I didn't know that. But it doesn't really surprise me, tbh. Probably explains some of my grandmother's attitudes.

This Spring I was mostly surprised how these things I was taught as a child still affect us today....

still affect "me".

But probably also other people.

I think her dress is gorgeous. But then my favourite dress of all is the one Lauren Bush wore, which is not dissimilar.

Lauren Bush's dress is amazing but I'm more amazed by the fact she's now Lauren Lauren as she married a Mr Lauren.

Agree Kate's dress makes her boobs look weird, it is a horrible colour too. I really love Pippa's dress though.

I thought Pippa looked nice but the dress was very similar to Kate's. Her hair on the other hand looks amazing and really suits her.

Kate's dress makes her look matronly (I agree that the top gives a saggy impression). I suspect she deliberately didn't want to upstage her sister.

I thought it was funny that there's loads of pics of Kate with the kids outside (where the media's gathered), but a nanny appeared to be waiting at the church door so Kate could hand them over as soon as she stepped inside!

I liked Pippa's dress a lot.
Kate's looked lovely in some photos, not so nice in others.

The woman with the pheasant feathers was great. also Tom Brady's wife and the Vogue woman.

I don't think the little pageboy was really giving two fingers. I think he was counting or saying two of something. Another photo shows him putting his two fingers near his left eye as if to itch it.

I think she looked great. I think after her bridesmaid dress for Kate's wedding she couldn't have gone for something as sleek as that without comparisons being made. Not that it's stopped them trying to compare her to Kate's own dress.

I think Lady Gabriella Windsor's outfit was spot on. Kate looked nice too - she'll be quite limited in the styles she'd be able to get away with in her position (in the Royal Family and as apparent child-herder).

It's very similar to my mums wedding dress (got married in 1960)

Not a goady question (genuinely) but does pippa have a job? She's 33 and I'm not sure I've ever read what she does?

She's written a few books on party planning and recipes and I think she worked for her parents firm but not sure what she does these days.

Doesn't she have a column for a magazine? I think it was on foot of that unintentionally hilarious party planning book she wrote.

She doesn't need to, certainly not a regular 9-5 job anyway. She's probably not on the dole.

What I really liked was the smile on their faces as they drove off from the afternoon reception... both James and Pippa looked just as people should look on their wedding day but frequently don't.

I think the dress is a bit meh to be honest. I don't think OH wow I just think "oh ok" I would not remember it in a weeks time.
