Mint - thanks!!!! everyone I speak to seems to love it - I am just not getting on with it at all - think I will be back to my Bobbi Brown Clensing oil which both me and my face loved!!!!!!

mintmagnummm · 02/05/2017 16:04

I know I thought I was the only hater! I almost got to the bottom of the jar and was beginning to think it was going to be hg for me but then I started breaking out and my skin seemed more dehydrated and irritated. I gave the rest of the jar away! Anything Clinique irritates me!

lifeistooshort · 02/05/2017 16:36

pasturegreen so sorry to hear about your gran Sad Flowers

ememem84 · 02/05/2017 20:13

Empties:

Soap n glory travel size scrub
Clarins day moisturising lotion - thought I'd have to replace this today but found two travel sizes in the stash. Should maybe last me until payday.

My sis donated two tresseme dry shampoos to me yesterday. So although I'm a batiste girl at heart am close to running out so gratefully accepted these.

kwick · 02/05/2017 22:29

@pasturesgreen I am so sorry to hear about your loss Flowers sounds like you have found a way to honour your Gran's memory.
Well done on all your empties!!!
May I enquire if the Clinique eye cream contains caffeine or any ingredients that begin with "cyclo" and end in "xane" - I am on the look out for a new eye cream.

I have thrown out a Cath kidston cuticle cream which had turned funny - I don't think I put the lid on properly last use. I'm still counting it though, of course!

Strawberryfield12 · 03/05/2017 07:34

Sorry for your loss pasturesgreen Flowers

kwick · 03/05/2017 08:58

So so so good to wash grease ball hair this morning Grin shame about rain as it will turn into a la chewbacca now...

pasturesgreen · 03/05/2017 09:36

@kwick, the Clinique eye cream I'm using (the one in the orange tube) does contain caffeine, sorry. No ingredients that begin with cyclo or xane, though. I'd post a picture of the ingredients list but the font is so tiny it's hard to read.

Finished one of my Rituals advent calendar bits.....Happy Buddha, a lovely sunny, uplifting shower foam. Have a full sized version of it in the stash, love it.

applesandpears33 · 03/05/2017 11:27

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour hand cream. This was quite nice, but I've got other ones in the stash.

EleanorRigbysNeice · 03/05/2017 12:45

Grin. Clinique TTDO in the big jar was like goose fat, for me. I hated it and gave to my niece.

Finished Paul Smith Rose. Have worn for years so, most likely will replace it, at some point. It's not all "old lady roses" on me and often get asked what it is.

kwick · 03/05/2017 14:58

Thanks pastures...not for me then... although I imagine the quantities of caffeine are minimal.

Evening all, wow, some impressive achievements here!
I have actually finished a full size talc - I love talc and even though I am well under 75 I've always used it. Since the cancer scares though I've been using a Johnson & Johnson cornstarch one. It annoys me that you have to buy them online as I'm sure I'm not the only one. Anyhow, when I ordered it Amazon reminded me that it was almost exactly a year to the day since I bought the last one!
I am crawling my way through a S&G shower gel, I'm very bored of the smell already and have returned from a lovely spa break with hotel freebies, then accidentally bought the nail polishes they used there as well.. so I'm not really ahead!

mintmagnummm · 04/05/2017 06:37

Pepper what do you use talc for? When and how? I've always liked the thought of talc Grin

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 04/05/2017 07:08

badgers I too am still enjoying the rituals advent calendar. Love the mint hamman range.
kwick that reminds me I would love a trip to lush for some more ultrabland and no more bath bombs in stash but always end up spending lots. But I do have 5 empty pots taking up room......

plumstone · 04/05/2017 10:09

Well I am totally done with Clinique TTDO and yesterday bought my believed Bobbi Brown Cleansing oil - so delighted to have this back and being used.

Also - I went to the Dermalogica counter to get their spot gel stuff which I like to have for emergencies or in the current situation as part of pm routine!!! managed to get swayed into buying their new eye lift cream in a tube with a funny metal massager thingy - used it last night and this morning - feels lovely and she did say it will rehydrate the area more effectively, it won't get rid of sagging and wrinkles but will improve skin texture and hydration levels which will improve the overall look. I will keep going and see what happens!!!

mintmagnummm · 04/05/2017 10:55

Ooooh plum tell me more about this Bobbi brown oil?? And which dermalogica spot stuff is it?? Does it work?? I'm looking for a new spot treatment myself and I like dermalogica I swear by their ultracalming cleanser

plumstone · 04/05/2017 14:04

Mint - the BB cleansing oil is lovely - comes in a pump bottle, lovely and light and lasts ages - £32 so no that cheap but lasts and lasts, and doesn't bring me out in spots - a total win in my book!!

The Dermalogica stuff is their over night spot gel - again not cheap £45 but the last bottle lasted over a year. It says to spread over the affected area and leave on over night - I do this and then throughout the day as and when there is a spot so big it visible from space - which is the current situation!!!!!

mintmagnummm · 04/05/2017 14:51

Thanks plum I'll check those out! What's ur skin type

mintmagnummm · 04/05/2017 14:52

Oh and meant to say u can get dermalogica much cheaper online.

plumstone · 04/05/2017 15:29

Dehydrated apart from chin which is an oil slick!!!!!! I know however I have a weird aversion to buying skin stuff on line!!!!

ememem84 · 04/05/2017 17:37

pepper I have an ancient bottle of talc in my beach bag. And only use it to get rid of sand. I've had it for about a gazillion years. Johnsons baby powder. Love the smell of it though.

kwick · 04/05/2017 18:23

Ooo @ememem84 how does the sand/talc thing work?
I have a bottle of talc (and one in stash) from Crabtree - jojoba - used it when waxing - which is not very often anymore (I tend to shave instead).
