I have a couple of pairs of Skechers slip on Go Walk, which tick the box for comfort but they aren't the nicest looking. I have mobility issues so prefer flattish shoes, but I can't wear little pumps as I tend to either step out of them, or spread my feet to keep them on (slapping my feet off ground as I walk). Slip on Skechers are fine, I think cos they cover more of the top of my foot.

This is a long winded way of asking for comfy but more dressy than Skechers recommendations please- that will suit skirts or trousers. Closed or open toe /sandals

Cheers!

Very very comfortable and no laces, so very convenient. Plus they don't slip. I bought them in Vietnam though, so I don't know where you could find them in the UK

I would also like shoes that are as comfortable as Sketchers, but more stylish. They have set the comfort bar so high that I am finding it difficult to find other brands that are as comfortable. I also have the same problem with ballet pumps.

Placemarking because I've come down with Plantar Fasciitis and won't be able to switch over to Converse as usual this Spring.

I have a few pairs of FitFlop trainers which are not things of beauty but are not as monumentally hideous as the Sketchers.

Clarks is always worth a look. And when it gets really sunny you can't go wrong with Merrell Enoki

BarchesterFlowers · 02/04/2017 09:55

Camper Peu or Pikolino Lisbon here.

BarchesterFlowers · 02/04/2017 09:56

Lisboa.

ActuallyThatsSUPREMECommander · 02/04/2017 09:57

Talking of Merrell, I'm liking the look of these trainers. What do you reckon?

whifflesqueak · 02/04/2017 09:59

whifflesqueak · 02/04/2017 10:00

haha I am waitress, hear me roar.

I am A waitress, obviously Blush

Orangebird69 · 02/04/2017 10:02

Fit Flops if it's warm and dry. Toms if colder and dry. Dubarry Galways otherwise.

PhyllisNefler · 02/04/2017 10:04

hellokitty I like those- they aren't too bulky looking. Might have a nosey through sport shops in Town

barchester off to Google! Thank you

Supreme those Merrill sandals are nice, again not too bulky looking. They would be spot on for holidays, we spend a lot of time dandering around. Going into Town today so if I find anything I will let you and astonished know

I have Skechers laceup Go Step trainers in plainish colours . Can't do the go walks or the primary colours.

PhyllisNefler · 02/04/2017 10:05

Ah crap, I am too slow typing.

Heading back up thread to catch up

Those Merrell trainers are fab- love them!

Adding Fit Flops, Birkenstocks and Tom to list...

I have lace up Skechers too... you can see why I need a intervention change

I like those Merrel Rants.

Yorkshirebornandbred · 02/04/2017 10:15

I have plantar fasciitis and the only shoes I can wear nonstop are birkenstocks. Very comfy and available in lots of colours and patterns.

BestIsWest · 02/04/2017 10:16

Those Merrels are only £35 in Cotswold Outdoor.

PhyllisNefler · 02/04/2017 10:40

Those Merrels are only £35 in Cotswold Outdoor only in an 8, pity. In addition to not being able to walk in cute, slip on pumps, my feet are an unfortunate square shape- short and wide.

These are the exact ones I usually wear when I can't really be arsed to "dress up".

Ah sorry! I am an 8 so it probably defaulted for me.I hate the way the internet knows what you're up to!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/04/2017 11:59

I have nothing to add about shoes right now, but 'I am waitress: hear me roar' really made me Grin.

PhyllisNefler · 02/04/2017 12:19

I have found them on Amazon, so put them into my basket. If I can't funderstand anything in real life shops, I will order them this evening.

I love my Birkenstocks, i bought them to replace my walking trainers which lasted about 8 years. Still not found an equivalent pair

PhyllisNefler · 02/04/2017 12:44

funderstand? Find, obviously. My phone is an oddball

The Lisboa is very comfortable/supportive - I have got a few pairs, boots & sneakers.

I quite like these and might buy them for this summer (sometimes they are cheap on Amazon).

The leather is always v nice quality.
