the moment due to being a bridesmaid, so being able to get £80 worth of stuff to give them for £40 is a total godsend.

It is secure, the jomalone.co.uk doesn't show https but as soon as you go to anything like your account, checkout or payment pages it changes to https.

For those not having a dispatch email yet check your junk mail, mine have all gone in there.

If feel like we need a continued Jo Malone club now where we can discuss any new products we've tried (not that anyone will be buying anymore for a while!!)

Disappointed I can keep playing the game today, it was getting very addictive! Looking forward to hopefully receiving my orders today!

I ordered on the 20th (late in the day though) and haven't had a dispatch email yet....

The game messed with the head...do I buy this and regret not getting it later, or do I hold out for a cologne, especially as 100mls have been given out... feeling a bit broke now but excited to receive orders, friends and family are in for massive treats this year!

@ssd I agree! It's genius! I'm the same! I have only had one jo malone product in the past, it was amazing, but I wouldn't usually buy it for myself. They give loads away to bloggers for promotion, maybe they expect this stuff to flood Instagram, which it will, more marketing for them!

Me neither, it was a 'special birthday' present when I did have some.

Well to be fair they've made a few pennies just off this thread alone, look how many of us have bought things we've never tried and have bought for the first time. Whatever their reason for wanting things sold off quickly, they've certainly achieved it and have cleared more than they would have in a 50% off sale (which is pretty much what they have done).

I feel like a little white mouse in some elaborate experiment and have blindly played into the marketing strategies of the fat cats.......

How about everyone lists the colognes they like? I figure people may well like similar groups of scents, so it may help in deciding whether to go for a new cologne if another lucky dip comes around! We live in hope!

I love English Pear & Freesia, Peony & Blush Suede, Nectarine & Honey, Wood Sage & Sea Salt (all for day) and Dark Amber for winter or evenings.

Pomegranate Noir however smells like toilet cleaner [Prepares to be beaten to death by a stampede of MNers brandishing empty JM gift boxes]

2 out of 3 have arrived I am unboxing as we speak!

The amber and lavender bath oil smells very masculine I may try and swap it

Peony blush and suede was 'my scent' from about 2013 until Basil & Neroli came out in September 2016.

I like pomegranate noir - wearing it today. I didn't always because it was the most popular and I was trying to be different but I do like it!

I also like blue agave and cacao but not even sure they still do it. 154 I think.

English pear and freesia was my wedding scent, also like blush suede (mum's fave), gone for a wild bluebell cologne in this extravaganza and looking forward to getting into it. I love the velvet rose and oud but can't justify the extra ££ for the intense, and it doesn't come in 30ml sob
