We have dusted down our Gigis and boyfriend shirts. We are desperately trying to avoid melting in MMFs. We are planning capsule holiday wardrobes. We are getting ready for summer gorgeousness......come and join us for as we wait for the temperatures to soar.....

So sorry to hear that Stokey, how awful. How about astley clarke and monica vinader?

Had a fun night last Friday at the mini MU, everyone looked great, hope there's another one soon!

I can't stop reading about the fire, it's just so so sad and awful and makes me feel ashamed of this country. I have friends who live at the top of a similar cladded block in London, they are understandably worried.

All the sales have started and I've bought nothing so far. Then this morning my debit card got cloned and blocked. Maybe for the best? Grin

shopafrolic · 16/06/2017 16:13

Monica Vinader have their sale on ATM

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 16/06/2017 17:30

sorry to hear you were burgled Stokey what a horrible feeling to come home to. i hope you can make some fab new memories with new pieces though i know they can't replace truly sentimental things

blair i can't stop reading about it either, it's so so awful. I also can't believe that certain newspapers have been naming someone as being to blame for the tragedy even though no investigation is complete yet. They have no business naming anyone at this stage and apportioning blame. FGS not all the victims have even been found yet nevermind identified and it just smacks of starting a witch hunt. They ought to wait until a full investigation has been done before there is any further reporting on potential causes for it Angry

no sales shopping for me either, i almost bought an off the shoulder top today but i stopped before i got to the tills and decided it was too much money for such a 'fashiony' item and i might consider it if it were cheaper but i don't want to pay a lot for something thats going to be out of fashion in a few months.

Everyonelovessparkles · 17/06/2017 08:02

stokey sorry to hear about the break in. Not a nice end to a holiday.

blair what a nuisance about your card.

Back from holiday now to a mountain of washing! At least the sunny weather is continuing which is nice. and helps the washing dry. Saddo.

No real plans for the weekend. Might have a picnic tomorrow for Father's Day and a visit to see MIL. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Smile

shopafrolic · 17/06/2017 09:01

Morning all. I didn't realise there was such a thing as Icons TV

libertydoddle · 17/06/2017 09:02

How was the holiday everyone? Did the DC enjoy it?

I've been shopping a lot! The hot few days has made me realise that I really don't have enough warm weather clothes and given that I will be in Auckland by Christmas I think stocking up is justified Grin.

Boden has come up trumps for me and I am keeping these:

Ruched dress in green as recommended by Kitty - the colour is great. Also shout out to Amber here as you recommended last year I should get this and I am sorry I didn't listen to you then as it is great!
This dress in the green is great. Nice thick material and looks more smart than casual.
Phoebe dress in snapdragon vine really love this, very flattering.

And I got this dress from LK Bennett which I love. Material is really lovely, very silky and flowing.

And while on the shopping roll I also bought this Other Stories hoody and this Zara shirtdress.

Everyonelovessparkles · 17/06/2017 14:27

We had a lovely holiday thanks lib, the DC had a great time! Great buys! I love them all. Smile How do you find the rushed dress? I'm tempted by them but have a bit of a mum tum and am always worried they will make me look pregnant. I suppose I should just try it, as the beauty of Boden is the free delivery and returns and speedy refund process. Grin

Does any one know how to get rid of that yellow sun cream / pool stainage on white clothes? My lovely kaftan is covered in yellow patches and looks terrible. Am very annoyed about it. I've tried stain remover, soaking over night and sun bleaching all to no avail.

libertydoddle · 17/06/2017 15:21

I had the same fear about the ruched dress which is why I didn't get it last year everyone. But it's double layer material and very thick and stretchy so it holds everything in place! Very flattering. DH lurves it Wink

libertydoddle · 17/06/2017 15:22

No idea about sunscreen stains. Such a pain.

Stokey · 17/06/2017 19:53

I had them after my Minorca holiday too Everyone over all our swimwear. I never managed to get it out I'm afraid & ended up chucking out a couple of bikinis.

