We have dusted down our Gigis and boyfriend shirts. We are desperately trying to avoid melting in MMFs. We are planning capsule holiday wardrobes. We are getting ready for summer gorgeousness......come and join us for as we wait for the temperatures to soar.....

Sorry meant to add, thank you for your kind words about the job. Flowers Am in a better place than last week but still a bit wobbly. X

libertydoddle · 01/08/2017 17:37

Good to hear you are feeling better Blingy. Be kind to yourself, between the health stuff and work stuff you are dealing with a lot. Your day with DH sounds lovely.

On the Tube listening to two women talking about a sex party one of them has been involved in organising and blogs they read about how to get a sugar daddy Shock it's very interesting!!!

libertydoddle · 01/08/2017 17:41

Bernice I bought the Warehouse shacket you recommended. Will try out at home with various things before deciding if a keeper or not. Lovely fabric!

AmberNectarine · 01/08/2017 20:53

I get about 4 child free weeks a year, thanks to my wonderful dad who spirits them off camping etc. Needless to say I use them unwisely.

We are having dress down month at work today so I wore a diesel black/white print shirt, ripped frames and stans. Took my grey Rocco and wore J Crew banana earrings to accesorise!

Longislandicetee · 01/08/2017 21:23

Thanks Lib. Yes feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment.

I did something really stupid yesterday. My team had drinks, which I couldn't really not go to, so decided to go for an hour. Anyway foolishly had big glass of wine. One glass + all the drugs I am currently on = v bad idea.Hmm

Back to links! I like this unusual Jacquemus asymmetric sweater.

I have a few nighties like this Chloe dressGrin.

4 child free weeks Amber? EnvyEnvyEnvy

Everyonelovessparkles · 01/08/2017 22:15

Great capsule wardrobes lib. Hope the warehouse jacket is a keeper. Interesting conversation to eavesdrop on!

Glad you are feeling a bit better blingy and enjoyed your child free day. That Chloe dress reminds me of the 90s Grin

I like both bags amber, hard choice. I'm with blingy in Envy at 4 child free weeks! Though my DC are still quite small so hoping to ship them off to my DP by the seaside then they are a bit older. Grin good luck with the extension. Especially if you will be living in whilst it's happening...

fedup I saw some shoes on the kurt Geiger website a bit similar to the Chloe pumps. Will try and find them for you.

libertydoddle · 02/08/2017 00:11

on my way home from a night out with a lovely, lovely friend who I might never see again ( drama queen) fuck... emigrating is hard...

queencerulean · 02/08/2017 06:58

Oh lib, big hugs

Longislandicetee · 02/08/2017 07:02

You won't get rid of us that easily honey. I refuse to think I won't see you again. Big hugs. I know it must be tough. Xxx

Dreamqueen · 02/08/2017 07:50

Oh Lib only met you a few times but will miss you at future MUs.

Thank you for the Radley love. I wasn't sure because of the negative remarks about Radley on MN but it's a great bag.

Wore ruched dress last night . It's very forgiving on my lack of waist.

kittyhello · 02/08/2017 09:40

Morning,

Been lurking but haven't had time to post, dc are out at various activities/sports camps so have a few child free hours.

Dream great bag glad you decided to keep the Radley. I still haven't worn my ruched dresses yet, I bought them in bright colours so will wear them on holidays.

Blingy love that asymmetrical sweater you linked, sorry to hear about the job, seems you have a lot going on at the moment so hopefully another better opportunity will come up soon. How long will you have to wear 2" heels for? Will you ever be able to wear high heels again?

Lib aww I bet you have so many mixed emotions about emigrating - yes to all the positives etc but still a heart tug when you think about what/who you're leaving behind. Ditto Dream re: missing you at future MUs.

Queen lovely blouse you linked and very you. Loved the Anthropologie shoes you linked can't believe how much I've worn my red shoes but sadly I don't need another pair.

Every lovely dress links

Amber I bet you're loving dress down month, looking forward to see which bag to opt for. I love them both. A Goyard tote would be great, I've been lusting after a green one for ages.

Fedup really liked the Fossil bag you linked, it reminds me of a Marc Jacobs bag.

Rosie/Decam come back I miss your links, forever grateful to the Boden chino shorts you linked, got me back into wearing shorts in the summer.

As for me, I've been after a denim shirt dress for ages but none really grabbed me until I saw this, it fits perfectly too. denim shirt dress

DryWhiteagainW · 02/08/2017 09:45

Morning from sunny climes....breakfast by the pool, housemates out playing tennis, my teenaged slobs still in bed....so for a few minutes it's just me, coffee, MNV and Rupert Campbell Black....

Dream I think Radley gets slated because of the naff granny style bags with the annoying dangly dog, but away from those styles they are excellent quality bags. I have had by huge black Grosvenor for 4/5 years , it still looks new despite daily battering and is much better quality than my Fossil bag which is younger.

Liberty that's tough, but you will message/FT your friend and I bet you will have loads of guests MNV trip anyone?

Clothes wise I think I've nailed it. Gigis are all I need. V dressed down. My dresses and shorts are fine.

