Is now haunting me via ads, with additional horrific items! Thanks MN!

OhTinky there are still plenty of M&S delights to go for. I'll pick one from yesterday: some really lovely Cami vests in lingerie. Sone decent basic colour t shirts and vest tops. And some nice peasant style tops too if that's your bag

originalbiglymavis Grin.

Sadly not!

Went shopping today and think a lot of the buyers for high street shops have went a bit flamenco daft - next are selling a polyester wonder in red black and white. Highly flammable.

Ruffles galore ! And crochet. Horrendous.

There was a gang of senior managers in my m&s today. The big one. Quite close to the dozens of the pink frock. I couldn't resist taking one over and asking what the logic was. They said it was marmite. I asked if it was a mistake. They said they would know at sale time. They asked if I meant colour or style. I said both and pointed out I was holding an 18 and most ladies who were an 18 needed a bra. They said they had absorbed a lot of feedback and asdured me they were getting better and the 64% drop in profits was due to restructuring not dodgy merchandise.

Was quite amusing.

OhTheRoses · 03/06/2017 20:16

Oh and I meant to say they have almost been hidden from sight.

ErrolTheDragon · 03/06/2017 21:53

Well done!Grin

BagelGoesWalking · 03/06/2017 22:12

Ooh, well done Roses! Good on you

EnidButton · 03/06/2017 22:24

I think 'marmite' means they know it's awful. I suppose the head honchos probably leave the buying to people lower down but hopefully it will have made them think. Those sales rails will be heaving with Pepto Bismol pink polyester come August.

EnidButton · 03/06/2017 22:25

Oh and well done for saying something! They need to know what their real customers think.

CherylVole · 03/06/2017 23:04

This is a size 12.

That is so unflattering, how it is hanging from your chest. You look like you have a lovely figure and the dress is working as hard as it can to make you look matronly. Terrible design.

Furball · 04/06/2017 07:52

I have worn something like that before, a few times actually ...................when I'm at the hairdressers Grin

OhTheRoses · 04/06/2017 09:45

Who's going to buy it in the sale though! Even at 1.99 the fabric's wrong for dusters. There may be mileage in signature cushions but even they're old hat.

CherylVole · 04/06/2017 10:39

It made my feet look huge too. Oddly. As they're not. The material is a big fold (look at the hem) that hangs down the front

ElspethFlashman · 04/06/2017 10:59

That doesn't even look good on the model!

Floisme · 04/06/2017 10:59

See I quite like the Boden dress although I've no cause to wear it myself. It's fitted and a much better shade of pink. it looks better on the first (blonde) model though.

Floisme · 04/06/2017 11:16

Actually I'm going to row back a bit. I thought at first the Boden dress had a bit of ruching, of which I am rather fond. But it looks like it's just pulling across her stomach aka badly fitting. I still think the idea's better.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 04/06/2017 11:45

The Boden version is much nicer.

OhTheRoses · 04/06/2017 12:28

Boden have it in a choice of colours at least but why school uniform green?

BitOutOfPractice · 04/06/2017 12:32

I love the green. It's a very good colour for me.

Floisme · 04/06/2017 12:34

Me too - dark green is my black.

OhTheRoses · 04/06/2017 12:34

I have bad associations with school uniform green x

BitOutOfPractice · 04/06/2017 12:49

Perhaps you do but not everyone does and that's why Boden is making green dresses

EnidButton · 04/06/2017 13:50

ohtheroses I've seen a lot if that green around lately. I suit it but avoid it as it reminds me of school uniform too.
