We have dusted down our Gigis and boyfriend shirts. We are desperately trying to avoid melting in MMFs. We are planning capsule holiday wardrobes. We are getting ready for summer gorgeousness......come and join us for as we wait for the temperatures to soar.....

shop I've just been watching that sbd was going to post about the clothes! I love Julia Stiles's wardrobe in this. It is a very stylish programme! Not sure about the plot but will keep watching if only for the clothes and views

Whenever it gets hot I have a sudden panic of what I'll wear to work all week. I've spent pretty much all day looking online at dresses/shorts but not a lot I like. I was going to try boden shorts in a longer length but they'll take 2-3 weeks. The heatwave will be over by then

DS is poorly. He had a temp of 39 yesterday, not gone down overnight. Sore throat, off his food. Had so much stuff I needed to get done today. Gah!!

Poor minishop. A fever in this weather must feel awful. I soaked DD's hair this morning and put it in French braids while wet to help keep her cool.

QueenC for the first time ever I feel I am ok for work on a hot week with the Boden dresses.

I need new bras but the thought of trying new ones on in this heat is horrible. Will wait till next week.

Shop we watched the first ep of Riviera last night. Great clothes, scenery and cars, looks promising. I nudged DH and pointed out she was wearing a Gucci belt with that shirt dress. I thought "I must come on here to say it's a great example of how to look expensive if you live on the French Riviera "

The cobalt kaftan is fab! I really want to get some cobalt in my wardrobe even though it's a winter colour.

i think im okay for the weather in terms of clothes, at the very least, i have dozens and dozens of tees i can change into if i get too sticky

OOTD is an old laura ashley skirt in green with purple, green and yellow polka dots on it and a grey vest top. too hot for anything else right now

I spent today in a very big office in central London. The best dressed women in the heat were all wearing shirt dresses. I'm on a mission now to find a couple more.

I quite like the challenge of dressing for work in this heat. It feels sort of like having a capsule wardrobe, because there are so few things I can wear

I own three shirt dresses, but 1 is very dressy and the other 2 are too short for work. The Cos one in the article is nice.

Thanks for all the get well soon vibes. miniShop has an upset stomach now too bless him. Really out of sorts. He is so rarely ill. And he's worried as it was the dress rehearsal for his school play today, and he'll miss at least tomorrow's performance.

No air con where I work unfortunately; I wore a loose fitting linen dress and moved very slowly

Loved the weather at the weekend, which we spent mostly socialising. Silver gigi's & ruby woo Sat pm and monsoon maxi dress and purple havs on Sunday.

Stitches I love that Ted Baker dress and am tempted. Dh and I are attending a few hospitality events this summer and it would be perfect.

6 months of not being able to exercise (and 4 months of it laid up) means I have gone from flat tum to mum tum and a few of my clothes are a bit snug. Slowly building up my fitness again but I think it's going to be a loooong summer.. By coincidence we have no big beach holiday this summer which i am not sad about for the sake of my vanity! On the other hand, the weight has gone to my boobs which dh err quite likes.

That cos shirt dress does look nice. Julia stiles had a good range of shirt dresses in Riveria . I think they do look smart whilst being cool, and often they are made of cotton.

I did an oasis order which is arriving tomorrow so will link then as I imagine most of it will go back.
The jigsaw sale has started but no really good reductions. There's a couple of things I may be interested in if they get reduced further.

I went onto the jigsaw site earlier but it didn't say anything about a sale . Too tired now so will check tomorrow.