Amber glad you used your time unwisely and I love the idea of a dressed down month. Bet you learn a lot about colleagues when they can show their individuality instead of the bland work uniform......love the banana earrings esp

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/08/2017 11:07

I'd love dress down month at work for the same reason. I need to check out the banana earrings too because I LOVE bananas (got a banana phone case) and I ate a twin banana today which I got yesterday from M&S Grin

Hello all! Ugh I've been busy, got back from France on Sunday night then had to work at a client yesterday and Monday. And I have a cold. But today I'm wearing my current favourite outfit, RL navy boat neck top and navy lace pencil skirt :)

Lib how exciting that everything is finally gathering steam and moving along... must be bittersweet though with all the farewells.

Congrats on the job Stokey!

Blingy sorry to hear about the job, that is really rubbish, especially when you know they wanted to give it to you.

shop welcome back, your hols looked fab and v relaxing.

Dry glad you're having a good time. I love it when I get a holiday wardrobe just right. Unfortunately I had to wear jeans for the first 4-5 days in France as it just wasn't warm enough for short shorts.

Glad to be back anyone else thinking about autumn?!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 02/08/2017 12:25

lib have pm'd you

ugh, still feeling unwell. the infection i had is gone but i still feel rubbish as an after effect of it. trying to rest as much as i can to get rid of it but it doesn't want to shift!

no fashion news to report, mostly been layering up things as it's been pretty chilly hasn't it! i'm starting to think A/W now, considering replacing my big winter coat. there's nothing wrong with the one i have but i keep thinking about getting soemthing brighter and more colourful than the grey i have already

maradesbois · 02/08/2017 13:48

Helloo,

Am back in London and this rain is thoroughly depressing! How to dress for a start? One I hear you about a bright happy coat as a change from grey, just the thing to lift the spirits.

lib so happy that everything is finally moving. Can feel your energy running through your posts. Definitely have to see you for mini mu before you go.

Blair wtf is a twin banana?

Dry Damn you Campbell-Black...enjoy Smile

Dream the bag looks great.

Blingy really sorry about the job and frustrating company politics, sounds so unfair. Trying to see a bright side maybe you don't need the additional pressure that another promotion would bring. Love your description of the stylish couple btw.

Shop are you home from hols yet?

Was in town yesterday and tried on this APC trench. Love it, cannot justify right now but think it will be an autumn purchase.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/08/2017 16:19

Mara I don't claim to understand how bananas breed/develop Grin but it is basically 2 bananas fused together in 1 skin like this. You can recognise them in the shop because they look really chunky. I've had 2 in my life now lol.

That trench coat looks perfect. You definitely need that colour as well as your navy one!

Longislandicetee · 02/08/2017 20:42

HelloSmile

Love this Gucci dress though would never buy it in a month of Sundays.

Kitty, no idea whether I can wear heels again. If not, then I will have £10k worth of shoes to give away to anyone size 3. so no one thenGrin

So, I am wondering whether I should be considering....loafers. Yes,it is really me, my iPad hasn't been hijacked!!

FedupNagging · 02/08/2017 21:12

Twin bananas, well I never; everyday is a school day on MN Grin

Everyone I've been searching on the KG site but can't see any similar shoes - only sandals.

Love the unusual cardigan Blingy and there are some very comfy sensible flat shoes around. I'll just leave these here runs away

Nice denim dress Kitty - such a pretty neckline.

libertydoddle · 02/08/2017 21:12

Oh those Gucci prints really are fabulous...

Blingy I am not sure I can see you in loafers - what about a slipper style flat?

I've had a hellish day - hungover with lots of intense meetings. I went into Hobbs and I bought a suit! This skirt and www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/321937073354241830/jacket. I haven't worn a suit to work in years but I really liked this one and felt it might be needed for job interviews etc.

Bernice I am going to return the Warehouse jacket. Have tried it with lots of things and like the look but it's annoying me that it doesn't have pockets I can shove my hands into.

One have pm'd you back Smile

libertydoddle · 02/08/2017 21:13

proper link for the suit jacket

FedupNagging · 02/08/2017 21:16

I have a question for you all:

What item of clothing/shoes/accessories did you wish you had purchased this summer but didn't?

Mine is heeled wedges - these in particular or something similar and now I think maybe it's too late?

libertydoddle · 02/08/2017 21:29

For the love of God voguettes DO NOT OPEN the shoe link Fedup just posted for Blingy - consider yourselves warned...Grin

But you have redeemed yourself with the wedges Fedup Smile.

I think it's fair to say I have bought everything I wanted this summer Blush. Still hunting for the perfect tan flat sandal - but think I'll be buying them in NZ at this rate.

FedupNagging · 02/08/2017 21:33

Nice suit Lib - I really like the style jacket. I think you'll maybe have a few more nights like last night before you leave which will be tough but you are headed for a lovely new future.

Amber your week without dc's sounded such good fun. Hope the building work doesn't drive you crackers!

Dry am pleased you're enjoying your holiday; lazing around in the sun drinking coffee (&wine) and a good book is my idea of heaven.

For several reasons, we've not actually booked a holiday yet and I'm getting very twitchy. We hoped to get away end of next month but dh has a couple of contracts in the pipeline now. Rome and the south coast seem such a long time ago now Sad

FedupNagging · 02/08/2017 21:34

Who, me? Halo

queencerulean · 02/08/2017 21:45

Ha ha at fedups shoe link.
I can kind of see you in loafers blingy as they are classic and preppy which suits one side of you but on the other hand they're a bit masculine and not blingy enough.
fedup no, nothing I wish I'd bought. Like others, I'm looking forward to a/w clothes now. My holiday at Easter seems a long time ago and I so wish we were going abroad again instead of to Devon. I know it'll be fun but this weather is seriously pissing me off!
