Not keen on the wedding dress myself, I preferred the bridesmaid dress she wore at Kate's wedding.
I liked Kate's dress (this one, not her own wedding dress), I thought it was elegant but not over the top.
Some of the guests looked as if they were in fancy dress. Each to their own, though.
And yes, Eugenie looked pretty, not just her dress but her whole appearance.

CharlieSierra · 20/05/2017 23:24

I just read on Twitter that the guests had to queue up for an hour and a half at the village hall to go through security checks to get in to the evening party. Shock

quizqueen · 20/05/2017 23:30

Nice to see a bride who hasn't everything on show all hanging out.

Glitteryfrog · 20/05/2017 23:38

They have the same gold sashes with the same pleats. Her dress is similar too. Is she trying to copy her sister?

Nah - little girl dresses all look the same. She'd have to go for something crazy for them not to be pretty similar.

Haffiana · 20/05/2017 23:47

Right, who sent me to the Daily Mail site? The pics are lovely, but the guest dresses are SURROUNDED by the dreaded M&S flared sleeve pink dress. Shock

OneInAMillionYou · 20/05/2017 23:48

Pippa made a beeline for the Federers in 2012 after he won Wimbledon and has been popping up at tournaments since.

I thought the Federers were best dressed by a mile, Mirka looked stunning and her outfit was just perfect. She doesn't always make the best of herself, but got it so right today. I have serious hair envy of her blow dry.

As for her dress, nice ideas but I thought too much fabric in the skirt and neckline was a little too high. I get that she wanted modest and demure but the proportions were just a little off.

Like a previous poster I can confirm that Fed is even better looking in real life, lovely caramel skin and gorgeous eyes and mouth!

Haffiana · 20/05/2017 23:49

And I am clearly the only one who loves the page boy outfits. I love the colours and the Victorian vibe.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 20/05/2017 23:52

Haffiana You're not the only one! I adore the page boy outfits.

toffeeboffin · 21/05/2017 00:01

Can't believe there's so many people on here who have seen Roger in the flesh!

DH told me once if I ever get the opportunity I'm allowed to leave him for Federer Grin

toffeeboffin · 21/05/2017 00:02

Did the Queen attend?

Doesn't look like it..

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 21/05/2017 00:05

I don't get the attraction to Roger Federer Confused I think he has a really creepy face!

Nanny0gg · 21/05/2017 00:23

I must be one of the very few that thought Kate looked awful.

Pippa looked absolutely fabulous and I thought her mother looked lovely too, but Kate looked drab and dowdy and the frock didn't look like it fitted. Made her look even thinner than she is. And whilst the colour was clearly chosen to go with the wedding colours it didn't suit her at all.

Anyone else think that the two sets of parents look very similar?

chickpeaburger · 21/05/2017 00:35

toffeeboffen - why on earth would the Queen attend? Confused

Garlicansapphire · 21/05/2017 01:03

I do quite like Pippa's dress but I get what people have said about the proportions. I sometimes think it happens with Kate too and its something to do with them being a bit too slim with no hips. Says she with no waist...

Kate does look dressed too old, and she really needs to lay off the make up - she wears way too much blusher, eye lines and dark shadow. I thought she looked quite tired with shadows under her eyes.

As all have said some of the guests look like a dogs dinner, more money than sense. I liked Donna, the red dress, Tom Bradby's wife. I didnt mind Mrs Vogue...and would put Mrs Matthews abovw Mrs Mid.

So her jobs done - married the girls off well. Jus had to compromise a bit on style/looks in their hubbies. But they never have to worry about a single bill again and just get breeding.

toffeeboffin · 21/05/2017 01:35

I've no idea really chickpea - she's a bit removed I suppose.

Probably busy batch cooking or something.

CaveMum · 21/05/2017 03:57

@WhatToDoAboutThis2017 here are the pics of Kate George off (followed by his wobbly bottom lip response).

I thought Donna Air looked stunning.

I'm going to wear a hat like that for my sister's wedding.

misskelly · 21/05/2017 04:45

I thought the Mother of the groom looked great. Sadly, so many decent outfits were ruined by fugly shoes. Someone was wearing espadrilles fgs. Those who tried to play it safe and wear black shoes ruined their outfits because the black looked too harsh for spring.

honeyroar · 21/05/2017 05:43

I thought that Pippa looked beautiful, probably the first time I thought she looked prettier than Kate. She looked extremely happy too. The dress looked really elegant on her - you'd need to have a perfectly toned figure to carry that high neckline and relatively simple dress off and still look good. It would look awful on me! I really didn't like Kate's outfit. It looked crumpled, badly fitted and did nothing for her

DireStraights · 21/05/2017 06:56

She looked absolutely beautiful.

Kates' was A-MA-ZING too [says the sort of anti monarchist]

nigelsbigface · 21/05/2017 07:26

I love it from the front and I like the top at the back but it had too much skirt.
She looked so pretty though.
And great flowers.
I thought Donna air looked quite frumpy. And that Kate looked as if she was dressing around 20 years older than she is and very dull. She needed lots of make up as the colour of her dress is quite draining I think.
The guest in that sort of floaty psychedelic thing with the big sleeves-why?? I wonder if she thought she was being very 'fashion'. She was but not in a good way.

purplecoathanger · 21/05/2017 07:33

Love it.

redfairy · 21/05/2017 07:55

It was all a bit too traditional for my liking. Half the fun of a wedding is in the planning so I can't see how much fun it was to pull out the old royal family formulae and replicate it I suppose you could argue it was classic but yawn!

NorthernLurker · 21/05/2017 08:02

I liked Kate's dress. I thought it was very clever, pretty but not attention grabbing.
