Join us to talk all things fashion and beauty. The clocks go forward next Sunday (who's bright idea was it to organise that on Mother's Day?!). Longer days and hopefully some sunshine - we're dying to get our ankles out.
All welcome :)

Oops Amber - I'm sure you'll have a great time, is that a work thing? I've never been but would love to, need to organise a girls trip as DH and all his friends have been loads and I would rather not go with them!

Lovely compliment Dry, so true I'm sure!

Liking my OOTD - Whistles skinny navy trousers, navy scoop neck t-shirt, navy Mango blazer with gold buttons, Gucci belt, and black ballet flats.

Longislandicetee · 03/05/2017 11:36

What a lovely compliment DrySmile

Your ootd sounds fab Blair

Everyonelovessparkles · 03/05/2017 13:18

Nice outfit blair and yours from yesterday sounded great too lib. Glad the tests all came back negative.

Oooo dry I've had my eye on that top too but in white. How long is it? Do you think you can wear it with a skirt or is more of a jeans top? What size did you get? It looked pretty big when I was looking at it in the shop. Shame about the shoes. Lovely compliment and very true! You are very stylish.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/05/2017 13:52

That blouse is fab Dry, they do a sleeveless version too now, saw it in store the other day.

I am in LOVE with this dress and trying to justify when I'll be able to wear it this summer. I'm going to Henley Festival - would it be eveningy enough?? (I have never been to a black tie event before!)
I'll probably buy it anyway because I just think it's so beautiful. And the matching top

Everyonelovessparkles · 03/05/2017 14:03

That's a lovely summery dress blair. You could wear it out to dinner to a nice restaurant or smart bar?? I sometimes wear a dressy dress out just because I like dressing up and don't get much opportunity these days Smile. They also do a dress version of that top too in monsoon.

shopafrolic · 03/05/2017 15:40

I'm sending the &OS silver boots back. I still really like them, but the reality is they are hard to wear with most of my jeans, and sit weirdly with trousers, and I don't wear skirts. If they were less £££ then I probably would go for it and just wear them with my black skinnies - but at £90 they are too much. :(
I'm keeping this bad boy though

Good call on the boots shop. If you aren't sure then you probably wouldn't wear them. Nice jumper though.

DryWhiteagainW · 03/05/2017 18:13

Sensible Shop. I've sent both pairs of embroidered shoes and a dress I couldn't mention back......polishing Halo

Blair I love that dress....the only thing I'd say is what would you wear over it if it wasn't warm enough outside? Presumably Henley is mostly outdoors.

Everyone I bought an 8 . If you wore it with a skirt I think you'd have to tuck it in, not sure how that would look, definitely a trouser/jeans top for me...reaches mid hip I'd say. Lovely on.

Ootd
Jack Wills chambray frill shirt
7/8 black trousers
KUrt G pointy black patent shoes
Felt good.......Z and V sunnies

Lovely and warm here, no tights, no boots, no coat Shock

shopafrolic · 03/05/2017 19:07

Freezing here Dry

I've lost my fashion mojo Shock. I blame the holiday-I got used to wear just a dress or shorts/top, no jewellery (too hot) and no make up. I've been really lazy ever since and just can't seem to get it together again! Hated today's outfit-RI jeans which in theory look great, but in reality stretch and bag and I'm sick of hoiking them up. To charity they go. And a blouse and cardi which I hate together but it was comfy. You can tell I'm a natural can't you Grin

Shame about the boots shop but at least you've tried them everything rather than keep thinking about them.
blair I'm not sure about the dress-looks like it could be quite tricky to wear?

shopafrolic · 04/05/2017 09:37

Morning all.
Wearing my new &OS sweater - feel a bit like an 80s throwback but I love it. Need to get my Spring jeans situation sorted. Still on the hunt for straight leg jeans that I can turn up or crops. If anyone sees anything good then please shout. this kind of vibe
Have a lovely day Voguettes - sun is shining.
If you work at Buckingham Palace then give us the inside scoop please Grin

Looking at how &OS styled the silver boots they even shot the model sitting down. I don't think they would look as good if this model was standing.

Grin Shop. Poor Queen and DoE - they will both probably pass the 100 mark and have up to 10 years of people constantly speculating about their demise to look forward to.

Yesterday I wore the Me&Em dress that I have mixed feelings about and I got loads of compliments. DH said he thinks it really suits me and one colleague told me I looked like I had walked out of a magazine page Blush. I wore it with the R&B heeled chelsea boots and oversized Hobbs orange scarf. So I may need to regrade it to a like or even love item. Bernice I was going to try it in the machine today but after all the love it got yesterday I may dry clean for now.

I seem to be physically falling apart - I have a really bad head cold / sinusitis. Got very little sleep last night so feeling very groggy. In PJ's and an oversized H&M sweater.

libertydoddle · 04/05/2017 09:57

I saw them in store the other day Shop, they are lovely but you won't get the wear...send them back and no regrets!

shopafrolic · 04/05/2017 10:08

Thanks Lib - I needed a nudge - they've gone.

I have just ordered this Me&Em dress. I have an awards night in June and I am hoping it might work for that - looks easy to dress up.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 04/05/2017 13:04

hi all

was up north this past weekend for Ds's birthday, he had a great time, loved his gifts and is a happy bunny Smile

no fashion news to report, haven't bought anything apart from a couple of pairs of basic black shorts, just not feeling the urge to buy anything at all and i never seem to see anything i want enough to buy so i'm just going through my clothes and wearing what i've already got and actually enjoying it.

shop nice as the silver boots are, you've done right to send them back if you just won't get the wear from them. Shame as they are really nice but if you know you won't wear them with what you've got, it would be pointless keeping them

lib you poor thing, feeling rubbish all the time is so draining isn't it. I hope you manage to sleep tonight, not sleeping just makes everything feel even worse really

Dreamqueen · 04/05/2017 16:32

i've just bought yet another striped top saw this in TK Maxx when I went to collect my order earlier. It fits very well & is made of lovely smooth material. I'd had my eye on it online ages ago.

Love that jumper Shop

shopafrolic · 04/05/2017 17:41

me&em dress looks good Lib. Did you get it in the red or navy?
Sinusitis is awful - Blingy's tip of saltwater nasal sprays has helped me immensely. Hope you improve swiftly - sounds as though you are generally run down, lots going on for you right now.

I got the red shop. I've just gone downhill all day. Feeling immensely sorry for myself. Have cleared diary for tomorrow and will vegetate....I'm streaming so salt water spray not needed TMI

shopafrolic · 04/05/2017 18:00

That's good news though - will lessen the headache. Hugs my friend.

lib you poor thing. I blame the weather. It's back to feeling like winter. Also I was up in town the other day and could feel the pollution on Oxford street (especially at the Tottenham court Road end) and my throat has been sore ever since. Hmm Hope you feel better after an easy day. Red dress looks nice. What a lovely compliment the other day.

You can never have enough striped tops dream Grin

Glad you had a nice weekend one and your DS enjoyed his birthday.

I think this miserable weather is definitely affecting my our fashion and style mojo. We are teased with a hint of summer and then in a flash, it's back to feeling like winter. It feels like it's been winter forever.

I did see some jeans recently somewhere shop that looked like that. I think they were MiH. I'm sure it was on the WIT instagram page. I'll have a look and get back to you.

Everyonelovessparkles · 04/05/2017 20:51

WIT jeans for shop is this the kind of jeans? They are MiH
