Hi Vintage. The fragrances I've fallen for in dupe version are Caroline Herrera 'Good Girl' and Hermes Galop. I love the dupes, but the dupe Galop isn't as long-lasting as the genuine fragrances I buy.

HysterectomyHysteria · 22/06/2017 09:25

@vintagePerfumista, it's not one of these is it?

Nope. Not as yellow and the leaves on these bushes are fat juicy ones. I'll take a pic when I go out.
They are on every roadside verge and in the middle of motorways etc. Smell fab.

Floofy wine, perfume, cheese, buttons, jewellery, shoes, all saints jackets, sweets etc are all issues for vegetarians. She will face these choices when she is ready. She can either be mainly vegetarian or choose to become a vegan pioneer when gets their almond milk flown in from irrigated deserts in California Confused or she can be a normal teenager and flip back and fore between the two for a while.

I am very impressed with the No19 total reformulation, so many of the originals ingredients are now limited in use or banned because they were allergens (or animal extracts). At times they were so similar. Now need to try the PP dupe, just to compare.

Have had to pop the Luca Turin book in my basket. A sciencey book on perfume mmmm

Been researching notes and ingredients. As a byproduct I think I now have the full list of PP/chanel dupes Grin

Auldspinster · 22/06/2017 10:53

I have Honeysuckle and Jasmine Zoflora which smells nice.

Pestilentialone · 22/06/2017 11:11

SotD was Anais anais which I feel falls into the innocuous category. Then my parcel from 4160 arrived, so I layered up with Doe in the Snow. Loving the combination, just hope I like Doe in the Snow as much on its own.
Auld who needs JM when you can have zoflora Grin
Good article about the reformulations of mitsouko so many reasons and also explains why it was out of stock last time I tried to buy some.

Ramsbottemthesnake · 22/06/2017 13:08

Thanks for that Floofy interesting that Jo Malone's scents aren't very long lasting. They should be for that price! (sorry have name changed - was me asking about the Oud and Bergamot :) )

VintagePerfumista · 22/06/2017 14:01

Pest- I have the PP 19 Dupe. It's unrecognisable! Mind you, in fairness to PP I bought it about 3 years ago when I first dipped into PP. They have maybe fiddled with their formulation.

Auldspinster · 22/06/2017 14:27

I got the PP No19 dupe, wasn't that impressed.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 22/06/2017 15:22

ET Diamonds and Rubies arrived and it's gorgeous! really really nice powdery rose and soft spices. amazing for the price really. have also ordered Diamonds and Emeralds, i saw that it is mainly white flowers and couldn't resist, i absolutely love white flowers

Mrsmartell08 · 22/06/2017 15:37

Oh! Im so glad you like it!! 😁 I've been contemplating diamonds and sapphires but finances won't allow sadly. Do.tey and get your hands on sun moon stars - it's divine and i now KNOW you will love it 😁
Busy busy evening ahead...off to a party at my sister's but got to get everyone else sorted first! 😯
If you like white flowers you will like white Diamonds..
It's a beautifully crafted scent imo (even though it's not my taste)

MrsCocoa · 22/06/2017 19:55

Talking of animal musks and their vegetarian replacements, has anyone mugged up on the risks of exposure to nitro (synthetic) musks in vintage perfume? They are banned now I think - just not sure how much of a worry occasional exposure is?

OCSockOrphanage · 22/06/2017 21:14

Vintage your plant: could it be a broom, cistus I think? What do the leaves look like?

My osmanthus (bought from Tesco on past sell buy date two years ago) has suddenly grown gangbusters gone mad so I have my fingers crossed for flowers and scent this year. I so want to smell the flower IRL.

ThreeForAPound · 22/06/2017 21:30

SOTN is Ealing Green.

I got a tiny sample of this with another purchase about a year ago and thought it was awful. Have been on a bit of a sniffing journey since then, and tonight is the first time I've tried it since. Definitely feeling a bit more love this time. Its not to my usual floral tastes - very herby and peppery and a bit of soap and leather in the dry down on my skin - but I'm intrigued....

Pestilentialone · 22/06/2017 21:55

Can we really go to Zurich to visit Andy Tauer?

Vintage another option for your plant is Italian jasmine.

3,4 a £ must try Ealing Green against no 19 tomorrow and maybe some Eiderantler, must find the perfect green. I have 2 wrists and 2 ankles and can still bend.

Judydreamsofhorses · 22/06/2017 22:01

I'm behind on this thread - I got a new PC at work, and can't remember my password to log in here. Durr. It's been a Chanel 19 week here, and today was Miu Miu. Hope all you fragrant lovelies are well.

MrsCocoa · 22/06/2017 22:25

Pest - quite possibly Grin. Flights to Zurich, returning same day = £63. Not sure we'd get a personal audience however...in fact, I can't seem to establish if there is a RL retail outlet...? Anyone know?

Pestilentialone · 22/06/2017 22:37

Mrs C we could just ask nicely. Grin
He does say his factory is too small to even make coffee. I have a storm kettle and a stainless french press, he will love us.
Am making a list of samples to get off him: L'air du désert marocain (just because) , L'eau (always on the look out for green/ eau de cologne), Tuberose under the moon (need a fragile replacement/tuberose) and must read more to get final two.

MrsCocoa · 22/06/2017 22:44

I'm in Pest - could bring some enamel mugs and maybe make some flapjacks?

Pestilentialone · 22/06/2017 22:54

Sounds a plan Mrs C how do we let him know?

Pestilentialone · 22/06/2017 22:55

But I do have to check first that he makes nice perfume and it is not all hype.

MrsCocoa · 22/06/2017 23:03

Was just reading about Cologne du Mahgreb and thinking we could take the opportunity to put a tick in VPs cistus (query?) box, but I think it's been discontinued.

MrsCocoa · 22/06/2017 23:05

I trust Luca on this Pest. And perhaps we could get him to pass on a message as they seem to run into each other in unlikely places?

Pestilentialone · 22/06/2017 23:26

Tauer don't seem to ship to UK, not even samples, could we get him to pop over to Ealing in August with the fecking samples?

Pestilentialone · 22/06/2017 23:35

I've tweeted Sarah@4160 and Andy@Tauer to suggest they make a deal that gets me samples. I am sure they can find mutual benefit I may be being demanding
