I can't find one on my pesky phone!

I'm happy to start one here if there isn't one running.

Me please! I am going to wedding on 1st July...

JemimaMuddledUp · 21/04/2017 07:56

Right first step - as I'm having a lie in this morning with not a lot to do I have tackled my hands and nails. Exfoliated hands (with some face scrub that doesn't suit my face but is fine on my hands), pushed back cuticles, filed nails, painted nails with nail strengthener, cuticle oil, hand cream. Now letting it all sink in.

OftheUppahUplands · 21/04/2017 08:17

May I join in - I don't have any weddings to go to, but after a year of ttcing and 2 mcs I think I need to do something for me that doesn't involve peeing on a bloody stick! My list:

Continue with C25K
Find & regularly use something that makes a difference to my ridiculously dry hair
Moisturise body daily
Continue with skincare - am really pleased to have got into a good routine. But remember to use sunscreen
Start logging in my fitness pal again as have weight to lose
Feet - footner, then keep up with cream and polish toenails.
Kondo wardrobe

Hi all!

So glad lots of people have joined. I love these threads.

I will read and update properly later. My toddler (not all that gently) physically attacks me when I mumsnet! She's a bit high energy ATM Confused.

Can I join? Feeling frumpy after winter and want to feel better for the summer!

Re cleansing properly, I've found the Body shop Chamomile oil to be very good at taking make up off and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

JemimaMuddledUp · 21/04/2017 18:59

Today's princessing, part two:

As well as my usual double cleanse (as I've been wearing make up) using miscellar water first and then a hot cloth cleanser, I have put the Rodial peel from the M&S advent calendar on my dull/spot prone patches (chin, forehead, temples). I find it irritates if I put it on my cheeks, but it is fine everywhere else. Afterwards I am going to massage my face with Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, also from my advent calendar.

Rockaby · 22/04/2017 08:26

Yes, please join destiny. All very welcome.

I will be nicking some of the ideas on other people's lists! I had totally overlooked drinking water and foot related princessing. I will up my water intake and reduce tea and coffee. Maybe have more rooibos instead.

I did all my hair removal etc earlier in the week and I feel like a new woman! Today I have exfoliated and moisturised all over. I'm going to buy some new batteries for my foot file thing. DH is out tonight, so I will have plenty of time to do yoga which I have neglected since Wednesday. I am going to also try and have less screen time. TV and my phone are a constant distract for me in the evenings. I feel better if I cut back.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend and happy princessing!

Right, back on the MFP calorie counting today. Had a skinny cappuccino in Costa for breakfast and am having soup and Ryvita for lunch. Unfortunately DH has bought an M&S Chinese for two for dinner tonight, but I'll only eat 1/3 of it so should still be within calories!

Bought some perfume and nail strengthener this morning in M&S as I have 10% off beauty on my Sparks card this week. Also bought a Marie Claire magazine as it had a free Neal's Yard hand cream on it. I usually read magazines on the free library Zinio app, but I needed hand cream anyway.

BeetlebumShesAGun · 22/04/2017 20:33

Hello all, checking in.

I had a hair apppintment yesterday which has motivated me to keep on top of it as it actually quite nice when done.
Had a ten minute long dilemma with DH about whether to order pizza, but was strong and am now reheating some batch cooked SW bolognaise. It is actually really tasty so I don't feel too bad.
Might do my nails tonight, and remember to thoroughly cleanse etc if I'm not asleep on the sofa in an hour

LettuceMash · 22/04/2017 20:35

I need this..I need to up my water and sort my nails out.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 22/04/2017 20:36

Starting small- did my lumea today for the first time in ages, plus sat and moisturised my hands and feet while waiting for ds to fall asleep!

allegretto · 22/04/2017 20:43

My list (some of it pinched from previous posters!) is:

One coffee max a day
Stop eating croissants for breakfast at the bar in front of work and get up early enough to actually have something healthy at home!
More water (only had one small glass today!)
Exercise twice a week (I know, it's not enough but I do walk a lot).
Keep using Lumea (mine is actually old Boot's version but it is still going strong so I obviously haven't used it that much!)
Do my nails and toe nails once a week.
Moisturize every day.

VelvetB · 23/04/2017 09:04

Hi, I'd like to join please? DS is a year old in a week and I still don't feel like me yet!! Have a wedding to attend in 9 weeks and would love to lose half a stone before then and feel fab in my dress.

I'll be:

  • cutting right back on booze (1 or 2 glasses at the weekend only)
  • drinking more water
  • manicure/pedicure at home
  • start running again or maybe a few classes at the gym
Rockaby · 23/04/2017 09:43

Yes, all welcome to join Smile!

Hmmm I'm not off to a perfect start with diet tbh, but I've decided I'm treating this as a marathon, not a sprint. Baby steps and all that.