Great buys Lib, I really like the stripey shirt dress. I need a couple of new summer dresses too. Had to reject two this morning as they were so thin from too much wear that you could see my undies Blush

Hope everyone is enjoying the heat. I peaked too early last night so have been coping with a hangover, quiet night for me tonight!

Everyonelovessparkles · 17/06/2017 20:26

Inspired by lib's nice buys I ordered the same dress as lib but in blue, this skirt in navy and this top in both yellow and pink. I won't keep the top in both colours, I like the yellow but not sure it's really my colour so got the pink as well!

Been a hot one today. Had a nice BBQ and couple of g&ts. Good welcome home!

Sounds like the Kaftan might be ruined. So annoying that sun cream stainage.

Longislandicetee · 18/06/2017 08:41

Lovely stuff Lib though I have to admit the Zara stripey dress scares meGrin.

Stokey really sorry to hear about the burglary.Sad

And Everyone bummer about the suncream.

Another glorious day today. Have done my morning exercise already and my toe nails. I feel like a high achiever!

Dreamqueen · 18/06/2017 09:10

Everyone I feel your pain about the sunscreen. I've been reading the skin thread and on there they say the discolouring is caused by butyl methoxdibzoymethane. I have many discoloured white things Dr Beckmann?? Stain remover (the rust one) sometimes works.

In other news my sister has arrived. She doesn't travel light as you can see. She brought me loads of goodies from home. About to have a full day of art galleries and west end shops. . Save me somebody. She's dangling alcohol as the carrot at the end of the stick.

Sounds like a fun day ahead dream.

Blingy Grin the Zara stripy dress is amazing. I wore it yesterday. Total love. A possible MU outfit.

Have just hoovered the house and tidied as we have friends coming for BBQ lunch. Am a sweaty mess now.

Stitchosaurus · 18/06/2017 13:20

Is everyone else melting? It's so hot! I don't think I'll get out of the water on holiday next week.

I bought my dress for my brother's wedding yesterday - this Ted Baker one with matching bag
I also bought a hat/headband thingy here

We had done a lot of walking so I couldn't try on shoes as my feet had swollen up so much in the heat!

Also picked up another kaftan for Menorca as I don't think I'll want to wear actual clothes much! here

I think I might have to check out that ruched Boden dress as it sounds lovely, especially if it holds everything in place!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sun

Dreamqueen · 18/06/2017 15:44

Stokey the yellow Camper shoes are on sale. £82. Just tried them on. They're very nice.

MarshaBrady · 18/06/2017 20:22

Evening hot voguettes. Love this weather, makes me feel at home.

I love your shopping Lib and Everyone

Dream have a fabulous time with your sister, a lovely gift

Stitch ace shopping for the wedding

Finally! Have booked our summer holiday, after lots of hunting around, landed on a resort on Crete. Cannot wait!

shopafrolic · 18/06/2017 20:35

Evening all. So so hot. I've been shopping with DH in Milton Keynes - a few bits for holiday which I'll link tomorrow. But in the meantime have any of you seen Riviera? New drama on Sky. The properties, cars, artworks and fashion are insane. No idea about storyline as yet but SO STYLISH.

shopafrolic · 18/06/2017 20:36

Yay for booking the holiday Marsha

MarshaBrady · 18/06/2017 20:38

That sounds great Shop, love that kind of thing, annoyed we don't have Sky!

MarshaBrady · 18/06/2017 20:39

Stokey really sorry to hear about the burglary. So awful, hope you're all feeling ok

shopafrolic · 18/06/2017 20:42

Damn Marsha I keep thinking of you as I watch. So wow.

MarshaBrady · 18/06/2017 20:45

Someone at work was raving about Now TV - does anyone use it?

Just googled, and I think you can watch it through there. It looks SO good.

Will try and join.

MarshaBrady · 18/06/2017 20:57

Hmm maybe not reviews look bad (Now). But do want to watch it gah

shopafrolic · 18/06/2017 20:59
