I have a couple of pairs of Skechers slip on Go Walk, which tick the box for comfort but they aren't the nicest looking. I have mobility issues so prefer flattish shoes, but I can't wear little pumps as I tend to either step out of them, or spread my feet to keep them on (slapping my feet off ground as I walk). Slip on Skechers are fine, I think cos they cover more of the top of my foot.

This is a long winded way of asking for comfy but more dressy than Skechers recommendations please- that will suit skirts or trousers. Closed or open toe /sandals

Cheers!

Sketchers aren't a thing of beauty, but they aren't that ugly.

I hope your treatment is successful topsyturner Flowers

JaniceBattersby · 04/04/2017 21:48

TheWalkingTiger those trainers are amazing. And also, doubly good, made in Bolton.

I'm on mat leave so they'd cost me nearly a week's cash. I think they're worth it. Grin

They are the holy grail of trainers to me Janice. For exactly those reasons. Then you put them on your feet. Like walking in a hand-stitched cloud that's built to last, light as air and soft as a kitten's paw.

BarchesterFlowers · 05/04/2017 09:08

I like those too tiger.

I love the Bally ones as well, when did Bally get so expensive, I have some things from Bally and don't remember paying ££££££. Mind you it was pre DD who is now 10 (and they are still going strong).

BestIsWest · 05/04/2017 09:23

I love those Bally trainers. I assumed the price was in some strange European currency. But no. Wow.

bluebellation · 05/04/2017 12:24

I've just bought these . They're really light and comfy and, being metallic, have a bit of a nod to being fashionable. The colour is actually more bronzy than it looks in the photo.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/04/2017 19:08

Love the Bally ones but I'd expect them to cover my entire body not just my feet, and do a couple of baskets of ironing too, at that price.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/04/2017 19:09

I've just bought some Geox ones and am really pleased with them. V comfortable and not too hideous looking.

BestIsWest · 05/04/2017 19:17

Quite like the Ecco ones. Just posted a pair of silver Superga back because they were just not comfy but I fancy some metallic ones. What are the Geox Remus?

PhyllisNefler · 05/04/2017 19:20

Oh man, those Bally ones are dear! Lovely though 🤔

There is an Ecco shop near me, might pop in at weekend

I got these from Clarks, super comfortable nod to trainers, also available in dark silver which is quite nice.

Geox Found on a Gay Times website but mine were from John Lewis (far more boring)! I'm not gay but I like the fact that these are gay-approved trainers!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/04/2017 19:58

And I now see that JL now have them in black too, which I love.

PhyllisNefler · 05/04/2017 20:01

Oh I want all the Geox

You guys are great, but my debit card is weeping at me

Those Merrels are only £35 in Cotswold Outdoor only in an 8

All I wear is merrell's, boots in winter and sandals in summer. They fit my big fat feet when little else does!

AvaCrowder · 05/04/2017 22:46

In my or Bally defense they last for ages and wear really well. You can wear them for years.

AvaCrowder · 05/04/2017 22:47

I really want saltwater sandals now.

PhyllisNefler · 06/04/2017 08:10

Oh no Ava - there is no judgement when it comes to shoe purchases - the only person I might fudge the price to is my Mum... cos even though I am 36-and-a-half I revert to being a teenager

BarchesterFlowers · 06/04/2017 08:20

Ava, I have got some eleven year old Bally shoes. I just don't remember paying any more than £200 which is my mental cut off point.

Have they gone up in price massively in recent years. I had them down as R&B priced in my head.

BestIsWest · 06/04/2017 16:53

Like the Geox but I can't do white or black footwear (unless they are black patent when my inner 5 year old comes out).
Had a wander round Clarks and Ecco today and some definite possibilities

PhyllisNefler · 06/04/2017 17:10

Best what is your go -to colour? I have a lot of black, but navy is a close second.

OP posts:
BestIsWest · 06/04/2017 17:37

Navy or tan. I love tan shoes and havcan embarrassing amount of tan bags ( and I am not a big bag fan)

PhyllisNefler · 06/04/2017 17:48

I have recently started going for tan bags too, they go with almost anything and everything