So, positives are that I have massively cut back on refined sugar. I am also trying to cut back on wheat and dairy. I try to eat vegan, or at least meat and dairy free, on weekdays anyway, which obviously helps with the dairy! I did have a glass of prosecco on DH's bday, but am now off alcohol for as long as possible. I don't even enjoy it that much. Have no idea why I bother.

Yoga has been neglected for a while, which is stupid of me as I feel so much better when I do it daily. Will do it today. I also think I'm eating a bit much. I might stick with my planned dietary tweaks for a week and weigh myself next weekend. If I've gained weight I will start logging everything on MFP.

I am going to file my feet today and paint my nails later, though I will do yoga first and see if I have time, as think exercise should be my priority.

I do need this, I had dc4 14weeks ago and I have really lost my way in all things me. I need to
quit my Diet Coke addiction Blush
Drink water everyday
Shower everyday
Remove makeup
Keep on top of defuzzing, nail painting, eyebrows and roots
I need to start taking vitamins ( although dr google has just diagnosed me with a thyroid deficiency) I will see a real dr with my symptoms.
I will try and not walk around with a face like a slapped arse Grin
I need to be generally more organised
Start slimming world again
Stop overthinking shit that has no importance

thenewaveragebear1983 · 23/04/2017 20:43

Bought a new hair dye in a slightly different shade today but when the time came I was too tired to contemplate doing it- will try and make time tomorrow evening.

I've eaten well today on my low carb sugar free plan, but we desperately need a supermarket shop so not much fresh food. Feeling quite positive for the week ahead, especially as it's back to school so I'll be getting my walking in again.

Rockaby · 24/04/2017 07:18

YY life Diet Coke is so addictive! I can't have it in the house. Wtf do they put in it?

bear yes, I did pretty well with diet and actually did my yoga yesterday but didn't have the energy to do anything with my feet.

The screen time thing isn't going brilliantly either. I'm already on my phone here and DD is already watching The Lion King Blush. She was up at quarter to six today and DH has work, so I've given in and brought her down here to watch a movie while he gets some more sleep. Awful parenting I know Blush. We have a toddler group this morning and then might have lunch somewhere before going to the park. We both need some outdoor time. If by some miracle I get her to nap I will do my yoga then. If not, I'll do it after bedtime.

Me please! I really need to do this

  • regular exfoliating and moisturiser
-drinking more water
  • exercise 3-4 times a week
-cleanse/moisturise -shower in mornings rather than evening -better hair care - brushing more regularly, hair mask once a week, regular trim -ironing my nice clothes in advance so I actually wear them -lay out clothes night before
Wishfulmakeupping · 24/04/2017 11:45

Joining in too pls!
I've recently gained 8 pounds :(
From next week - I'm going to eat better
Cut out alcohol apart from nights out which is every few weeks
Exercise I need to tone my arms!
Use skin cream
Have eyelash extensions
Keep my nails nice and neat
Wear all of my clothes ATM I rotate the same few outfits and live in various skinny jeans I need to change it up every now and then and get my legs out (once they are more toned!)

Wishfulmakeupping · 24/04/2017 11:46

Got a uni reunion in June, wedding in July and birthday party in Aug so lots of motivation to get my arse in gear!

Garnethair · 24/04/2017 11:54

I'm in. Will start with removing old toenail nail varnish rather than slamming another coat over the chipped stuff.

JemimaMuddledUp · 24/04/2017 21:51

Today was a good day.

Just under 8k steps (the most I've done in a while)
Ate well - fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, tuna and egg salad for lunch, chicken and avocado salad for dinner, fruit as snacks, lots of water and herbal tea.
Filed and painted fingernails
Exfoliated feet, filed and painted toenails
Shaved legs
Deep conditioned hair
Massaged face with oil after cleansing
Tidied eyebrows
Moisturised body

Back to work tomorrow after Easter break. Have laid out tomorrow's outfit - navy and ivory striped dress, navy cardi, navy espadrilles. Hoping it isn't too cold as I really want to look spring-like!

Taking a salad to work for lunch, plus some fruit as snacks in order to distract from the biscuit tin. Also a water bottle, with the aim of drinking 500ml before lunch and 500ml after lunch.

BeetlebumShesAGun · 24/04/2017 21:53

Hello everyone, welcome newcomers!

I'm currently MNetting from the bath with a glass of wine - allocated for SW!-

Washed my hair, going to blow dry it and straighten as opposed to letting it dry naturally and going to work tomorrow looking like a mad bag lady.

Next on the agenda is remove the 3 week old chipped nail polish... a colleague actually commented on it last week "when are you going to take that off?!?" Blush

Surpriseeggsforbreakfast · 25/04/2017 10:38

Feeling good today! I got out my body brush and had a shower in the morning with Ren rose body wash then moisturised properly and used foot cream. Need to work on the water intake though, haven't had any yet today. I'm also terrible at eating a proper breakfast!

Teaandcake08 · 25/04/2017 11:03
