J-Lo Glow. I can't stop sniffing myself. Any surprise perfume successes?

I'm a bit of a perfume junkie, and I like reading perfume reviews. I kept reading about how JLo Glow was surprisingly nice, so when I went into town on Monday I got a sample strip.

Got halfway up the road from the shop and turned back. Had to buy it. Couldn't stop sniffing the strip!

It was £20! Which means I'm quite happy to splash it all over and save my 'naice' perfume for best and in the case of Joy for never - what was I thinking?

Any other surprise hits out there that I should watch for?

Mumbod, the Jade one is for sale for about £8.99 in a gift pack at Supasavers chemist

AshesandDust · 24/03/2017 20:12

Flower boom roll on oil it's supposed to be a copy of Flower Bomb
but it's much nicer. £5:50 from Amazon

GooodMythicalMorning · 24/03/2017 20:16

Jlo Still perfume is my fave. Glow is good but a bit too summery for every day wear

GuinefortGrey · 24/03/2017 20:34

I love Britney Spear's Radiance, originally an impulse purchase from B&M I've re-bought it several times since from Amazon Blush. Taking notes on this thread now for other cheap and cheerfuls to try.

Perfume parlour sweet cedar and lime. It's a jo Malone rip off and it smells amazing. I just love the scent so much, it's so fresh and long lasting.

And the fig and brown sugar scent. They cost me £3:50!

Marks and Spencer's autograph New York is lovely and I get lots of compliments when I wear it and love it on myself, sometimes mistaken for Chanel. I am very fussy about perfumes I only find one I like every 2 or 3 years.

marthamydear · 25/03/2017 01:26

nightcap - it's yours. PM your address xx

ChocolateSherberts2017 · 25/03/2017 01:37

This isn't cheap but I absolutely love the new men's scent by L'Occitan, Cedrat. It's about £45 but still cheaper than my Tom Ford Grey Vetiver which is £75.

Can anyone recommend similar citrussy clean scents that are cheaper than £45 for daily use?

BusterGonad · 25/03/2017 04:29

I really love SJP lovely as a everyday perfume, I've bought it quite a few times, Ghost Deep Midnight is a absolute favorite. It smells beautiful. My friend wears Ghost Ghost and that is gorgeous too. All three are often on offer in Superdrug and the like and are very purse friendly.

JustGettingStarted · 25/03/2017 05:07

I agree about the Brittany Spears perfume. I've never worn it because I would be embarrassed to tell someone if they asked me what I was wearing, but it's good.

Juicy Couture 'Vive la Juicy'.

I got it for DD4 for Christmas last year and have used it a lot. It's really nice on me.

Also Pacifica 'Malibu Lemon Blossom' solid perfume, and 'Clarins Eau Dynamisante'. Fragonard 'Soleil' too - makes me think of hot beaches.

hollyisalovelyname · 25/03/2017 09:24

ChocolateSherbert
L'eau de Hadrien by Annick Goutal is lovely and citrusy. But it is not cheap.
L'Occitane Verbena.

Loyly · 25/03/2017 12:20

For anyone who likes Lidl's Suddenly Madame Glamour (the one that's said be similar to Coco Mademoiselle): it's half-price this weekend, only £1.99 for a 50ml bottle.

troodiedoo · 25/03/2017 13:21

Thanks Loyly I'll be stocking up!

troodiedoo · 25/03/2017 13:25

ChocolateSherberts2017 they don't come much more fresh and citrusey than ck one. Might not be complex enough for you going on the two you mentioned though. I sometimes layer it over others for a bit of depth.

Lots of the perfumes mentioned can be bought very cheaply at savers. I've had Britney spears, Kay Perry and sjp from there for usually less than £20.

I'd like to add Beyonce heat to the mix. Had lots of complements on it. Also lady gaga which i thought would be musky but is quite fruity.

MitzyLeFrouf · 26/03/2017 12:24

I'm not sure that pooping on the thread is in keeping with the fragrant nature of the subject matter Breadnroses! 💩

Breadnroses · 26/03/2017 13:12

I really can't get on with Next fragrances. I smell lovely for about 3 minutes then.... nada. Gone.

BusterGonad · 26/03/2017 16:03

I won a fragrance spray in a raffle, it's Bath & Bodyworks Japanese Cherry. Blossom. I love it.

Norky1975 · 26/03/2017 16:48

I love Agent Provocateur. Just gorgeous.
New Look perfumes are lovely, "Night" is the nicest.
Boudoir by Vivienne Westwood

Bottlesoflove · 26/03/2017 17:47

My mum bought me a Paris Hilton one circa 2006 and I loved it! 😳
